Zachariah heaved a weary sigh after he hung up the phone.

The secretary chauffeuring him said in a low voice, “Sir, I don’t think you should get involved in this matter!”

Zachariah lit a cigarette and took a long drag before saying, “How can

I sit by and not get involved? The Eve family just sacked 3,000 of their employees today. If I don’t get involved, 10,000 people will be sacked

the next day.

“Are you going to volunteer to relocate those who lost their jobs?”

The dirt on the Eve family involved human lives.

He did not want to help the Eves, but they were one of Sagen’s

largest families and employed over 200,000 employees.

Saul was sacking employees to force the government authorities t

get involved.

“Come on, let’s go meet Melody Stone. This woman is even crueler

than her father!”

Zachariah got out of the car.

Then, his phone began ringing again.

He glanced at the caller ID. It was Matthew, the governor-general of

the South.

Zachariah trembled as he hurriedly answered the phone. “Governer –

General Matthew…”

At the entrance to the Empire Hotel, Melody was bringing Nash along

with her to meet up with Tina.

“Hello, Mr. Calcraft!”

Tina smiled as she held a hand out in greeting.

Her gaze no longer held any contempt for Nash.

Nash shook her hand briefly. “Hello!”

His eyebrows knitted themselves together briefly when he took Tina’s

Her hand was cold to the touch, but her palm was clammy.

Tina’s eyes widened. “H-How do you know that?”

Nash had listed out every single symptom she was experiencing. She had gone for a health check-up, but the doctor had just attributed her symptoms to hypomenorrhea.

Melody smiled as she said, “I told you, he’s got extensive medical

knowledge!”

“In that case… Could you provide me with any treatment, Mr. Calcraft?”

Tina’s heart was racing.

This was a feeling that she had never experienced in her 28 years of

living.

Nash directed his gaze toward Tina’s chest.

Tina was dressed in office wear and had on a white blouse beneath

her black blazer.

Her assets were practically spilling from her shirt.

Seemingly sensing where Nash’s gaze was directed, Tina

surreptitiously straightened her back.

“Hey, hey. Are you done looking?”

Melody reached a hand out and waved it before Nash’s eyes.

“Melody, we can still remain friends if you don’t say anything!”

Tina glared at Melody.

He was such a wonderful man, so why should she pass on trying to shoot her shot just because Melody did not want to get together with

him?

“I’m trying to figure out the cause of her illness!”

Nash rolled his eyes at Melody.

“Is that so? Should I ask Tina to strip naked so that you can get a

better view?”

Melody’s voice was tinged with jealousy.

She was so much better than Tina in every possible way, but Nash

had never looked at her that way.

Nash said ruefully, “There’s something off about the pendant she’s

wearing. It has too much negative energy in it, and it’s causing an imbalance of her inner energies. Tina, if you don’t get rid of it, you

won’t make it past the next week!”

Melody’s eyes widened. “Why didn’t you say that sooner?”

Tina removed the pendant from her neck as she said, “This was a gi

from my father. I lent it to my niece yesterday!”
