The way Robin was acting only caused Boris to feel even more

nervous.

Lily knocked on the door and said, “Mr. Griffin is here, Ms. Hera!”

“Come in!”

Hera’s cool voice rang out from inside the office.

Upon hearing that, Lily opened the door and said to Boris, “Please go

in, Mr. Griffin!”

Boris drew in a deep breath and regulated his emotions before heading into the office.

“Ms. Hera, you wanted to see me?” Boris lowered his head as he

spoke respectfully.

Hera leaned back against her chair and used her fingers to drum the

table without saying anything.

The fear that Boris had worked so hard to suppress washed over him

once more.

Whenever Hera drummed the table during meetings, it meant she was suppressing her fury.

A whole three minutes passed before she said coolly, “How much did Deco Electronics pay you?”

Boris’ gaze shifted as he looked up and asked, “W-What do you mean by that, Ms. Hera?”

He immediately lowered his gaze when his eyes met Hera’s cold ones.

Following the growth of Baroque, Hera had also grown and flourished

aplenty in the past two months. The employees were already calling her the Ice Queen behind her back. He was a mere departmental head and did not have the courage to meet Hera’s eyes.

“I’m sure you know perfectly well what I mean, Mr. Griffin !” Hera said

Boris trembled upon hearing that.

Baroque had already begun facing financial difficulties back in 2019.
