Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 14
Cassandra said, âItâs possible. Weâd better be careful.â
âOkay, Iâll look into it,â Michael said.
Michael seemed hesitant to say something.
However, Cassandra didnât dwell much on it and thought he was tired, so she told him to rest early and ended.
the call.
After turning off the computer, she picked up her phone and checked the time. It was already ten oâclock. Orlando probably wouldnât come back tonight.
Cassandra suddenly remembered his warning. He had said that he wanted her to maintain a distance from the opposite sex before the divorce. âBut what about him? Shouldnât we abide by the same rule?â she mused.
Cassandra pressed her lips and dialed Orlandoâs phone directly.
The phone was answered swiftly, and a womanâs gentle voice came. âCassandra? Iâm Rebecca. What can I do for you?â
Cassandraâs face stiffened as she thought, âHe really loves Rebecca. He even lets her use his private items such as his phone.â
Cassandra clenched her teeth and said in a low voice, âCan you pass the phone to him?â
âSorry, heâs not available now. Why donât you call back later?â Rebecca said.
âItâs okay. I can wait,â Cassandra said.
I
âCassandra, itâs not that I donât want him to answer the phone, butâ¦â Rebecca paused.
âBut what?â Cassandra didnât give up and asked.
Rebecca silently glanced at the door that had just been shut. Orlando went to discuss her discharge from the hospital with the doctor, but she didnât reveal the truth over the phone. âItâs just that Landy is taking a shower now, and I donât know how long it will take him, soâ¦â
Cassandraâs face stiffened with disbelief in her eyes.
H
âAre they
Intimate?â she asked silently.

She sneered in her heart, âCassandra, do you see it now? He only asks you to keep a distance from the opposite sex, but he doesnât have any self control when facing Rebecca!
Cassandra clutched her phone tightly and said indifferently, âOkay, I see. Then, I wonât bother you.â
After saying that, she quickly hung up before Rebecca could respond. She was afraid that she might reveal her envy if she hung up one second late.
She understood clearly now that the soâcalled âkeeping a distance from the opposite sexâ was just a reminder not to do anything that would tarnish his reputation. As for her reputation, it didnât matter at all. Orlando never considered whether she would be mocked by others.
Cassandra sneered and thought, If I were Rebecca, Orlando wouldnât be willing to do this.
However, there were no ifs in this world.
In the ward, Rebecca held Orlandoâs phone and hesitated for a while. Then, she deleted the call record and put it back.
The door of the ward was pushed open at the next moment. Orlandoâs slender figure walked in slowly. He noticed that Rebecca looked a little flustered, so he asked, âWhatâs wrong? Are you feeling unwell?â
Rebecca shook her head and smiled, her eyes sparkling. âLandy, what did the doctor say?â
âYou should take a good rest for the moment. You can be discharged from the hospital in two days. Iâll arrange accommodation for you,â Orlando said.
âOkay. Iâll do whatever you say,â Rebecca said.
âOkay,â Orlando responded.
He glanced at the phone on the counter next to him, and then reached out to check. There was no message. His eyes gradually darkened, and he said in a low voice, âItâs late. You should rest now. Iâll go back and come to visit
you tomorrow.â
Rebecca quickly reached out and clutched the corner of his clothes. She pursed her lips and spoke with eluctance. âLandy, Iâm scared to stay alone. Can you stay tonight?â
Orlandoâs face was expressionless, and his blue eyes were indifferent. He said, âRebecca, itâs not convenient for ne to stay here. I am married. It will be bad for you if the news gets out. I have informed the caretaker to come over later, okay? They should be here in no time.â

fall. She asked, âLandy, are you really going to divorce Cassandra? I donât want to force you, but for some unknown reason, Iâve been feeling quite insecure. Iâm afraid that you will have feelings for Cassandra. After all, sheâs bright and prettyâ¦â
Orlando frowned and said, âI will definitely divorce her. Itâs just that we still need some time to deal with Grandpa. Rebecca, you should rest and recuperate. As for the other things, I will take care of them.â
âThen, can you stay with me tonight?â Rebecca pleaded.
