Chapter 20
Triplet Mommy’s Triumphant Return
Chapter 20
âThe Lambert family is powerful and wealthy, and Roderick is so handsome. Itâs not bad for you to marry him!â
âAfter all these years you still donât know me well enough, Angie.â
Melanie smiled bitterly. âIf I just want to marry someone rich and powerful, I donât have to wait
until now.â
Angie thought about it.
âIndeed. I heard that Pete, the one who pursued you before, still has no girlfriend so far. But Roderick is really good!â
Melanie rolled her eyes at Angie.
âIf you think heâs good, marry him yourself.â
âNo. He doesnât suit me.â
Thinking of that cold face, Angie shivered.
âBut you two are really a good match. Think about it again, Melanie.â
Melanie shook her head.
âRoderick made me survive when I was in the most desperate period back then. It was just an absurd deal, and Iâve paid the price for it. Thatâs all.â
Seeing that Angie was about to say something more, Melanie waved her hand and said, âDonât talk about it anymore. Itâs impossible for us to be together.â
âAlright, alright. I wonât bring it up again.â
Seeing how serious Melanie was, Angie stopped talking.
But then Angie screamed surprisedly at once.
âWait, Melanie, you can see now?â
Melanie was also stunned for a second.
âHuh? I can see things now!
âI think I could already see when I was in the Lambert Manor. This time, I didnât sleep and the period was even shorter!â
Angie said happily, âMelanie, is there any treasure in the Lambert Manor that is good for your eyes?â
Melanie thought about it. It seemed that she could see things soon after she went to the Lambert Manor.
âItâs hard to say. The Lambert family is a centuryâold wealthy family. Itâs not strange for them to

have some treasures.â
Angieâs eyes lit up and she spun around happily.
âGreat! If you can take such a treasure with you, maybe your eyes will recover.â
âIt may not be because of the Lambert Manor, Melanie pondered and said. âMaybe my eyes are just recovering. Iâll ask Dr. Powell afterward.â
After sending the kids away, Melanie had been on edge.
She was worried that they might get rid of Roy and Sam and come back.
Melanie didnât feel at ease until her cousin Enzo Thomas called and said that he had picked up the kids safely.
But Enzo was also surprised to hear that the three little ones had found their father.
âWhat are you going to do about Elias?â
âIâll figure it out,â Melanie paused and said.
âHow about I let Darrin leave the island to help you?â
Enzo said firmly on the other end of the phone, âYou canât say no.â
âAlright, then. Thanks, Enzo.â
âGet everything done and come back as soon as possible, okay?â Then Enzo hung up the phone.
After the call, Melanie rubbed her eyebrows worriedly.
To be honest, it was not easy to send the three kids back to the island.
They had to take several connecting flights from Zerivia to Rhodania. Besides, the Lambert family wouldnât allow that.
Thinking of Geoffrey Lambert, Roderickâs grandfather, Melanie felt a little frightened.
It was said that Geoffrey used to be an international SWAT officer when he was young. He had dealt with many major cases and was famous for a time.
Then for some reason, Geoffrey suddenly disappeared from the scene. Some people even said that he was in bad health.
But now, although Geoffrey had white hair and a kind smile, his eyes were sharp.
He could at least live for dozens of years more.
Geoffrey looked kind, but Melanie was really scared of his vigor.
Think of Elias, Melanie couldnât help feeling sad.

But Melanie didnât know that Elias was having a great time at the Lambert Manor.
Bill gave Elias his security system to let him fix the flaws.
It was laborious, but Elias was obsessed with this kind of work. After a few operations, the safety index had already been improved by dozens of degrees.
Everyone was shocked.
âMelanie raised him well. We should keep up his education.â
Then Geoffrey immediately arranged for all the best teachers in different subjects in Beloris to come to the Lambert Manor to teach Elias.
Unexpectedly, Elias acted even more exaggeratedly. He was only six years old, but he finished learning all the textbooks from primary school to high school in a few days.
All the teachers were startled. Then they tried their best and set one test each.
Elias did an excellent job in all the subjects except for the language subject.
In this way, Elias got free.
Roderick would take Elias to meet Melanie under various excuses.
Or Geoffrey would take Elias to meet some strange people. But Elias hadnât met his mysterious grandfather.
