Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma by Jean Oscar ( Cassandra Jackson ) Chapter 51
Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 51
âRebecca, youâre overthinking. You donât have to stay with me. Arenât you busy preparing for your comeback?â Orlandoâs. expression was indifferent.
âIs a comeback more important than you? Youâve become like this because of me. I must stay by your side to take care of you, replied Rebecca.
Rebecca only had her eyes on Orlando. Whenever she thought about how he got into an accident while looking for her, she was happy yet fearful. She was happy because he cared about her, but fearful if something really happened to him.
However, Orlando seemed unhappy somehow.
Rebecca asked sofily, âLandy, Cassandra hasnât come here. Is she angry? If so, I can apologize. Iâm afraid that if she doesnât come and this reaches your grandpa, he might blame you for embarrassing Cassandra because of me. I donât want you to get scolded. I can take the initiative to explain to Cassandra.â
âNo need. Grandpa wonât know about my injury. Iâm a bit tired now. You should go back too. Itâs inappropriate for you to stay in the hospital every dayâ Orlandoâs voice was low. His face displayed no distinct expression.
Before Rebecca could respond, the door of the ward was open. They instinctively turned to look toward the entrance only to see the silhouette of a man.
Lloyd was carrying fruits. He looked at the two in the ward with a profound implication in his gaze. âMr. Quinn, youâve got yourself injured just to save a damsel in distress. Itâll be such a remarkable story if the news gets out.â
âRebeccaâs also here. Itâs been a while. How have you been?â Lloyd greeted.
âLloyd, long time no see. Iâm doing well. Rebecca quickly stood up and greeted Lloyd. She looked toward Orlando, who was on the hospital bed. âLandy was injured because of me. Lloyd, donât tease him about it.â
Lloyd just smiled faintly without saying anything. He looked at Orlando as his gaze grew more intense.
Since Lloyd had arrived, Rebecca didnât stay longer and left the ward, giving the space to them. However, she didnât leave in a hurry but stood at the wardâs entranc
Lloydâs questioning voice sounded from inside. âOrlando, with you injured like this, why havenât I seen Cassandra coming to take care of you? Did you only inform Rebecca but not Cassandra? Or is Cassandra angry and refusing to take care of you after knowing that youâre injured because of Rebecca?
Frowning, Orlando stared at Lloyd indifferently with a hint of displeasure in his
eyes.
Lloyd naturally pretended he didnât see anything
He asked again, âOrlando, what are you thinking? Since divorce isnât an option for now, shouldnât you cut ties with Rebecca? Are you reluctant to let go of Rebecca but also unable to move on from Cassandra? One shouldnât be too greedy, right?â
âLloyd, if youâre free, I donât mind finding something for you to do,â Orlando replied.
Orlando wore a cold expression. His handsome and noble face revealed a strong sense of threat and warning.
âOrlando, I was just speaking the truth. Do you have to react like this?â said Lloyd
âAre you done? If yes, just leave,â said Orlando.
Lloyd grinned. âDo you want me to invite Cassandra here for you?â

Chapter 51
Do I need you to invite her for me?â Orlandoâs eyes were cold, and he seemed impatient.
Lloyd continued, âOf course, you donât need me to invite her. Iâm just being a busybody and wish to help you. You smell like disinfectant. I guess you havenât taken a shower? Donât you feel uncomfortable? Tsk, Iâm afraid your reputation will be ruined if this reaches the public. Iâll just take the trouble and invite Cassandra here.â
Orlando fell silent. It was unclear whether he agreed or refused.
Lloyd lowered his gaze and whispered, âOr you wish Rebecca could help you to wash up? If thatâs the case, just say it. Iâll help you, hmm?â
âGet lost.â Orlando gave Lloyd a cold glare.
Lloyd smiled and put down the fruit basket. His playful expression turned serious as he asked in a low voice, âOrlando, was this truly an accident?â
Only they could understand the meaning behind these words.
Orlando narrowed his eyes, his tone calm. âWhether it was an accident or not doesnât matter anymore. The rain was too heavy that night, and no traces could be found.â
Besides, some matters canât be made public at the moment, Orlando thought.
Since Orlando said that, Lloyd didnât continue the conversation. Just then, a voice came from outside. âMs. Spencer, why are you here?â
It was Taylorâs voice.
Although there was a wall between them, the sound could still be heard clearly. Orlando and Lloyd exchanged a glance.
Rebecca turned to look at Taylor who walking toward her. Her expression was slightly nonchalant as she replied softly, âI want to ask Landy if he wants something to eat. Iâll go prepare it.â
Taylor nodded without suspicion. He then knocked on the door and went in.
After Taylor entered the ward and greeted Lloyd, he said, âMr. Quinn, Ms. Spencer asked if youâd like something to eat?â
Rebecca stood behind Taylor as they entered. Subconsciously, she tried to catch Orlandoâs gaze. Not noticing anything unusual, she said, âLandy, please eat something. Iâll go back and have the chef at home make some oatmeal for you, okay?â
Orlandoâs expression remained indifferent. âOkayâ
Lloyd immediately said, âIâll send Rebecca back,
n a while since we last met. We can catch up while Iâm at it.â
Orlando remained silent, and Rebecca couldnât refuse. So, it had been decided this way.
After leaving the hospital, Lloyd drove Rebecca back to Dustmeadow Mansion.
Smiling, Rebecca said gently. âLloyd, thank you for sending me back.â
âDonât mention it. Weâre old friends. Lloyd grinned.
He then asked, âAre you currently staying at Dustmeadow Mansion?â
âYes, Landy thought it wasnât safe for me to stay alone, so he let me stay at Dustmeadow Mansion for now,â Rebecca answered in a low voice.
âOrlando treats you well,â said Lloyd.
Chapter 51
âYes, heâs always been good to me,â replied Rebecca.
Lloyd only glanced at her without saying anything. There was a faint trace of a smile in his deep eyes.
The two didnât catch up as mentioned. They simply exchanged a few words to avoid awkwardness. Soon, they arrived at Dustmeadow Mansion.â
Rebecca politely asked, âLloyd, do you want to come in for a cup of coffee?â
âSure, thank you then,â replied Lloyd.
Lloydâs immediate response caught Rebecca off guard. However, she warmly welcomed him into the house, offered him slippers, ushered him into the living room, and had a housekeeper bring coffee.
This scene made her seem like the lady of the house to Lloyd.
Graham personally came to take care of things, and he knew Lloyd. Lloyd took the initiative and asked Graham, âWhy havenât I seen Cassandra?â
âCassie went out. She probably went to the company Graham answered.
Lloyd added, âGraham, give Cassandra a call and ask her to come back. Itâs quite inappropriate for Rebecca and me to stay, especially when Cassandraâs the lady of the house.â
Graham nodded immediately. âOkay, Iâll make the call right away. Lloyd, please have a seat for a moment.â
Thank you, Graham,â Llyod replied.
Lloyd gave a slight smile and turned to look at Rebecca, whose face froze slightly. âRebecca, you donât mind, right?â
