Chapter 11
Triplet Mommy’s Triumphant Return
Chapter 11
Hearing Melanieâs word, steve hurriedly explained, âMela, your mother has been dead for more than ten years. Itâs time to put it down.
âDidnât you and Tracy get along well all these years?
âDid your grandfather say something to you?
âI can guarantee that Tracy and Vanessa will never do anything to hurt you.â
Melanie laughed coldly.
She was so ang77 +
she almost didnât know how to retort.
*Can you guarantee? What about me? What am I to you? What was my mother to you when you told me to put her down?â Melanie questioned.
âOf course you are my daughter, too!â said Steve.
âEnough!â Melanie shouted.
She couldnât keep calm any longer.
âSeven years ago, you broke off your relationship with me. Today, I donât want anymore!
you
to be
my
father
âTracy, Vanessa, I wonât let you go.
âYou better have nothing to do with my motherâs death, or I will make you pay!â
âMelanie, youâre crazy!â Tracy screamed.
The noise in the living room had already alarmed the servants, who were looking into the living
room now.
It was now dark.
The street lamps were just lighting up.
It was like that night seven years ago.
However, Melanie could only see darkness and hear the sound of cars roaring in her ears.
As Melanie walked on, the anger in her heart gradually dissipated, transforming into a dense fog of sorrow that permeated deep into her being.
The longâforgotten childhood memories surged up her heart as if they possessed a life of their own. Vivid scenes from her past flashed through her mind.
In Melanieâs recollection, Sherry was characterized by her habit of observing birds as she strolled and listening to the whispers of the wind before drifting off to sleep. She adored all living creatures and never deliberately harmed a flower or ant.

But at this moment, what Melanie remembered was the anomaly of her mother sobbing secretly behind her back.
Sherry used to teach Melanie how to draw. Sometimes, Sherry would suddenly ask, âHave remembered Grandpaâs address and phone number? Say it to Mommy again.

When Melanie finished telling the address and number correctly, Sherry would kiss Melanie on the cheek and praise her.
Then came Melanieâs eighth birthday, an unforgettable one.
Shortly after that day, Sherry was sick, and then she became ashes in a wooden box.
On the
same day. Tracy moved in with Vanessa.
After that, Steve spoiled Vanessa, but Tracy defended Melanie all the time.
Melanie was grateful that she had another wonderful mother..
For the whole ten years, Melanie had recognized her enemy as her mother!
Thinking of this, Melanie slapped herself hard.
She didnât believe it.
She didnât believe that Tracy was as innocent as she said.
Melanie must find out who killed Sherry and the truth about Sherryâs sudden death.
Melanie must expose Steveâs true face and see what he had done,
Melanie staggered along.
The vehicles around her roared by with shrill whistles.
Melanieâs heart was filled with pain and regret.
Suddenly, she stumbled, twisting her ankle and colliding with what felt like a solid wall.
Then Melanie had a blackout.
When Melanie woke up again, she smelled the disinfectant unique to the hospital and saw a white ward.
Melanie thought, âI must have fajnted and been sent to the hospital by some kindâhearted person.
Melanie looked sideways and saw her handbag on the table beside her. She took her phone out and found hundreds of missed calls and messages.
She ignored the unknown calls and called Angie.
Before Melanie could speak, Angie said first, âMelanie, you were not in the Robertson residence. Where have you been? Gary was going to call the police.â

âIâm fine. Letâs talk about the rest later,â said Melanie.
Then Melanie asked, âWhere are the babies?â
They are all here, screaming to go find you,â Angie said.
âIâll be right back. Keep an eye on them,â said Melanie.
As Melanie said that, she pulled off the needle in her vein and left.
As soon as Melanie left, Roderick entered the ward.
Seeing the empty bed, Roderick asked coldly, âWhere is she?â
A nurse came and panicked when she saw the empty ward. âShe was there just now. I was just absent for a moment, the nurse explained.
Seeing this, Richard got furious.
âMr. Lambert told you to take good care of her. Where is the person you are taking care of?â Richard asked.
âFire her,â Roderick said coldly and left quickly.
As soon as Roderick left the ward, another man in a white coat came to him.
âWhere are you going, Roderick? Didnât you ask me to check someoneâs eyes?â Michael asked.
Roderick glanced at Michael coldly and walked out without saying a word.
âWhatâs wrong with you? I have an operation over there. You called me here anxiously. Why are you leaving so soon?
âWhatâs wrong with the silence?â
Michael stamped his feet in anger and saw the nurse sobbing in the ward.
âDr. Gibson, please tell Mr. Lambert not to fire me.â
âYou said you didnât take good care of Mr. Lambertâs girlfriend?â Michael asked.
He looked confused.
âYeah,â the nurse replied.
âWhat girl? Whatâs her name?â Michael asked.
âI donât know. She was sent by Mr. Lambert last night. I heard that she couldnât see anything,â the nurse said.
Michael was shocked when he heard this.
His gaping mouth was wide open in utter shock.
Chapter 11
Roderickâs girlfriend couldnât see! She had intermittent blindness!
âRoderick, I thought you said you were allergic to women. Now someone can finally cure you!â Michael seemed to be gloating.
Michael no longer cared about his surgery and hummed a song proudly.
Then he took out his phone and soon spread the news that Roderick had a woman.
Within a minute, Roderickâs phone rang repeatedly.
Roderick ignored the calls and went straight to Rising Star.
âMr. Lambert, sheâs not there. I donât have her phone number or address,â Richard said.
He had checked the company but didnât find Melanie.
Seeing this, Bill said hurriedly, âMr. Lambert, Ms. Robertson is not an ordinary woman. Iâm afraid our abrupt approach might lead to undesired results.â
âWhat?â Roderick frowned and said, âGo ahead.â
âAs far as I know, Ms. Robertson doesnât know you at all.
âYou are a stranger to her.
âIf you really like her, you should find an opportunity to get to know her first and then get closer to her step by step,â Bill said.
âDo I like her?â Roderick frowned and asked.
Hearing this, Bill smiled consciously.
âI was wrong. You donât like her, but you just want to find out why you are not allergic to her, Bill explained.
Richard was winking at Bill.
âHow can Mr. Lambert like anyone casually? When Mr. Lambert finds the antidote to his allergy, it will be easy for him to get any woman!â Richard echoed.
âShut up,â Roderick scolded coldly.
Richard immediately stopped talking and looked at Bill.
The two of them secretly exchanged their looks, and only
knew what they meant.
If Roderick didnât like Melanie, why did he look for her for seven years?
Suddenly, Roderickâs phone rang again.
Roderick glanced at it and picked it up reluctantly.

âHello, Grandpaâ¦â Roderick said.
Geoffrey Lambert, Roderickâs grandfather, said, âRoddy, I heard from Michael that you took a girl to the hospital last night. What was going on?â
âNothing serious,â Roderick replied.
âWhat do you mean by nothing?â Geoffrey asked.
Over the phone, Geoffrey got excited.
âI heard from Michael that the girl couldnât see. What happened?â Geoffrey asked anxiously.
Roderick remained silent.
âWhatâs wrong with you?
âIt doesnât matter even if the girl canât see.
âWe can find a way to cure her.
âBring her back and let me see what kind of girl she is. Okay?â Geoffrey said.
Hearing this, Roderick hung up the phone silently.
However, his phone kept ringing.
Roderick pinched his glabella helplessly.
âPlease inform Zack that the Vision Museum will be placing a high bid on a piece of artwork at the upcoming spring auction.â
âOkay, Iâll do it right away.â
