Truth About The Abduction
Sold To The Untouchable Alpha
[Arissa's POV]
I examined myself in the mirror, making sure I looked perfect. As far as Elders and Carina knew, I
was still gone. Ivan had made sure of that. If word got to them, thus wouldn't work.
Smiling, I gave my reflection a wink before turning and skipping out ot the room. Humming to
myself, I continued to make my way to the dining hall where dinner was well underway.
When I arrived, I could hear the sound of silverware clinking against plates and bouts of
conversation.
Looking down, I fixed my dress once more and then flipped my hair. I listened intently, until finally I
heard it...
"I'd like to welcome my future luna.â Ivan announced, giving me my cue.
It was time to make my entrance and I would make sure it was one to remember.
Plastering a smile on my face, I pushed at the doors separating me and watched as the inside of the
room came into view.
All eyes were fixed towards me and I felt a wave of victory. After so many years of being treated
unfairly and even of being involved in a scheme for power, I was finally getting redemption.
Sauntering forward, I looked to each face, only stopping to blow a kiss at Carina and then fixing my
gaze on Elder Theodore's.
Putting a look of innocence in place I began my act.
"Grandpa!" I beamed, inwardly grimacing at the fake warmth I applied. "Why do you look as though
you've seen a ghost?"
Closing the distance between the door and the table, I took my seat beside Ivan, who immediately
placed his hand on my thigh and gave me a reassuring smile
"Why is she here?" Elder Theodore asked, clearly trying hard to remain calm. "After all that she
has..."
"Ivan, what is the meaning of this?" Elder Gregory chimed in, shooting me a glare. "How can you
possibly say she is your future luna after she attacked an elder?â
"Ivy," I pouted, turning my wide-eyed gaze to him. "Do you hear what he said about me?" I had to
bite back my annoyance as Ivan's expression turned to one of amusement. Was he really going to
try to ruin my act? "Ivy," I continued, clutching his arm. "Why would they say that after everything I
went through?â
It truly pained me to play pathetic, but I wanted to irritate Carina and Elder Theodore as much as
possible.
"I'll handle this.â Ivan assured, squeezing my thigh. "Elder Theodore," he began, turning his gaze to
the still baffled Elder. "You said Arissa attacked you a few days ago and then escaped correct?â
"I..." Elder Theodore stammered with wide eyes. "She didn't."
I held back my laughter as a collective gasp escaped all that weren't already privy to his deceit.
"Sorry?" I gasped, widening my eyes. "What did you just say?"
"Could you repeat that for all who didn't hear?" Ivan added, giving a broad smile of triumph.
Instead of responding, Elder Theodore lifted his hands to his mouth and shot Carina a look.
"Why are you looking at her, grandpa?" I asked innocently. "Does she know the truth of that night
too?"
I was enjoying this too much. The looks of complete shock on the other two elders faces were
priceless.
"II..." Carina stammered, looking from Elder Theodore to Ivan. "Ivan, it was for your own good!"
"My own good?" Ivan repeated, cocking his head to the side. "What ever do you mean?"
"She will ruin your reputation or worse, make you the enemy of all wolves!" Carina hissed, before
covering her mouth.
"So you're saying you helped try to get rid of her?" Ivan asked, leaning forward in his seat. "You also
helped lie about what happened.â
"H-how...." Carina stammered. "IT WAS ALL THAT MAN'S IDEA!" She continued, pointing to Elder
Theodore. "He promised he would help me get back into your favor if I helped. But I swear he didn't
tell me where she was going!"
"How dare you!" Elder Theodore growled. "Ivan!" I watched as his dark eyes traveled to Ivan, who
was looking both amused and enraged. "You drugged us!"
"Yeah, I did that.â Ivan confirmed easily. "Do you like my little present, Elder Theodore?"
"I'm an elder!" Elder Theodore growled as his aura began to trickle. "How dare you treat me like
this!"
"Let's see.â Ivan murmured, holding up his hand. "You conspired with the enemy.â He began, lifting
a finger. "You caused the death of one of your own." He continued. "You set up and tried to get rid
of my mate.â
"Mate?" Elder Thedore gasped, his eyes growing so wide they looked as though they would fall out
of their sockets. "W-what?'
I could no longer hold back my joy as Elder Theodore's eyes found the marl I had left on Ivan. His
expression was damn near comical
âSurprise.â I purred, standing and wrapping my arms around Ivan's neck. "You're finally getting what
you deserve for everything you've ever done, grandpa.â
Images of him helping torture me in the concentration camp and jail flashed across my eyes. Each
and every time he helped Isaac and Gillian lie about me, causing all wolves, the elders included to
hate me and call me an abomination.
Finally, he was going to suffer just like me and I would sweet talk Ivan into letting me be the one to
deliver that suffering.
Ah, revenge truly was sweet.
I kept my gaze fixed on Elder Theodore, until lvan's hand touched my arm. Realizing that I had
grown tensed, I began to relax while his comforting warmth surged through me.
"Igor, Hans," Ivan barked. "Please escort Elder Theodore and Carina to the dungeon.â
"Ivan you can't possibly!" Elder Thedore began, but stopped as a growl escaped Ivanâs lips.
"I can and I will." He snapped, baring his teeth in challenge at the Elder. "You have helped imprison
and torture an innocent woman for months. What's worse, you helped hide the person that she was
accused of killing!"
"What are you talking about?" Elder Gregory asked, seeming to find his voice. "Repeat that Isaac.â
"I said," Ivan began, keeping his glare fixed on Elder Theodore. "Gillian Gregory, the son of Isaac
Gregory and my nephew is still alive and well. He is doing so well, he has been aiding hunters in
killing off any possible threats to the throne for him."
