Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma by Jean Oscar ( Cassandra Jackson ) Chapter 41
Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 41
âBecause Mr. Jackson wanted to entrust her to me and hoped that I could support her, and that the Quinn family could be her backer. Mr. Jackson was critically ill at that time. Even though he helped me many years ago, he never asked me for anything in return. This is the first and last time. Cassie is a good girl. I owe it to her grandfather, and now her. I wonât interfere if you stand by your decision to divorce her, but Orlando, as a member of the Quinn family, you are responsible for what you owe to them. If it werenât for Mr. Jackson, we wouldnât be able to chat like this todayâ
Many years ago, Damianâs favor came as a timely help to Peter. Otherwise, the latter might not be able to make it through.
Although the relationship between the two families had not been frequent and intimate for many years, their bond had always existed.
Peterâs words made Orlando silent. Peter added, âI donât mean to guilt trip you. I just want you to know that the Quinn family owes her. I promised Cassieâs grandfather that I would guarantee her happiness for the rest of her life. If you divorce, I will disclose to the public that Cassie is my granddaughter and find someone for her in the name of the Quinn family. In addition, I will give part of the company shares to Cassie as a dowry. I only hope you can be mentally prepared in advance.â
Peterâs words made Orlandoâs face darker and darker. Although Peter had asked him to find a suitable partner for Cassandra before the divorce, now Peter had obviously changed his mind.
Orlando was silent for a long time.
Iâve said this much. Any thoughts on what I said?â Peter said.
âGrandpa, we havenât divorced yet. Isnât it a little unfair for you to do this?â Orlando asked.
âHuh.â Peter smiled and narrowed his eyes with a sneer, âIs what you did fair to Cassie? You havenât divorced yet, but you let Rebecca live in Dustmeadow Mansion. Orlando? Do you think thatâs fair?â
Orlandoâs eyes were deep and his face was full of emotion. He just said faintly, âGrandpa, I have n
my plan.â
âFine. Youâve grown up and I canât control you anymore, so donât talk about fairness with me. Two days later, go get the divorce done,â Peter said.
Peter said nothing more and waved Orlando out.
He leaned back on the seat, his eyes slightly closed and he was a little tired. Alfred came in. He walked up to Peter and asked in a low voice, âWhy donât you tell him directly? Maybe he wonât divorce if he knows.â
âCassie doesnât want to make him stay using the child. Since he wants to divorce, just let him be. He will regret it in the future, Peter said.
He snorted coldly and said nothing more as he thought, âWho knows what will happen in the end?
Orlando and Cassandraâs relationship eased when the two of them stayed in the Quinn manor these two days.
They stayed together almost every day, as if back in the days when they had not mentioned the divorce.
They ate and lived together like a normal couple.
But Cassandra knew that it was all because of Peterâs arrangement.
The twoâday period was over in the blink of an eye, which meant that they were going to divorce.
In the morning, they accompanied Peter, Frederick, and Gabriela to have breakfast. Everyone tacitly didnât mention the divorce.

promises. Set a time to go through the paperwork.â
Cassandra nodded, and so did Orlando.
Frederick and Gabriela didnât say anything. After all, Peter had already asked for it.
The two of thers didnât stay longer. They just sat for a while and left the Quinn manor together.
In the car. Orlando was driving and Cassandra was sitting in the passenger seat.
She asked. âOrlando, when do you want to go through with the paperwork? Now?â
Orlando frowned and asked calmly, âAre you in a hurry?â
âHuh?â Cassandra was perplexed.
If youâre not in a hurry, letâs wait for tomorrow. I havenât been to the company for two days. Let me drive you home first and then I have to go to the company to deal with some things, okay?â Orlando asked in a gentle voice.
Cassandra naturally understood. After all, things in the company were not trivial, so she nodded and said, âOkay, letâs do it tomorrow morning.
âOkay,â Orlando replied impassively. It was quite a perfunctory reply.
But at this moment, Cassandra didnât notice it at all. She was just a little depressed. She thought that she should move out after going through with the paperwork tomorrow. She had to find a place to stay soon. Although Orlando said he would leave Dustmeadow Mansion to her, she did not want to live in such a big place alone.
Orlando sent her back to Dustmeadow Mansion and went straight to the company.
When Cassandra walked into the room, Rebecca immediately greeted her with a faint smile on her face. But when she saw that it was Cassandra, her expression changed immediately. âWhy are you here? Whereâs Landy?â
Rebecca didnât give up and looked behind Cassandra, but there was no sign of him.
Cassandra ignored her and walked past her. She planned to go upstairs directly.
Seeing this, Rebecca immediately stepped forward to stop her and said, âCassandra, Iâm talking to you. Where is Landy?â
âRebecca, who are you to me? What obligation do I have to answer your question? Cassandra said coldly.
Rebecca was speechless. She just glared at Cassandra with dissatisfaction, but the latter didnât care at all. After a cold glance, she went upstairs.
Rebecca stamped her feet angrily and became more dissatisfied with Cassandra. She shouted at Cassandra, âDonât think that your relationship has changed after you lived in the Quinn manor for two days. Landy has told me that the reason you stayed there is because of his grandfather. Now that you have met his condition, quickly go through with the divorce. Donât drag Landy on
Cassandra paused, and her eyes narrowed.
However, she ignored Rebecca and walked straight back to the bedroom.
Cassandra felt disappointed. She didnât know how good Orlando was to Rebecca, but she did not expect that he would tell Rebecca why he was living in the Quinn manor. He told her that the matter of divorce was only between them, but at the same time, he was honest with Rebecca.

Cassandra mused, Orlando, you do have a double standardâ
Because Cassandra had to go through the paperwork early tomorrow morning, she put off her work for the time being. Michael didnât ask more but said to her, âIf you need me, just tell me. Cassie, we are friends, Donât treat me as an outsider. okay?â
His tone was almost imploring, making it impossible for Cassandra to say no,
Cassandrummed in a low voice and said, âTll go through the divorce procedures with him tomorrow.â
âTomorrow? Are you sure?â Michael asked.
Iâm sure. Grandpa Peter has agreed. Cassandra replied.
âAnd you? Can you let it go?â Michael asked in a low voice because he knew best about Cassandraâs feelings for Orlando. After so many years, it was finally going to end. But was she really willing to let go?
Cassandra just smiled and said lightly. âI donât have the final say. I donât want to be wronged anymore.â
She was answering Michaelâs question, but she was also saying it to herself. The determination in her eyes was clear and thorough.
One day passed by quickly, so quickly that it made Cassandra feel uneasy.
But in the blink of an eye, it was already evening. Orlando also came back from work.
The atmosphere of eating in the Quinn manor these days was particularly good, but now the dinner for three people made her feel very uncomfortable. After all, among the three of them, one of them was always superfluous.
Cassandra remained silent throughout.
But Rebecca said calmly, âLandy. Cassandra said that you will go through with the paperwork tomorrow. So should we also
move out?â
