A New Chapter
Mrs. & Mrs. Elahi ( INTERSEX GxG )
One Week Later
Linaâs POV
The last week felt like a whirlwind. After the family confrontation, Zara and I had finally found some space to breathe. The tension that had once weighed heavy on us had lifted, but in its place was a new kind of energyâexcitement, nerves, and the undeniable pull between us.
Today marked one week since everything changed, and I was determined to make it special. Zara had been so patient and caring, constantly checking in on me, making sure I was okay after the familyâs overwhelming reactions. Now it was my turn to do something for her.
I decided to surprise her with a quiet dinner at home. Iâd spent the afternoon attempting to cook, though it quickly turned into a comical disaster. By the time Zara walked in, I was standing in the kitchen surrounded by flour, spilled sauce, and a half-burned attempt at lasagna.
She froze in the doorway, her eyebrows shooting up. âWhat⦠happened here?â
âI was trying to cook,â I admitted sheepishly, holding up a wooden spoon like a white flag of surrender.
Zara laughed, the sound warm and rich, as she set down her bag and walked over to me. âYouâre adorable,â she said, brushing a bit of flour off my cheek.
âAdorable and terrible at cooking,â I muttered.
Her eyes softened as she leaned in to kiss my forehead. âItâs the thought that counts. And for the record, I think itâs sweet that you tried.â

Zaraâs POV
Seeing Lina standing in the middle of the kitchen chaos with a pout on her lips made my heart melt. She always found ways to surprise me, and this attempt to cook dinnerâdespite the hilarious resultsâwas another reminder of how lucky I was.
âLetâs clean this up together,â I said, grabbing a towel. âAnd then we can order takeout. Deal?â
âDeal,â she said, her smile returning as she grabbed a sponge.
As we worked side by side, scrubbing counters and rinsing dishes, Lina started humming a tune under her breath. It wasnât long before she broke into a full-blown song, using a wooden spoon as a microphone.
I couldnât stop laughing as she danced around the kitchen, completely unbothered by the mess or her earlier failure. She had this incredible way of turning even the simplest moments into something magical.
When she finally plopped down on the couch beside me, her cheeks were flushed, and she was out of breath from laughing. âYouâre going to hold this over my head forever, arenât you?â she asked.
âForever,â I teased, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
She rested her head against me, her fingers idly tracing patterns on my arm. âYou make me so happy, Zara,â she said softly.
âAnd you make me feel alive,â I replied, pressing a kiss to her temple.

Linaâs POV
Later that night, after the kitchen was clean and the takeout boxes were empty, Zara and I sat on the balcony, watching the city lights twinkle in the distance.
I reached for her hand, intertwining our fingers. âDo you ever think about the future?â I asked.
âAll the time,â she said, her thumb brushing over my knuckles. âI think about what itâll be like to wake up next to you every morning, to build a life with you.â
Her words made my heart skip a beat. âYouâre really all in, arenât you?â
âCompletely,â she said, turning to look at me. âBut only if you are too.â
I smiled, leaning in to press a kiss to her cheek. âIâm all in, Zara. No doubts, no second-guessing. Just us.â
She cupped my face, her gaze searching mine. âThen letâs keep building this, one day at a time. No matter what comes our way, weâll face it together.â
As I kissed her under the stars, I felt a surge of confidence that no matter what challenges lay ahead, Zara and I were strong enough to face them together.
