Chapter 440
Tasting All My Mates
440-He Is Not Our Thiago!
We have walked away from Thiago after he walked away to call Janet for me. I couldnât process the whole thing. It was as if I came out of one nightmare and entered another one.
âIt is his Lycan, so basically he is our enemy,â Lazlo claimed as soon as we gathered around in the parking lot.
âI agree with you. He is worse than Corbin for us,â Maynard agreed instantly with Lazlo. The girls were silently watching their alphas walk back and forth aggressively.
âPerhaps for you,â I interrupted the two, who came to a halt and looked at me.
Enter titleâ¦
âWhat are you trying to say?â Maynard was the one who raised that question.
He briskly came even closer, standing beside me with his hands in his pants and hunching over me.
âCorbin has been friends with you all, but to me, he has done so much that I cannot see him as any less than my worst enemy. Of course, you wouldnât know since you guys have life of your own, which I am not even a part of.
As for Thiago, he means a lot to me. He has done way more for me than anybody has ever done,â I said without breaking my posture.
âTheo too? Theo stole Thiago from you. He is a Lycan, he is a monster,â
Maynard argued while Lazlo was staring at my face in shock.
âAnd yet he sacrificed himself for me,â I scoffed and raised my face to look at them both, âWhile you to debated outside the office room, thinking if you should come inside for me, Theo didnât think twice before jumping into the other dimension to save me. I donât blame you, everyone has priorities. Hence, my priority is very clear,â I murmured, folding my arms over my est.
That was Thiago, I am sure. He is still somewhere in thereâ,â Maynard added with a little stutter. I let out a scoff and shook my head at him for acting so st*pid.
âYet you want me to give up on him? If he is in there, I will find a way to free him,â I said, making deep but confident eye contact with Maynard before turning to Lazlo and walking past him.
âNow where are you headed to?â Maynard complained, walking behind me briskly.
âI promised Janet I would be with her,â I yelled to make them hear me. Maynard couldnât walk after me after he realized I wasnât stopping.
Once on the ground again, I looked around for Janet and found her standing with Theo. It wasnât going to be easy for me to be around him and not feel anything. But I had to keep my emotions intact. This news turned my life around in an unbelievable way.
âJanet!â I called for her after approaching her. She turned to me with a smile on her lips but tears in her eyes.
âHey! everything will be fine,â I instantly pulled her in a hug and patted her back.
Thatâs when I came into direct sight of Theo:
âAnd you said you are one unlucky person,â Theo commented, taking a sip from his drink. I broke the hug and rolled my eyes at him for his subtle flirting with me.
âSee! You got a hug. I didnât get anything,â Theo told Janet, who frowned at him.
So Iâm guessing she wasnât thrilled to see Theo in Thiagoâs body.
âOh, come on! You ladies are acting like it is going to make any difference. I am him; he is me.â He shrugged, raising his brow.
âIf you donât mind, can I speak to her alone?â I asked him, sounding annoyed, and it made his lips form a pout. âSure!â He rolled his eyes and walked away from us. I saw Lazlo and the others return and couldnât figure out why.
I thought they didnât want to come here.
âJanet! What happened? How the hell did Corbin mark you?â I asked her, pulling her aside while keeping my eyes on the surroundings.
âHe appeared on the road, pretended to be wounded, and was attacked by rogues. I was already in the middle of having a panic attack from all the earthquakes and power outages, and when he, too, claimed the rogues had attacked us, I lost my mind. He then told me he would help our pack if only I accepted him and let him mark me.
Enya! I was having a m*ntal breakdown, so I didnât think too much, butâ-,â she paused once it became too much for her to talk about it.
âI understand.â I held her hand to comfort her. She was not the one to be blamed off. The way he cornered her was already scary. So the earthquake wasnât his idea. I was right about the portal opening and someone arriving.
But what exactly went wrong and why Theo took over Thiago was beyond me. I then looked around, and my eyes fell on âDonât you worry. Now that the alpha of your pack has arrived, I am sure he will find a way to help us out of this mess,â I said once, passing a quick glance around.
Listening to me suggest we should ask Theo for help made Janet look even sadder.
âHe is not our Thiago. I talked to him, and he told me in clear words that he will not partake in someone elseâs mess.â Her words made my heart ache. How could he be so heartless? Lycan or not, he should have some of Thiagoâs qualities.
âThatâs nonsense. If he doesnât want to help, then I will do something on my own,â I promised her, turning my face to Theo and glaring at him from afar. He frowned when he noticed my look. I excused Janet to walk back to my so-called husband and friends, and thatâs when Theo rushed to meet me halfway.
âI am assuming from your angry glares that she told you something that made you upset,â he stated, rushing in my way and blocking me from dodging him.
âAnd why do you care what the issue is?â I groaned angrily.
âI donât care about any issue,â he shrugged, âbut you do, and that is my only concern. So tell me, what is it?â He forced a fake smile and asked, âIs it Kellice?â His smirk turned genuine when he mentioned her.
