Chapter 47
Rejected Slave To The Alpha
Chapter 47 Chapter 47.
Emilyâs POV.
The early morning sun poured in through the window, shining directly into my eyes. | let out a groan, pulling the covers over my head, trying to block out the light. But it was no use, the sun was relentless, and | was too tired to fight it. With a sigh of irritation, | threw the covers off and sat up, rubbing my eyes.
I stood up, my body protesting every movement. | dragged myself to the bathroom, the floor cold beneath my bare feet. |
splashed water on my face, the coolness waking me up a little. | packed my hair into a messy bun, holding it in place with a hair tie. | grabbed my nightgown and slipped it over my head, and as | stepped out of the room, | froze.
| could hear moaning coming from Nellyâs room. | crept closer, trying to make out what was happening. The door was slightly ajar, and | peered through the crack, my heart racing.
There they were, Alpha Kex and Nelly, entangled together on the bed. | felt a surge of anger, and before | knew what | was doing, | kicked over the flower vase on the side table. It shattered on the floor, the sound of breaking glass stopping them in their tracks. | turned and fled, my heart racing, my mind reeling.
| entered Alpha Kexâs room, my heart still pounding. | began pacing, my thoughts racing. What did Nelly have that | didnât? | was his beta sister, the sister of his heart, but heâd chosen her instead. She was nothing but a Rejected girl, cast out by her pack, while | had everything, a man could want.
The door burst open, and Kex strode into the room. | rushed to his side, my arms. outstretched, ready to embrace him. But before | could reach him, he pushed me away, putting a few feet of distance between us. | tried to move closer, but he held up his hand, stopping me in my tracks.
âStop, Emily,â he said, his voice firm. âI donât want this.â | felt my heart sink, my hands falling to my sides. | felt lost, adrift, unsure of what to do next.
âAm | not good enough for you?â | asked, my voice breaking.
He looked up at me, his eyes full of sorrow. âItâs not about that, Emily,â he said. âIâm just so tired. | donât have the energy for this.â
| felt my anger turn to anguish, a sinking feeling settling in my chest. âSo you're just going to throw me away? Like | donât matter?â | said, my voice trembling.
âYou know thatâs not what Iâm saying,â he replied, but | was already too hurt to listen.
âAm | not beautiful?â | asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
He looked at me, his gaze gentle, but firm. âYou are beautiful,â he said, his voice soft but sincere. âEvery man would want you.â
But his words didnât soothe my pain. âNo, it doesnât seem so,â | replied, my voice. breaking. âNo one has ever looked at me the way you look at Nelly.â
He sighed, and | saw a hint of regret in his eyes. âYou're not just anyone, Emily. Youâre my beta sister. | canât look at you that way.â
âThatâs it?â | said, my voice shaking with frustration. âYou keep saying Iâm your beta sister, but weâre not related. Just say you donât like me. You donât have to sugarcoat it.â
But he shook his head, a pained expression on his face. âYouâre making a big deal out of nothing,â he said. âWe both know thatâs not it. I've always seen you as my sister, and | canât change that.â
But | was too angry to hear him out. âIâm not your sister,â | said, my voice rising in volume. âI will never be your sister.â | could see the hurt in his eyes, but | was too caught up in my feelings to care.
He looked at me, his eyes wide with shock. âWhat's gotten into you, Emily?â he asked, his voice trembling. âDid someone say something bad to you?â | rolled my eyes, my anger boiling over.
â| donât need someone to say something bad to me to know how | feel,â | said. âAnd we both know that weâre not siblings. Iâve never seen you as my brother.â
He sighed, his shoulders slumping. âI know, but | have a mate, Emily,â he said. | scoffed, my patience gone.
âAnd yet, you keep fucking Nelly behind her back,â | snapped. âYou call her your friend, but sheâs nothing more than your whore.
So save me the crap about your mate.â
âHow dare you call Nelly a whore!â he roared, his eyes flashing with anger.
H âYes, thatâs what she is. Sheâs a whore, bed warmer, a man snatcher and.......,â but | was cut olf.
âStop it! Whether you like it or not, sheâs important to me, and | won't tolerate you insulting her.â
My heart was racing, my blood pounding in my ears. | was shocked by his reaction, and MI | couldn't hide my tears.
âI've never seen you speak to me like this,â | said, my voice shaking. âBut today you're yelling at me because of Nelly?â
He sighed, his anger dissipating as he saw my tears. âIâm sorry,â he said, his voice softer now. âYou're the one making me angry!â
he exclaimed, his voice growing louder but soft. âYouâre making me talk like this, youâre pushing me to my limits,â he continued, his chest heaving.
miss âI'm sorry,â | whispered, tears streaming down my face. âI just donât know what to do. | my brother so much, and | feel so alone. |
just want someone to be there for me.â He reached out to touch my arm, but | recoiled.
âEmily,â he said, his voice trembling. But | held up my hand, cutting him off.
âItâs fine, Iâm fine,â | said, though | knew | wasnât. âMaybe | was just trying to keep up my late brotherâs wish that | didnât realize |
was hurting you.â
He looked at me, his expression a mix of confusion and hurt. âWhat do you mean?â he asked, his voice soft. âWhat was your brother's wish?â
| hesitated, unsure if | should tell him the truth. But | knew | had to. âHe wanted us to be together,â | said, my voice barely a whisper.
His eyes widened, his mouth agape, as if he couldnât believe what | had just said. | forced a smile, but it felt hollow.
âYou donât have to fulfill that wish,â | said, my voice barely audible.
Then | turned and walked to the door, closing it softly behind me. | could hear him. calling my name, but | kept walking, not looking back.
When | was far from him, | leaned against the wall, my head spinning. | couldn't believe | had just told him that.
| took a deep breath, steadying myself as | reached for the doorknob. | turned it slowly, pushing the door open and stepping inside. But as | looked around, | froze, staring hard.
at my room.
