Chapter 1176
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 1176
âMy father bought this pendant from a jewelry shop. How could it contain negative energy?
âAlso, were you trying to scare me when you said I wouldnât make it past the next week?â
Tina was not angry, nor was she screaming or shouting at Nash. She merely sounded doubtful.
âYou can always choose not to believe me!â
Nash smiled wryly as he shrugged.
He was only helping Tina because she knew Melody.
It was not his problem if she chose not to trust him.
âI trust you!â
Tina gazed intently at Nashâs dark eyes.
1
His eyes were so dark that they seemed bottomless, and it wa
easy to get lost in them.
What a pity he was married!
The intensity of Tinaâs gaze made Melody feel uncomfortable. S
reached a hand out to wave it before Tinaâs eyes. âStop looking. You
eyes are going to fall out of their sockets soon!â
However, Melody was not Nashâs woman.
Why was she feeling so uncomfortable?
Tina returned to her senses. A blush crept up on her tiny face as she said, âDoes this mean Iâll be fine as long as I stop wearing this
pendant?â
Nash shook his head. âThereâs already a buildup of negative energy inside your body, and itâs constantly engulfing any positive energy inside you. Youâll have to get rid of this energy!â
âOh? How should I do that? Should I become one with someone
whoâs got plenty of positive energy?â Tina asked, a flirtatious look appearing on her face.
âNeedling treatment should be sufficient !â Nash said as he smiled
slightly.
Melody gave Tina an exasperated jab. âDamn, girl. When did you become so flirty?â
âHehe⦠Itâs only because Iâve never met anyone worth flirting with. Whatâs the matter? Are you jealous?â
Tina grinned.
When Melody recalled how Nash had helped her use the toilet, she blushed profusely as she said stubbornly, âWhy would I be jealous?
donât even like him!â
Tina abruptly wiped the smile off her face and turned away to button her shirt up as she whispered, âMr. Dune is here!â
Melody looked over and saw Zachariah walking over with two other
men clad in suits.
Zachariah was in his 40s. He was well-dressed, had on a pair of wire-
rimmed glasses, and his hair was combed neatly. He had the air of a distinguished gentleman.
â
Melody smiled as she walked forth and extended her right hand. â Hello, Mr. Duneâ¦â
Zachariahâs features were arranged in a calm expression as he
graciously shook Melodyâs hand. A smile appeared on his face, and he let out a chuckle as he said, âMr. Stone was considered a genius in the business world, and Iâm so happy on his behalf that his daughter is outperforming him!â
âYouâre too kind, Mr. Dune. I just hope my father rests easy, bless his
soul!â
Melody smiled an inauthentic smile as she responded.
Zachariah had sounded ever so threatening when he called her to arrange for the meeting this evening
Yet, now that they were meeting in person, he was speaking to her
with so much respect.
Of course, she knew that it was because Nash had helped her out.
It was nice having a man who could do anything on her side.
âHaha, Iâm sure Mr. Stone can rest easy now. May I know who thes
two are?â
Zachariahâs gaze landed on Tina and Nash as he spoke.
Tina was dressed in ordinary-looking business wear and did not seem like someone with connections to a governor-general.
However, the young man beside her did not seem like a force he
should reckon with either.
Melody introduced them, âThis is my friend, Nash Calcraft. And this is Tina Snow, my best friend!â
Zachariah hurried forth to shake their hands.
Tina was the CEO of a small company. She was naturally ecstatic to
get the chance to have dinner with a governor. Her hands trembled as
she shook his hand.
