The call ended. Nash listened to the busy tone on the other end of the

line, somewhat speechless. Fabian and Melody were both trusted by the Young family, and they both possessed top-notch business acumen. He had been thinking about trying to match them up.

At Innovate Collective, Hera, dressed in professional attire, walked out

of her office. She saw Melody’s cold expression. She walked up to her

and asked, “Melody, what’s wrong?”

Melody shook her head. “I’m fine.”

Hera smiled gently. “The only person who can make you so angry

must be your young sir, right?”

Melody shot Hera a complicated look and then repeated what Nash

had just said. She thought Nash was worried about entrusting the

Universal Foundation to Fabian and so came to her to learn more

about him. She did not expect him to play matchmaker!

“Melody, let’s go to my office and talk,” Hera said lightly while looking

at Melody. Then, she turned around and walked toward her office. Melody looked at Hera’s back in astonishment, nervousness suddenly washing over her.

In the office, Hera asked her secretary to prepare tea while she sat on

the couch on one side. Melody took a deep breath and sat down on

the couch on the other side.

She suddenly realized that Hera’s aura was stronger now, even

The secretary brewed a pot of tea and poured a cup each for both of

them. Sensing that the mood between them was off, she whispered, ”

Ms. Lewis, there’s a batch of new employees. I’ll go check on their

training!” With that, she left the office.

“Melody…” Hera stared at Melody, her tone devoid of any emotion.

“Huh?” Melody responded dumbly, her nervousness intensifying. Was

Hera going to make her leave Nash?

“You’re not young anymore. Don’t you have thoughts of finding a

boyfriend?” Hera asked calmly.

“Not at the moment. Being single isn’t bad either. I have more money

than I can spend, and I don’t have to worry about trivial matters in life!

Melody picked up the teacup and gently blew on it.

“Melody, do you like Nash?” Hera suddenly asked.

“I don’t,” Melody said as she took a sip of tea. She did not dare meet

Hera’s eyes directly.

“Pfft!” Hera could not hold it anymore and burst into laughter.

This puzzled Melody. “What are you laughing at?” Hera confused her. Just a moment ago, she looked like she wanted to end their

friendship. Now, she was behaving intimately.

Hera walked over to Melody and sat down beside her, linking her arm

with hers. She said in a soft voice, “I don’t mind, you know…”

Melody shuddered, staring at Hera in disbelief. “Hera, w-what do you

She did not mind that Melody liked Nash? Was Hera trying to push her man onto another woman?

Hera nodded. “The first time you saved me, you almost lost your life.

Actually, I knew you did it so Nash wouldn’t be hurt and upset. My mom asked me a question back then. She asked what if you and Nash developed feelings for each other over time?

“At that time, I was very against the idea. I believed no woman would willingly share her beloved man with someone else!

“But later, I understood. Nash is a man destined for great things. I should let him roam freely in the world. I can’t accompany him on his adventures, but I shouldn’t become a stumbling block for him either!

“So even if he has other women in the future, I’ll accept it willingly. I

also believe in him. No matter how many women there are, he’ll

continue to love me as always!”

Hera’s words shocked Melody. She had not expected Hera to think this way. However, even if Hera could accept it, would Nash agree? He was already prepared to marry her off, indicating she held no significant place in his heart.
