Chapter 12
Triplet Mommy’s Triumphant Return
Chapter 12
Melanie went back to the Harbour Villa.
From a distance, Melanie saw Angie and the three kids watching her at the door.
Melanie and the three kids hadnât seen each other for almost a month since she came back to Zerivia, so she missed them very much.
âMommy!â
As soon as the kids saw Melanie, Ethan and Elias immediately shouted and rushed to hug her. Elias held Melanieâs neck and wouldnât let go. There were still tears hanging on his eyelashes.
âDo you miss Mommy?â Melanie asked.
Melanie held Elias in her arms, kissed Ethan on the cheek, and then looked at Edward who kept quiet.
âWe miss you, Mommy. Do you miss us, too?â Elias said happily.
âYes, I do,â Melanie said.
Melanie kissed Elias again and again and coaxed him.
As soon as Melanie put Elias on the sofa, she saw Ethan holding a glass jar with a butterfly in it.
âEthan, show me what youâre holding, Melanie said.
âMommy, Iâm waiting for the butterfly,â said Ethan.
âWhat? Are you waiting for the butterfly?â Melanie was curious.
âI locked up the butterfly. I am waiting for its mother, father, and brother to save it so that I can have many butterflies, Ethan explained.
Hearing this, Melanie suddenly felt that as a mother, she didnât know how to respond to Ethan at this moment.
The three boys were different in personality, but they looked alike.
However, they didnât seem to take after her.
Despite their tender age, their remarkable good looks outshone even those of child stars
Edward was introverted and serene, while Ethan was smart and had an outstanding memory.
Elias liked to adorable.
play computer and have candies. As endearing as a little doll, he was the most
Melanie really didnât spend much effort taking care of the babies these years.
Chapter 12
There were so many people on the island, and everyone liked the triplets. In the blink of an eye. they were all six years old.
Looking at Melanie in a daze, Ethan came forward and hugged her, asking. âMommy, arenât you. happy?â
Melanie torched his pretty face.
âI am happy. I just think the butterfly will be unhappy if it canât see its mommy,â Melanie said.
Elias, who was eating candy seriously, suddenly said, âDaddy Butterfly will be unhappy too!â
âMaybe.â
Melanie was speechless when she heard her sonâs serious words.
She came back in a hurry not to talk about butterflies.
âMommy. I also want our daddy.â Elias finished eating the candy and clapped his hands.
âWe can look for him when you grow up. Now go brush your teeth,â Melanie said.
Melanie frowned and handed Elias to Angie.
âI want him now!â Elias shouted.
He wriggled in Angieâs arms unhappily.
Melanie waved at Edward and beckoned him over.
âDidnât I tell you to wait for your GreatâGrandpa to end his cultivation? Why did you follow me here? There is no suitable tutor here to teach you,â Melanie said.
âMommy, GreatâGrandpa ended his cultivation as soon as you left,â Edward answered honestly.
It was Melanieâs turn to be surprised.
It would take at least a month for Zander to end his cultivation. Why did he end it as soon as Melanie left?
âForget it. Iâll let Luke take you home after a few days of play,â said Melanie.
âOkay, Mommy.â Edward lowered his head in disappointment.
Seeing that Edward was unhappy, Melanic hugged him and kissed his cheek.
âI donât have the energy to care about you here. When things are all settled, I will go back to accompany you every day,â Melanie explained.
âHoney, I love you. You are the most sensible boy. Please help Mommy take good care of your brothers,â Melanie said softly.
âOkay,â Edward replied.,

