Ex-Husband’s Love Dilemma
Chapter 73
Where do you want to eat?â Orlando asked while staring at Cassandra.
Cassandra replied in puzzlement, âArenât we going home?â
Perhaps the words âgoing homeâ pleased Orlando as his handsome face turned gentle, and his blue eyes were full He asked. âDidnât I say we would cat out?â
Cassandra was still feeling astonished, and Orlando had already stepped on the gas.
Orlando asked again. âWhat do you want to cat?â
After some thought, Cassandra replied, âSilver Tide Restaurant.â
of a smile.
The dishes in Silver Tide Restaurant were mostly steak and tasted milder. Orlando didnât like strongâflavored food, and with Cassandraâs sensitivity to that kind of food, the restaurant was suitable for them.
They had been married for a year, but this was the first time theyâd caten out together.
In the past year, Cassandra had been thinking of having a meal with Orlando alone but didnât want to ask him for fear that she would get rejected, even feeling afraid that Orlando would get upset by her clinginess.
Both of them kept quiet during the meal. When they were at home, Orlando would eat quietly most of the time, so it had become a habit for him.
Just as Cassandra was thinking about the reason for Orlando to take her out for dinner tonight, Orlando said hoarsely, âWhy
the silence
Cassandra raised her head and met Orlandoâs blue eyes. She replied softly, âI thought you like to stay quiet when eating?â
âWho told you that?â asked Orlando.
âThatâs how we eat at home,â Cassandra explained.
Orlando smiled as he suddenly leaned forward and approached Cassandra, whispering, âCassandra, you care that much about me?â
Cassandra twitched her eyes and quickly looked away. She said. âOrlando, weâre a couple and have been together for a year. Is it that difficult to know you?â
In fact, she wanted to ask whether he had ever paid attention to her.
Yet, she knew the answer would be disappointing, so she decided not to ask.
Orlando didnât answer the question and replied faintly instead, âYouâre easily distracted. Cassandra, did something happen recently?â
Cassandra was stunned and didnât expect him to notice her unusual behavior.
She said, âNothing. Perhaps there might be a lot going on.â
Orlando didnât seem to believe it. He fixed his gaze on Cassandra with a frown and asked, âHas your relationship with the Jackson family always been like that?â,
Cassandra wondered if Orlando was talking about her distantness with the Jackson family.

Chapter 731
Cassandra pursed her lips and didnât avoid Orlandoâs gaze or question as she answered, âYou talking about our distantness?â She smiled casually. âProbably, After all, niy grandfather is the only one closest to me.
Although Cassandra didnât grow up with the Jackson family, Damian treated her very well. He often visited Cassandra at Violetâs house and brought various new stuff every time.
Cassandra smiled when recalling the good old days,
Orlando looked at her with indescribable emotions.
They shared the same bed for a year, but only at this moment that he realized he had never really understood Cassandra.
He had no idea what kind of person Cassandra was,
After dinner, they returned to Dustmeadow Mansion. Orlando went to the study to settle his work while Cassandra returned to the bedroom.
Cassandra wanted to give Peter a birthday gift.
Peter liked to collect paintings, so Cassandra wanted to gift him one.
After looking for a gift, she checked her phone again and found that Michael hadnât contacted her yet.
Cassandra called
Michael again before Orlando could return to the bedroom.
The call was cut off soon with a message sent as a reply instead, [Yes, Cassie? I canât answer your call right now.]
Cassandra asked. [Why couldnât I get in touch with you the whole day? Everything okay?]
[Everythingâs okay. Donât worry about me,] replied Michael.
Cassandra wanted to ask more, but after noticing Orlando entering the room, she stopped texting Michael.
Perhaps due to the dinner tonight, their relationship seemed to have eased slightly.
In the next few days, they went to the Quinn manor almost every day to help with the birthday banquet preparation. Their devotion and effort made Peter feel very grateful.
âItâll be better in a few months, he muttered to himself.
Everyone was stunned by Peterâs words. Gabriela asked, âDad, what do you mean by that?â
Cassandra froze.
Peter simply replied, Tll be in a better mood after my birthday.â
âPeter, Jook at you. Are you not happy now?â Gabriela asked.
âI am. Iâm glad to see you all well,â said Peter.
Noticing the strong implication in the words, Frederick and Gabriela subconsciously look at Cassandra and Orlando,
Just then, Peter suddenly asked, âOrlando, Cassie, have you decided about your divorce?â
The mentioned two looked at each other and fell into silence.
Peter added, âIf you decide not to divorce, Iâm going to make it public in my birthday banquet that Cassie is our family member.

Chapter 78
Cassandra pursed her lips and replied. âGrandpa Peter, I donât want to disclose my identity.â
She thought the title of Orlandoâs exâwife would be stuck with her forever if Orlando wanted a divorce.
She didnât want that.
She didnât want to let more people know about her and was even more reluctant to take advantage of the marriage.
However, Cassandraâs refusal was interpreted differently in Orlandoâs mind. Orlando asked with a frown, âWhy? Why donât you want to make it public?â
Cassandra asked, âOrlando, thereâs no benefit for us to make our marriage public if you want to divorce me. Even if we donât get divorced for the time being, thereâs no point in making it public, right? You donât love me at all, and publicity is not good for you. Isnât it good to stay like this?â
www.
Orlando sneered.
He asked, âCassandra, you think itâs for my good, or are you planning a way out for yourself at any time?â
He rolled his Adamâs apple and pursed his lips into a straight line. His handsome outline displayed his deep and undisguised displeasure.
Before Cassandra could say anything. Orlando gave her a deep stare and went upstairs.
The atmosphere became quiet.
Cassandra pursed her lips and kept silent. Gabriela quickly lightened the mood and said, âCassie, come with me. Letâs check if Grandpaâs birthday cake I prepared is suitable.â
Cassandra smiled faintly and left with Gabriela, holding their hands.
Due to the argument, not only had Orlando turned upset, but he also unilaterally chose to give Cassandra the silent
treatment.
Their tense relationship lasted until the birthday banquet.
The banquet was held in the independent banquet hall of the Quinn Manor. The Quinn family had a high status in: Broburgh, and with Peterâs wellâknown reputation in the business world, various prominent figures attended the banquet.
The Quinn manor was filled with joy. Every decoration displayed the nobleness of the host family. Peterâs favorite classical music was played on the stage, which was all performed by the top musicians in the industry as a congratulatory.
The birthday banquet today was for everyone to feast and chat, making Peter happy. The banquet lasted from morning to evening, and there was even a ball for the young people later at night. Before the ball, close family members would send gifts to Peter.
