Chapter 93
Mafia Kings: Valentino: Dark Mafia Romance Series #6 by Olivia Thorn
Mafia Kings: Valentino: Chapter 93 I could barely sleep that night, I was so excited.
Not only was I going to see Cat â I had a plan out of this fucking mess.
Even though I only got a couple hours of sleep, I was filled with energy when I woke.
I couldnât wait to see her!
Everything was going to be just fine!
I ate breakfast on my own, then walked outside â
And suddenly realized I had no idea which direction Resuttano was.
As I was standing there staring out at the horizon, I heard a voice behind me.
âDonât know where to go?â
I turned around.
It was Ludavica.
âOh,â I said, taken aback. âUh... you know about that?â
She rolled her eyes. âYes, of course. She tells me everything.â
âOh.â
Made sense.
Thatâs what people in love were supposed to do.
âIsabella realized you probably didnât know where to go, but she thought it would look a little obvious if she came after you. So she sent me instead.â Then Ludavica got a little pissed. âFor the record, I was totally against telling you. But for some unknowable reason, she trusts you.â
âAnd you donât?â I asked, annoyed.
She sighed. âYou seem okay... but letâs be real. Sheâs from a mafia family, but sheâs naïve. Youâre from a mafia family, and I donât know you. I donât know what youâre capable of. I know what her fatherâs capable of, though, and it scares the shit out of me.â
â...yeah,â I muttered, thinking back to the barn.
âPlease donât fuck us on this one,â Ludavica whispered desperately. âPlease. Sheâs all I have.â
I nodded. âI understand. And I wonât â I promise.â
Ludavica looked into my eyes as though searching for the truth...
And then finally relented.
âSee that old ruin on the horizon, about half a mile away?â she said, looking over at the left side of the property. âWalk towards that and keep going. After about three miles, youâll be on top of a ridge. Youâll see Resuttano in the distance. The chapel is on the outskirts of the town â youâll reach it before you get to Resuttano.â
âThank you.â
Ludavica nodded glumly, like she was sealing her own fate, and walked away.
