Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma by Jean Oscar ( Cassandra Jackson ) Chapter 22
Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 22
âCassandra? Sorry, Iâm Rebecca.â Rebeccaâs gentle voice slowly sounded.
Cassandra froze briefly before asking flatly, âWhy are you the one who answered?â
âLandy went to the restroom and told me to hold on to his phone. How about you call back later? If youâre free, you can come over too. Weâre selecting my wedding dress. Itâll be great if you can come and give me suggestions. After all, youâre an expert in this field,â said Rebecca.
Hearing that they were selecting a wedding dress, Cassandra stiffened.
Her gaze was dull and frigid as she asked stonily, âYou said you two are selecting your wedding dress?â
âMmâhmm. Landy said Iâm getting better every day, so we can host the wedding once you two divorce. Weâre preparing the wedding photos and stuff in advance now lest we have no time later. You wonât mind, right? After all, you donât like Landy,â said Rebecca.
Cassandraâs voice was indifferent. âOf course not. How could I mind? In fact, I give you two my blessings. So, is this all Orlandoâs plan?â
âYeah. Landy dotes on me and has always been considerate in this aspect, fearing Iâll suffer any grievances,â Rebecca responded tenderly.
Cassandra stopped probing and didnât want to continue bothering them. âYou guys go ahead, then. I wonât bother you anymore.â
âArenât you coming, Cassandra?â asked Rebecca.
Cassandra didnât respond and hung up, pretending she didnât hear it.
âIâm an architect, not a wedding dress designer. What will I do there? Design their matrimonial home? I canât believe she actually said that,â she mused.
Compared with Cassandra, who had never had this opportunity, nor would she ever have again, Rebecca was totally a woman in bliss right now.
âAlthough Rebecca was unconscious for a year because of Orlando, she has his wholehearted love and lifelong companionship in return now. I, on the other hand, am nothing to him, thought Cassandra selfâdeprecatingly.
What Orlando did made Cassandra feel absurd.

Chapter 22
âHe was the one who said we should postpone the divorce for Grandpa Peter today, and yet he goes selecting wedding dresses and taking wedding photos with his love the next second. What does he take me for? An idiot?â Cassandra sneered inwardly, her exquisite face pale in agony.
Cassandra put her hand on her belly and mumbled, âIâm sorry, Baby. I canât give you a complete home, but I will do my best to love you.â
Due to this phone call, she was mentally prepared for Orlando not to return tonight.
Even though he had repeatedly emphasized that he would not do anything that betrayed their marriage while they were married, she truly wanted to ask him how him selecting wedding dresses with Rebecca wasnât a betrayal now.
Cassandra told herself not to think about it anymore, as the outcome would not change. She would take this as a way to adapt to living without him in advance.
She briefly ate something, and then returned to the bedroom to take a shower and lie down.
In the midst of her sleep, she sensed light and immediately saw Orlando staring down at her from above by the bedside once she opened her eyes.
âWhy is he back?â she wondered.
She then voiced her thoughts. âWhy are you back?â
Orlando frowned, replying blandly, âThis is my home. Where else am I going to go?â
âDidnât you go to accompany Ms. Spencer? I thought you wouldnât come back tonight,â she remarked.
âCassandra, why have you been speaking so gratingly these days? Quit using Rebecca ast an excuse to quarrel with me, will you?â he said.
Orlandoâs questioning and reproach wholly triggered the dissatisfaction she had suppressed for a night.
Cassandra sat up and faced Orlando before her without flinching or fear, questioning icily, âSo you think itâs my fault? Shouldnât you know why Iâm being this way?â
