Chapter 42
Triplet Mommy’s Triumphant Return
Chapter 42
âEnzo, did you say that Ethan was missing?â Melanie said.
Hearing this, Angie frowned.
But soon she seemed to figure something out. She pursed her lips and smiled.
Luckily, Melanie couldnât see it. Otherwise, Angie would have been beaten up.
âNo, but yes.â
Enzo was incoherent in a panic on the phone.
Enzo said, âAs soon as the auction was over, Ethan disappeared. He even left me a note saying that he would go to Zerivia to find you.â
âWhat? Ethan came to Zerivia?â Melanie asked.
What Melanie was most afraid of was that Ethan came to Zerivia. Now Elias hadnât been sent back yet, and she didnât know what would happen if Ethan came.
Enzo was still explaining on the other end of the phone.
âI originally wanted to get Ethan back, but he dumped me.â
Melanie hurriedly called Stanley and felt relieved when she learned that Stanley was still by Edwardâs side.
Then she arranged for Roy and Sam to go to Solustria immediately. After finding Ethan, they would send him back to the island immediately.
Seeing Melanie panicked, Angie couldnât help frowning.
âMelanie, donât be so nervous. Ethan has been following Eric since childhood and is even more sly than Eric. He must have missed you so much that he came here.â
Melanie shouted and began to cry.
âAre you going to give Ethan to the Lambert family? They have already taken Elias away from me!?â
Seeing this, Angie pulled over and comforted her softly.

Chapter 42
âMelanie, Roderick is the father of the children. His blood relationship with them canât be broken in any way.â
Angie added, âMelanie, itâs time to move on.
âNow the Robertson family has been punished. If you are not satisfied, let them all die.
âBut, donât refuse those who treat you well, okay?â
Melanie burst into tears.
Actually, she was not happy these days.
Seeing the Robertson family being punished by the public, she didnât feel as happy as expected. Instead, she felt even sadder.
She kept thinking that if she hadnât allowed Tracy and Vanessa to join the Robertson family, maybe nothing would have happened seven years ago.
Or maybe sheâd been smarter, and her mother wouldnât have died that early.
Not so much hated Vanessa, Tracy, and Roderick, as Melanie couldnât forgive herself.
Angie continued, âMelanie, everything will pass.
âIf it hadnât been for what happened seven years ago, there wouldnât have been so many cute kids.
âAnd Roderick. Maybe God wanted to make you two meet each other. I can tell. that he likes you very much.â
Melanie listened silently, and her tears stopped flowing.
Suddenly, Melanieâs phone rang.
Angie looked at the number and smiled weirdly.
Before Melanie could react, Angie pressed the answer button and put the phone.
on Melanieâs ear.
âMelaâ¦â Roderick said.
Chapter 42
Roderickâs voice made her heart skip a beat for a moment.
Melanie trembled and threw the phone away.
Angie smiled, picked up the phone and shouted.
âCousinâinâlaw, come here. Weâll be waiting for you on XXX Road.â
Melanie was at a loss.
Melanie said, âAngie, what are you talking about? Letâs go.â
Angie directly lay in the car, as if she wouldnât move.
âIâm tired. After driving for so long and talking so much, I need to have a rest.
Soon, two luxury cars stopped one after another.
Angie smiled more happily and jumped out of the car.
With a bang, the door closed again.
A familiar fragrance filled the space, and Melanie knew it was Roderick.
Roderick hugged her and held her tightly in his arms as if to be embedded in his rib.
âMelaâ¦
âDonât be afraid,â Roderick said in a low voice.
He gently smoothed the hair around her ears, stroked her eyes with his cold fingers, and kissed her.
Melanie blinked and felt strange when she saw the manâs handsome eyes.
Like so many times, his voice awakened her from the nightmare and he made her see the light again.
Melanie thought, âDid all this really come from destiny?â
Melanie looked at the man in front of her dumbfoundedly and couldnât help but stroke his face with one hand.
âIt doesnât matter,â she said.

Chapter 42
She remembered the last time he said âIâm sorryâ to her.
If it was all Godâs will, maybe she should say âIt doesnât matter.
Melanie thought, âAngie was right. Everything was my choice back then.
âHe saved my life and gave my three cute and smart sons.â
Surprise flashed in Roderickâs eyes. âMelaâ¦â
Melanie looked at Roderick in front of her with a solemn face.
She said, âFor the sake of Elias, letâs get along well with each other in the future.â
Roderickâs look changed. âGet along? How?â
âAs friends. Anyway, you are the father of Elias. That wonât change.â
âOkay.â
Roderick readily agreed.
He thought, I donât just want to be friends, stupid woman.
Thinking of this, he looked at Melanie with cunning eyes.
âIâll take you home.â
