Chapter 100
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 100
Harrison had a hot towel on his face, while Lauren was looking for some medicine to help with his bruises in the first aid kit.
âAs if it wasnât your fault! We couldnât get in touch with you last night. We thought your uncle was up to no good again, so your father went to question him and they got into a fight when they started butting heads!â Lauren said angrily.
Nash had already told Hera the explanation he gave her parents while they were on their way to the company.
Hera walked toward the desk and apologized guiltily, âDad, Iâm sorry I made you worry.â
Besides feeling sorry that her father had gotten beaten, there was also warmth in her chest.
She knew she would always be her parentsâ treasure.
âBy the way, Hera, weâve decided to postpone your birthday celebration for a few days,â Lauren said helplessly as she grabbed a bottle of ointment and applied it to the bruises on Harrisonâs face.
Hera was stunned. âWhy? Iâve already notified several of my classmates and teachers.â.
Harrison sighed and said, âYour uncle wants to bring Helenaâs birthday celebration forward to the same day. Itâs obvious theyâre trying to bully you. So, if we canât afford to offend them, why donât we just avoid them?â
âWhy should we avoid them? If she celebrates her birthday and I celebrate mine, then we wonât be getting in anyoneâs way, no?â she said angrily.
Lauren stuffed the bottle into Harrisonâs hand. âDo it yourself.â
She then turned to look at her daughter before answering her, âYour uncleâs family has better connections in the family than we do. When those relatives all attend Helenaâs birthday rather than yours, will you be happy then? Will you still be able to celebrate your birthday?â
Lauren did not want her daughter to experience a bad birthday and so chose to postpone it.
Hera pursed her red lips, conceding sadly, âAlright then.â
âI donât think you should postpone Heraâs birthday,â said Nash all of a sudden at this moment.
Both Lauren and Harrison looked at Nash.
Hera forced herself to smile before saying, âItâs okay. Itâs just postponing it. It doesnât matter if we celebrate it a few days
later.â
âThey brought Helenaâs birthday celebration forward to bully you. If you postpone it, theyâll gain an inch,â Nash pressed.
It was not like Lauren did not understand this. âBut if Hera and Helena were to celebrate their birthdays on the same day, Heraâs birthday party will definitely be dismal!â she said helplessly.
Harrison echoed, âNot only that, Kai is going to celebrate Helenaâs birthday at the Chateau Hotel. The old man will definitely
go there.â
Heraâs eyes widened. âThe Chateau Hotel?â
That was the property of the Skye family in Capiton and the most luxurious hotel in Jonford.
Even the most common membership card was not available to the Lewis family.
Nash smiled slightly. âHera, do you also want to hold your birthday party at the Chateau Hotel?â
Hera felt herself shiver when she heard that. She then shook her head and answered, âI donâtâ¦â
It was no use even thinking about it!
The Watsons were the wealthiest family in Jonford, and they had at least one Black Diamond VIP card in their hands.
Even if she was able to spend 140 million just for a membership card, she would be inviting shame onto herself.
What was more, it was impossible for her to fork up that amount of money.
She would only be able to get 56 million dollars after completing that project with Drake Group, and that project would take up at least a whole year.
âNash, can you book a room at the Chateau Hotel?â Lauren asked cautiously.
She already had her suspicions about Nashâs identity. Could Nashâs question just now be implying that he had a way to enter the hotel?
Nash nodded. âI have a friend who works at the Chateau Hotel. It wonât be a problem for me to ask him for a private room!â
Hera hurriedly said, âItâs okay! Letâs not bother other people. So what if we can get a room? The Watsons will definitely get a room thatâs bigger than ours. Weâd just be humiliating ourselves if we go!â
Lauren nodded. âThatâs trueâ¦â
Hera continued, âSo, itâs decided. My birthday will be postponed to the eighth of the following month.â
Seeing how resolute her daughter was about this, Lauren said nothing. She just lowered her head and sighed.
Meanwhile, in the Hill familyâs villaâ¦
