Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma by Jean Oscar ( Cassandra Jackson ) Chapter 16
Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 16
Lloyd made a clarification.
Then, he added, âEven if your grandpa likes her, she will just be an outsider. Perhaps later on, your grandpa might even propose to let her marry Michael.â
Hearing Lloydâs words, Orlando couldnât help but imagine the scene when Cassandra and Michael were married.
Orlandoâs face turned instantly cold and gloomy. His deep blue eyes resembled a thick layer of crushed ice. He stopped discussing the topic, reached for the glass in front of him, and drank it all.
Cassandra tossed and turned in bed and couldnât fall asleep. She felt as though an ant was biting her heart. The pain was not strong, but it was unbearable.
She decided to go to the Quinn manor tomorrow morning and discuss with Peter to end this tormenting
marriage as soon as possible.
She closed her eyes and was about to force herself to fall asleep when her phone suddenly rang. It was from
Orlando.
âWhy is he calling at this time?â she pondered.
She hesitated for a while before answering it. âHello?â
âCass
? itâs Lloyd. Orlando is drunk at Dark Veil Club; can you come and get him now?â Lloydâs voice
sound on the phone.
âIs he at Dark Veil Club?â Cassandra frowned and looked surprised.
âIsnât he in the hospital with Rebecca? After all, Rebecca said he was taking a bath. Didnât he mean to stay there?â she thought.
Cassandra pursed her lips. Of course, she didnât want to go. She was especially mindful and felt upset about what might happen between Orlando and Rebecca in the hospital.
She said, âYou can send him home. Iâm not going.â
âCassandra, Orlando is your husband. Weâre both drunk, and itâs not safe for us to drive. You can let him stay at Dark Veil Club if itâs more convenient for you. Many women want to be close to him, so who knows what might

Cassandra was caught in a dilemma. In the end, she finally compromised and drove to Dark Veil Club.
She knew that Orlando and his friends were in a designated private room of Dark Veil Club. She pushed open the door and walked into it. It was very quiet inside, with Orlando alone lying on the couch.
He seemed to have drunk a lot, and she could smell the strong alcohol when she got closer.
Cassandra whispered to him, âOrlando⦠Orlando⦠Wake up.â
There was no response.
She pursed her lips and looked discontented. She asked, âWerenât you with Rebecca in the hospital? Why were you drinking here again? Did Rebecca kick you out because you havenât divorced me?â
âHe has a high tolerance for the woman he loves,â Cassandra commented inwardly.
Cassandra tried to help him up, but he was too heavy. She was worried about the baby in her belly, so she had to call the waiter over to get him up.
The breeze wafted through their way back to Dustmeadow Mansion. When the car came to a stop, she stepped out and opened the back seat door. She yelped in surprise when she met Orlandoâs deep, blue eyes, âAre you awake?â
âAre you unhappy to pick me up?â Orlando asked in a low voice.
Cassandra pursed her lips and said, âNo.â
âIn that case, why are you pulling a long face in front of me?â he asked.
âYouâre overthinking it. I am always like this,â Cassandra said.
âCassandra, youâre lying. You never did this before. In the past, when I drank, youâd take me home right away and prepare a hangover remedy for me,â Orlando complained.
His words seemed to hold a hint of hurt feelings.
Cassandra frowned and felt incredulous. âIt seems that he is really drunk. He could remember these things, but why didnât he remember our situation now?â she commented inwardly.
She responded, âOrlando, we are going to divorce. I shouldnât do these things in the future.â

âCould you stop talking about divorce? Itâs getting really irritating to hear it all the time,â Orlando suddenly said.
He suddenly got a little angry, and even his face turned gloomy.
Cassandra smiled helplessly as she thought, âBut this is the truth. Or does he feel annoyed when he realizes he hasnât divorced me ye
