Chapter 2399
My Substitute CEO Bride
Lillia smiled.
"Mr. Melton, you're so generous. No problem, we're ready to start."
Late at night, Dusky was observing Nash from a distance. He did not plan to take any action. He just wanted to see how far Clint would go.
At this time, Sterling walked to Dusky's side and said, "Hello, Lord Ruin. Long time no see."
Dusky did not respond to him. He knew that the real Mos was gone. He could not care for the current Sterling at all.
Sterling sat down beside him and asked, "How does it feel to be reborn?" "Nothing much."
"Where are you going next?"
"The Eastern District of the Northern Territory. I'm going there to find the next god candidate."
"You must be busy."
"What do you want?" Dusky asked impatiently.
Sterling smiled and then patted Dusky on the shoulder. He said, "It's exactly what Master Nash and the others said. You've changed so much."
"Have I changed or have you all changed?"
"No, we've all changed."
"Mosley, let's-"
"Stop," Sterling cut him off and continued, "My name is Sterling now. What about you? What's your name?"
"Dusky."
"Oh, I see. That's a pretty name."
"What are you trying to say?" Dusky snapped. He was getting impatient.
Sterling pointed at Nash in the distance and said, "What do you think the final outcome will be?"
Dusky looked at Nash. The reason why Sterling pointed at Nash was to tell Dusky that the outcome was not finalized yet.
In Dusky's eyes, Nash was indeed the rare outlier and had altered fate so many times.
"If the question is wrong from the beginning, what's the point of answering it? Yes,
I do believe that Nash and Clint could make a change, but there's no perfect answer to this question at all.
"Due to Clint's selfishness, Ronan is able to remain in the mortal world. I won't judge if this is good or bad, because it's the same as becoming a god-there is no definite answer.
"Sometimes I feel that the world is both fair and unfair. Multiple choices never existed in this world. What a dud."
Dusky stood up and left. He was true to his word and no longer planned to get involved in these things. He was going to the Eastern District of the Northern Territory now.
Sterling looked at Dusky's back and could not help but smile.
"It's obvious that he hasn't changed much."
Late at night, Clint came to Ronan's room.
He sat in front of Ronan's window with a conflicted heart as he looked at Ronan,
who was still fighting against the demonic energy within him.
Perhaps Oswald and Dusky were right. Maybe no solution was the answer, but he still made his choice in the end.
"Ronan, I'm sorry..."
At this time, dazzling light burst forth from the talisman behind Clint.
Clint's hesitation began the moment he took out the talisman.
He did not know that the gods selected by the talisman would temporarily obey
his commands. Of course, he did not have the ability to negotiate with the
heavenly emperor, so the gods he sent up stayed in the god realm.
Furthermore, he was unable to erase their memories, which made him feel even more powerless.
Clint was even more at a loss after being easily defeated by Dusky.
"W-What should I do?"
