Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma by Jean Oscar ( Cassandra Jackson ) Chapter 62
Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 62
âDonât you know to get someone to follow her if sheâs not here?â said Orlando.
âYes. Iâll do it later,â replied Taylor.
Knowing that Orlando wanted him to assign someone to follow Cassandra, Taylor handled it after sending Orlando back to
Dusmeadow Mansion.
At the same time, Cassandra took the elevator from her office to the parking lot to drive home when three men came out of nowhere and blocked her way just as she was about to arrive at her car.
Cassandra looked at them expressionlessly.
Similarly, the men stared back at Cassandra.
Among them, one with blonde hair said, âHey, beautiful. Wanna come play with us?â
Cassandra didnât say anything but looked at him with a frown.
âOh, so arrogant. Iâm talking to you. Canât you hear?â the man said.
Cassandra pressed her lips together and asked in a low voice, âWho are you? I donât know you.â
âWeâre your friends. We know each other now, donât we? Weâll let you go if you come and have a drink with us, replied the
man.
Iâve never crossed you. I can give you money if thatâs what you want. Can you let me go?â asked Cassandra.
Cassandra negotiated with the men gently. Naturally, she was afraid of such a situation. However, she couldnât show it, let alone confront them directly. She was prepared to give them money or the car as long as they didnât hurt her.
Yet, it was apparent the men didnât want anything. They were there for Cassandra and insisted they would only let her go after she had a drink with them.
The blondeâhaired man then said, âCut the crap. Hurry and come with us. Otherwise, donât blame us for being rude.â
After saying that, the man came up to grab Cassandraâs hand. She stepped back subconsciously and looked around to see if there was anyone she could ask for help.
The man also saw Cassandraâs plan and said, âBoss, is this bitch looking for help? Enough with the talk. Letâs just grab her and report back.â
Cassandra noticed something important from those words. The manâs purpose was only to take her and report back. Thus, someone must have sent them.
Cassandra thought she hadnât offended anyone or been in such a situation like that before. Thus, who couldâve sent them?
Pursing her lips, Cassandra subconsciously protected her abdomen. Then, she turned around and ran when the three were hesitant. However, how could a woman be a match against one man, let alone three!
Cassandra was caught as soon as she took a step. The blondeâhaired man pulled her hair and cursed, âYou bitch! Have we been too kind? Youâre trying to run?â
Cassandra struggled and begged, âPlease let me go. Iâll give you double of what youâre being paid.â
With her hair pulled, Cassandra felt her head numb with pain.

Then, one man said, âDude, this girl is so pretty. Why donât we-
âLetâs take her away first, the blondeâhaired man interrupted.
The three men dragged Cassandra and were ready to go to their van. All hope would be gone once they got in the vehicle..
Thus, Cassandra knew she must not get in. She kept struggling and inadvertently slapped one of the men in the face. Next, she felt a slap on her cheek.
Slap!
âBitch, how dare you hit me?â said the man.
Cassandra felt her vision went blurry, and her head was buzzing-
Yet, Cassandra couldnât care about the pain. She broke free from the manâs hand with all her might and quickly ran toward the parking lot exit.
âStop!â shouted the three men as they pursued Cassandra.
Cassandra rushed out without bothering to check the road. At that moment, she slipped and fell to the ground.
Cassandra got up from the ground regardless of the pain. The men behind her were getting closer and closer. At that moment, she felt desperate.
Just when Cassandra thought she couldnât escape, the voice of a security guard in the empty parking lot sounded, âWhat are
you all doing?â
âHelp me! Someone is chasing me, shouted Cassandra.
Seeing that, the three men stopped and looked at each other. Then, they turned around and ran back to their van.
Cassandra was relieved. It was then that she felt something rushing out of her belly. Her head was getting heavier and. heavier, and she slumped to the ground.
âAre you okay, Miss?â asked the security guard.
That was the last thing Cassandra heard before she lost consciousness.
Later, Cassandra woke up in the hospital.
Cassandra opened her eyes and sat up subconsciously, but Nellie immediately pressed her shoulders and said, âDonât move. You have to rest now.â
âMy baby? Howâs the baby?â asked Cassandra.
âYouâve suffered too much. Thereâs threatened miscarriage. Youâll have to stay overnight in the hospital for observation,â replied Nellie.
âThe babyâs still here, thought Cassandra.
With that, Cassandra finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Cassandra also seemed better as she told Nellie, âPlease help me keep this baby.â
Nellie nodded and asked, âWhat happened?â
Cassandra explained briefly and learned that the security guard brought her to the hospital.

It was almost ten oâclock then, but Cassandraâs phone couldnât be turned on because it fell to the ground and broke when she struggled earlier. Thus, she took Nellieâs phone to call Dustmeadow Mansion.
Graham answered the call.
âCassie, why arenât you back yet?â asked Graham.
Cassandra replied, âGraham, Iâm not going home tonight. Tell Orlando for me.â
âYouâre not coming back?â Orlandoâs deep voice slowly sounded and continued, âCassandra, youâre a married woman. Are you spending the night with Michael?â
Cassandra pursed her lips and didnât tell Orlando about the hospitalization. Instead, she said, âIâm accompanying Grandpa Peter at the Quinn manor.
Orlando didnât say anything to that. Cassandra then hung up the phone and hurriedly called Peter at the Quinn manor to inform him. Naturally, Peter was willing to cooperate. However, she did not tell the truth to not worry Peter.
Orlando did not believe that Cassandra was at the Quinn manor with Peter. He felt she was only saying that because she didnât want to go back.
Orlando wondered if it was because Cassandra was angry with Rebeccaâs trending topic that day.
Orlando also wondered if Cassandra was jealous.
That night, Cassandra thought a lot in the hospital.
Cassandra thought the person who would do such a thing to her must be someone she knew. After all, the men came straight for her. Thus, the culprit must know Cassandra to a certain degree.
âSo who could it be?â wondered Cassandra.
A figure flashed through Cassandraâs mind. She couldnât think of anyone else except that one.
The next morning. Nellie bought Cassandra a new phone and prepared breakfast for her.
After that, the doctor came to examine Cassandra again. There was no more bleeding, but she was still weak. Thus, she needed rest after going home and couldnât be too emotional,
As Nellie went to handle the discharge, Cassandra made a phone call and said, âHelp me look up someone.â
Cassandra then gave a name.
âI want to know all the calls and contacts she made in the past two days. Be quick,â Cassandra added.
â
âOkay, Iâll look into it right away. But Cassie, why havenât I heard from you for so long? When will you be back?â asked the person on the phone.
âGuess!â Cassandra responded lightly with a cold face. Calmly, she continued, âI will check whether youâve been slacking recently when I return. You know the consequences.â
The person on the phone was rendered speechless and didnât dare to say another word.
In less than five minutes, there was a reply.
Hearing the orderly reply, Cassandraâs face was cold and gloomy.

Chapter 02
The moment she hung up the phone, Cassandra clenched the phone with an icy gaze.
Half an hour later, Nellie brought Cassandra out of the hospital. She wanted to take Cassandra to Dustmeadow Mansion, but the latter said. âI want to go to Rebeccaâs studio.â
Rebecca had started a stúdio before her comeback, and she had been staying in the studio lately to prepare new songs.
When Cassandra arrived, Rebecca was just about to go out to meet the investors. Rebeccaâs face froze slightly when the two met at the door. However, Rebecca quickly returned to her senses and asked, âCassandra, why are you here?â
