Chapter 64
Triplet Mommy’s Triumphant Return
Chapter 64
Melanie thought, âWhatâs wrong with me?
âI am already in my twenties and I have been a mother for seven years.
âI experienced it myself seven years ago and have seen a lot of handsome and strong men. Why do I find this manâs body attractive?
âI shouldnât have been! I used to hate men being naked!â
Thinking about this, Melanie forced herself to look away. But somehow, she couldnât help turning to Roderickâs face.
Roderickâs eyes were closed and his brow furrowed slightly. He seemed to be sleeping soundly but uncomfortably!
Melanie exclaimed in her heart, âHe is beautiful.â
Even though he was frowning, he still looked handsome. To Melanieâs surprise, she found him pitiful now.
Melanie stretched out her hand, wanting to smooth the wrinkles between Roderickâs eyebrows.
Just when she was about to touch Roderickâs glowing skin, she noticed a small red mole around the corner of his eye.
Melanie was suddenly reminded of Elias.
She thought after Elias grew up, he would look even more like Roderick and a lot of women would be fascinated by him.
Realizing that she was about to touch Roderick, Melanie hurriedly withdrew her hand.
Melanie thought, âWhat am I doing?
âItâs like Iâm possessed.
âThis man must be a witch!â
Melanie thought she should get out of here in no time.

But when Melanie saw Roderickâs naked chest, she felt a little angry!
Melanie thought, âWhy doesnât he take care of himself?
âHe is sleeping on the sofa without wearing his jacket. He will catch a cold!â
Melanic coughed drily.
Melanie thought, âWhy am I worrying about him catching a cold? It must be because of Ethan and Elias!
âThatâs right. If he catches a cold, Elias and Ethan might be infected!
âYes, thatâs exactly the reason.
Melanie comforted herself silently. She pulled Roderickâs jacket and wanted to put it on him!
She thought, âJust take it as an act of kindness in the middle of the night!â
She pulled the jacket for a while and found that Roderick was too heavy so she couldnât pull it out.
Melanie muttered, âI should let you freeze to death?
âForget about it. Iâll fetch you a blanket!â
As Melanie said this, she turned around to get a blanket in her room. Unexpectedly, the moment she turned around, Roderickâs eyes suddenly opened.
Roderickâs charming eyes shone with triumph.
Clearly, Roderick didnât wake up just now. He had been pretending to be asleep!
Hearing that Melanie wanted to fetch him a blanket, Roderick couldnât help feeling proud of his plan.
Roderick rolled over again to reveal more of his skin.
Roderick would take off his shirt if he wasnât afraid of scaring Melanie.
But he knew Melanie was timid and would easily flush.
He thought he should take it step by step. After all, the situation was different from

what it had been seven years ago.
Thinking about what happened seven years ago, Roderick felt his heart beating faster and his adrenalin flowing.
Roderick remembered everything he said and did to Melanie when he finally came to his senses that night.
He clearly remembered that the girl in his arms was a little scared bit at first but she didnât refuse him later.
As soon as he told her not to be afraid, he could feel her relaxing in his arms. Later, she pressed herself against him hard.
Roderick wished to relive that night.
Roderick sighed slightly.
Suddenly, he heard Melanieâs footsteps coming from the entrance of the hall. He quickly closed his eyes to pretend to be asleep.
When Melanie came back with the blanket, she saw Roderick still sleeping soundly. His shirt was one step away from sliding off him.
She couldnât help looking around and whispering, âWhere are your ghostâlike bodyguards? Why didnât they put something on you? Do they think youâre made of iron?â
Melanie was immediately reminded of a body as hard as iron.
Melanie flushed again. She quickly looked around, feeling guilty.
There was dead silence except for the faint sound of clocks ticking.
Melanie calmed down and covered Roderick with the blanket.
As soon as she turned around, Roderick, who seemed to be sleeping, made a muffled sound and rolled over again.
As soon as Roderick rolled/over, the blanket slid off him.
Melanie never expected that a man could sleep like a child who tossed and turned and tangled up the quilt.

Without thinking, she picked up the blanket and wanted to put it on Roderick again.
Unexpectedly, before the blanket even touched Roderick, she slipped and lost her balance.
Melanie didnât forget to curse in a fraction of a second during which she fell.
Melanie thought she deserved it. She shouldnât done so many things for him. If she hadnât done these things, she wouldnât have slipped.
The last place Melanie wanted to fall to was Roderickâs naked chest! But it happened.
Melanie cried, âUgh!â
Without opening her eyes, Melanie knew what she had done and what had happened.
Her face hit Roderickâs chest and he held her in his arms after waking up.
Roderick couldnât help calling in a low voice, âMela!â
Roderick couldnât keep pretending to be asleep anymore.
If Melanie hadnât accidentally fallen on him, he would have done this too.
He planned to hold her in his arms when she put the blanket on him.
He didnât expect that God would help him too: Melanie fell into his arms.
Roderick thought he must seize this opportunity.
Thinking about this, Roderick held Melanie tighter.
Melanieâs tender and glowing face was pressed against his chest. Roderick thought it felt so soft and was reluctant to let go of her.
Where their skin touched, they both felt as if an electric current had struck them.
Melanie struggled and made a muffled sound.
But she soon realized that she couldnât stand up on her own. After all, she was held tightly in Roderickâs arms.

Melanie said, âLet go of me!â
Melanieâs voice was undoubtedly alluring to Roderick.
Melanie said, âDonât get me wrong. I just wanted to cover you with the blanket!â
Roderick said, âI didnât misunderstand it, Mela. Thank you for caring about me.â
Out of Melanieâs sight, Roderick tried hard to not smile and pretended to be calm.
Although he said so, he didnât loosen his grip on Melanie at all. He still hugged her tightly.
Melanie said, âItâs good that you didnât misunderstand it. Then why donât you let go of me? Let me stand up!â
Melanie struggled again.
She didnât expect that her struggle only brought her closer to Roderick.
