Chapter 0297
Chosen By The Moon
Chosen By The Moon âWhere is everyone today? Usually thereâs always people coming in and out of here.â She smiled turning round to show me her arms full of food.
âI simply asked for the kitchen today. No one will disturb us.â She stated it so nonchalantly I had to wonder who she was. Why would she have the power to tell people to not enter the kitchen.
âAre you Alpha Gilliards mom?â I asked suddenly having my brain actually work. The lady chuckled and smiled, as she began chopping up cucumber, and beef for some sandwiches, and then splattered them both between two slices of bread cach, lastly she filled two glasses with lemonade, and sat down at the kitchen bar with me.
âMy names Ygritte.â She finally stated before tucking into her lunch. I nodded my head and took a bite of my own food.
After lunch we talked, washed up from baking and then decorated the cake with cream and strawberries. It looked really nice actually, nothing professional but still impressive. It had taken Four hours altogether, but it was genuinely quite fun, although I had no doubt I would need another shower due to the amount of cake mix that rested on my arms and in my once clean hair.
âAunt Ygritte, did you enjoy your day?â Gilliard suddenly came in while we were finishing wiping the table down from the cream and strawberry juice we had left behind, when my head turned to him.
âAunt Ygritte? But you said you wereâ¦â my confusion caused Ygritte to chuckle at me. I was unbelievably confused.
âI didnât say I was his mother. You came to that conclusion on your own.â What? Even Gilliard looked a bit confused at the interaction. âI wanted to meet you without you trying to match any expectations, and I must say, I had a lovely time. Well, I know how busy you are, so Iâll get going, Iâm sure Elias will just love his cake, and my son should be back from checking on the borders and Oliver soon.â
âElias?..â Wait a second. Her blonde hair suddenly seemed really familiar, and she had stated the cake we had made was for her mate. âYouâre Lewisâs mom?!â She smiled and lifted the cake effortlessly.
âWeâll catch up again soon, Dylan.â Just like that, she was gone. It was the single most strange meeting I had ever had.
âDid she really not tell you she was Lewisâs mom?â Gilliard laughed as he looked around the now clean. kitchen.
âNo she didnât.â Gilliard chuckled nodding his head, somehow not surprised in the least at his aunties antics.
âSheâs always been Eccentric, but I thought she would have told you. I wouldnât have expected you to have agreed to bake with her otherwise.â I mean, did I really agree to it?
âIâm not sure I did agree.â I shook my head sighing at the pleasant day I had actually had. It had been a while since I was able to just have fun, without being hounded by responsibilities I never Lewisâs mom gave me that, she gave me time to just be Dylan, not a queen or a rebel. Just me.
âAnyway, wanted. is the device all set up for the phone call later? They are 14 hours ahead of us right? So if I call at about 9:00pm itâll be 11:00am there.â
He nodded his head and chuckled popping half a strawberry in his mouth from the ones left over.
âYup, everything is ready for you. Iâll give you full use of the office⦠the rebellion wonât know what hit them.â