Melanic felt much relieved when Edward agreed to her request.
Of these three kids, Edward was the most sensible and reliable one.
At such a young age, Edward was precocious.
If it werenât for his pretty little face, people would have mistaken him for a CEO.
After the three children calmed down, Angie inquired about the events of the previous evening.
Knowing that Melanie had fallen out with Steve, Angie got outraged.
âThatâs good. You should have fallen out with him long ago. Your father has gone too far,â said Angie.
Melanie declared, âIâve ended my relationship with him, and he will no longer be my father.â
âI hope you really could, Angie said and sighed.
âAnyway, it doesnât make much difference whether he is your father or not, Angie added.
âHe didnât want me first,â Melanie said.
Melanie held her forehead and played with the necklace that had been torn off Vanessaâs neck.
Suddenly, Melanie found something wrong with the necklace.
âItâs strange. The gloss of the connector seems weird,â Melanie murmured.
Did Vanessa break the chain and replace it?
Then Melanie took a magnifying glass to observe the necklace connector.
She found a few small words carved on the necklace.
âThousand Snow Mountains!â Angic and Melanie read the words out loud.
Both of them were a little surprised.
Angie took out her computer and entered âThousand Snow Mountainsâ into the search engine.
âGot it!â After a while, Angie shouted.
âBut there is a different word. I only got Thousand Snowy Mountains,â Angie added.
Melanie leaned closer to see the result.
Why would there be such a slight difference?
It didnât seem to be a wrong name engraved into the necklace.
Melanie took a closer look at the materials of Thousand Snowy Mountains and found the introduction was very simple even without a picture.

Chapter 12
According to the introduction, Thousand Snowy Mountains first appeared in a dynasty more than three thousand years ago.
The legend had that someone named Wael painted it, but hundreds of years ago the painting was destroyed in a fire.
It was strange that the name of something destroyed hundreds of years ago appeared on a modern necklace.
âMelanie, do you think Aunt Sherry has engraved the words on the necklace?â Angie said curiously.
âItâs possible. Mom was good at painting and carving. It was not difficult for her to do that,â Melanie
said.
But what exactly did the difference mean?
If it was Sherry who engraved the words, why would she engrave a wrong word?
If Sherry made the mistake on purpose, what did her action have to do with the longâgone painting?
Melanie frowned and pondered. The more she thought about it, the more confused she felt.
Angie didnât take it seriously. She put the necklace around Melanieâs neck and massaged Melanieâs shoulders, saying, âMelanie, you may be thinking too much. Itâs just a painting that no one has ever seen before. Maybe it has nothing to do with Aunt Sherry.â
Thatâs the only way to think about it,â Melanie said and nodded.
âBy the way, is there any news from Eric?â Melanie asked.
Angie patted her forehead.
âOh, I almost forgot. Eric called last night and said that he got the news about the red pearls!â Angie said excitedly.
âTell me, who is it?â Melanie asked.
âHe didnât know who bought it, but it was bought by someone from Zerivia at a high price,â Angie replied.
Melanic glanced at Angie.
âThatâs it?â Melanie said with disappointment.
âWell, at least it points us in a direction. Maybe the buyer has something to do with those who killed those gangsters, Angie said.
As she spoke, she picked up a bunch of grapes and ate them.
Hearing Angieâs words, Melanie said thoughtfully, âDo you mean Vanessa asked someone to set me. up and then let another group of people kill those gangsters and take away that string of red pearls?â

âThatâs right, Melanie. You said those people were from Solustria. Vanessa or her mother might have hired someone to kill them so that they wouldnât be exposed afterward. So the killers might come from Zerivia. It makes sense,â Angie said.
âBut Vanessa and Tracy couldnât do that with their abilities. They couldnât afford the string of red pearls,â Melanie said.
âWhat if Steve was also involved?â Angie asked.
Angie seemed to believe that Steve must have something to do with the whole thing.
Melanie was stunned.
âIt shouldnât be possible. I am his daughter. How could he do that to me?â Melanie said in disbelief.
Seeing Melanieâs pale face, Angie quickly changed the topic.
âThatâs right. Maybe Vanessa and Tracy asked someone else for help,â said Angie.
âMaybe it was the Smith family. Tracy and Vanessa set me up because of my engagement to Ryan back then. Maybe there was something in between,â Melanie pondered and said.
âIt is very likely. The Smith family could do it. According to the information, Owen Smith especially likes collecting such things,â Angie said.
As Angie spoke, she looked through the information.
âThere is indeed a rumor. It seems that we need to meet Owen later,â said Melanie..
As soon as Melanie finished speaking, Angie smiled and handed over the phone.
âJeff said your father came to Rising Star early this morning and said he wouldnât leave until he saw you,â Angie said.
âAsk Jeff to send the work here. I wonât go to Rising Star today,â Melanie said.
Then Melanie began to check the information of the Smith family.
Soon Jeff arrived.
âMs. Robertson, there is news that Vision Museum will collect an item at a high price in the upcoming spring auction,â reported Jeff.
