Chapter 34
Marry My Ex’s Uncle After Rebirth
Chapter 34
Vincent stared at her flushed cheeks and hazy eyes and tilted her chin upward with his finger. âI didnât look at her,â he said.
Stephanie raised her eyebrows and said, âWhich one of us is more beautiful?â
Vincent chuckled and replied, âI didnât look at her, so how could I know her appearance?â
Stephanie thought Vincent was very crafty. He would not fall for her trick question.
She squinted at him and asked. âDo you think Iâm pretty?â
They had a proximity where their breaths intermingled. Her stent, mixed with the mellow taste of red wine, wafted into Vincentâs nose.
Vincent swallowed and answered h o a r s e l y, âYes.â
With her fingertips h o o k e d around the buttons of his shirt, she could kiss him by just moving a little closer.
âWho is Giovanni?â he asked.
âGiovanni is my subordinate who runs errands for me,â she replied.
Vincent was finally relieved. He said, âStephie, can you tell me if you have any problems in the future?â
Stephanieâs eyes narrowed when she heard the manâs solemn voice. âAre you upset?â she asked.
Vincent bit his lower lip and said, âIâm glad you can protect yourself, but I feel useless if youâre so independent. You can rely on me, Stephie.â
Knowing what he meant, she blinked her eyes and promised solemnly, âWhenever youâre present, I will put all the blame for my crimes on you!â
Vincent felt nonplussed from her solemn speech. âWhat crimes have you committed?â he said.
âDonât tell anyone!â Stephanie said to him.
âOkay,â he agreed.
âI sprinkled itching powder on Luciannaâs face. The powder is mixed with all kinds of ingredients that will cause itchiness. Without my antidote, she will keep feeling the itch,â Stephanie explained. Then, she slipped her bands into his shirt from the gap between the buttons. âIs it not a crime?â she continued.
âNo, she deserves it,â Vincent said. He stiffened and then wondered, âWhatâs with the antidote?â
Then, Stephanie recalled something and fumbled for her handbag. She fished out her phone and called Florence. She said, âI saw you get scratched by Lucianna just now. Just a reminder that she has AIDS. You should go to the hospital and get Post-Exposure Prophylaxis.â
âAre you scaring me?â Florence replied coldly.
âItâs up to you,â Stephanie replied. She hung up and looked at Vincent with a sly smile. âIâm going to sin tonight,â she said to Vincent.
âHow so?â he asked.
As soon as he finished speaking, Stephanie kissed his lips closing her eyes. Vincent reached out to hold her waist, but before he could tighten his grip, the zipper on the back of her dress opened without warning The off-the-shoulder dress dropped,

Her tanned and supple skin entered his sight, Vincent was a healthy man, and he was fond of Stephanie. His breath immediately became labored, and his lower abdomen clenched with an uncontrollable burning desire, threatening to overflow.
He raked his fingers through her hair and pulled her closer to himself.
She put her hand on his waist and felt his tight and perfect abdominal muscles. Then she went lower to Apolloâs belt
Vincent moaned lowly and bit her lips.
Stephanie frowned and asked with moist eyes, âHow can you bite me?â
âDonât touch me,â he said. Vincentâs voice was h o a r s e and deep, evident that he was burning with desire.
Stephanie pouted, âitâs just your abdominal muscles. Why are you so mean? I have checked and verified seven packs in total. Shouldnât they be a pair? Why is there an extra lump?â she asked. As she spoke, she did not notice her exposed body for uninterrupted viewing
He said, âStephanieâ¦â
âWhat?â she replied.
âYour dress,â he said,
Stephanie hummed and looked down. âHuh? How did my dress fall? Oh dear, my boobs are exposed,â she said.
Vincentâs heart softened as he saw her pout. He took off his suit jacket and covered her while smiling. He said, âThere you go.â
âYouâre the best. Vincent,â Stephanie said and smiled. She suddenly lay down and rested her head on his lap. âIâm so sleepy. I want to sleep for a while,â she said
Vincent tensed up and replied, âOkay.â
At first, Stephanie was lying flat, then she turned to her side, breathing warm air onto Vincentâs clothes. Vincent could not help but clench his fists. He took a deep breath and gently moved her face the other way.
Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of Tranquil Garden,
Vincent looked down and said, âHey, Stephie, weâre here. Time to get up.â
h.â Stephanie mumbled. She tried pushing herself up, but felt super weak and flopped back onto Vincent.
âOh,â
Just then, the car door swung open. Zane caught Stephanie all sprawled out on Vincentâs lap and his eyes went wide. âUh-oh, what did I just walk into?â he wondered to himself before stammering, âMy bad, Mr. Fletcher.â
Vincent gave him a look. âRelax, youâve got it all wrongâ
Zane was speechless.
Vincent lifted Stephanie, sliding under her to help her up, then scooped her onto his lap in the wheelchair. Zane wheeled them inside to
o their room.
âYouâre good to go, Vincent told him, basically saying he could leave.
Zane hesitated, âYou sure you can handle this alope?
âDonât worry. She is asleep,â Vincent answered.

Zane nodded and left.
Vincent rolled over to the bed, carefully picking Stephanie up, cradling her neck and legs, and gently laid her down.
Stephanie half-opened her eyes. âVincent, youâre standing,â she murmured,
Vincent froze until she closed her eyes again, worried she almost figured something out. He took a long breath, feeling like he just dodged a bullet.
On the other side, Florence and Douglas were about to head back to the mansion in the suburb after they finished giving their statement. But Florence looked shell-shocked as she hung up with Stephanie.
Douglas asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
Tears welled up in Florenceâs eyes. âDouglas, Stephanie said that Lucianna fias AIDS. Lucianna scratched me just now,â she explained.
Subconsciously, Douglas moved away from her and said, âThen letâs go to the hospital for a checkupâ
He made Florence sit shotgun to keep a safe distance between them. He started driving.
At the hospital, after the doc checked her out, he explained that getting a scratch doesnât really spread AIDS, but heâd run some tests to make her foel better.
Douglas looked disgusted. âGet whatever treatments you need.â
Florence was still worried about the result. She reached out and tried to seek comfort from him, but Douglas kept his distance. âListen, Flore, Iâll drop you at the Hayes place after this.â
Florence resented Douglas, but she did not dare to show it. After all, she could only rely on Douglas. If she left him, she would have nothing left, so she just nodded, âOkay.â
Douglas sent Florence back to the Hayes manor and drove away without getting out of the car. As she watched the car leave, Florence stomped her feet in anger.
Coincidentally, Horace and Matilda also arrived home. The two of them kept asking questions. Florence answered in irritation. Then she chased them out of the car and drove to follow Douglas.
She tailed Douglas to the Paradise Club. There, she saw him get out of his car and smooch some woman all dolled up in flashy clothes at the entrance. Florence knew Douglas was always chasing skirts; he didnât have eyes just for her.
A nasty thought popped into her head, âIf Iâve got AIDS, Iâll make sure he gets it toolâ
