Meanwhile, Kalo and Chevy met at an intersection after picking up the items. Chevy was gasping for breath.

"This path... is longer than I expected."

"Haha, Chevy, I told you not to sit around all the time. Look at you now-you can't even handle a short run."

"You've got no room to talk; you're sweating buckets too."

"That's just my high metabolism," Kalo joked.

Chevy scoffed. "It's just because you're out of shape."

"You little-"

"Alright, alright, let's hurry. They're probably getting worried," Chevy said,

preparing to run again.

However, Kalo stopped him. "Chevy."

"Huh? What's up?"

"Did you say something to my brother?"

Chevy was a bit taken aback. He had not expected Kalo, who usually seemed scatterbrained, to be so sensitive to changes in his brother.

"I don't know what you're talking about..."

"Last night, when we were heading back from dinner, did you say something to my brother across the street?"

Chevy paused, then sighed and answered in a serious tone, "Yeah, I did."

"I saw my brother crying. What did you say to him?"

"It was nothing. I was just curious about your choices, that's all."

"Choices?"

"Yes," Chevy replied with a stern expression. "Since you brought it up, I want to ask you too, Kalo. Do you like Teresa?"

Kalo's face turned bright red.

"W-What are you saying?!"

"Kalo, you know your brother likes Teresa too, don't you? So, tell me. What's your decision?"

Kalo's gaze started darting around nervously. He was trying to avoid the question. Even so, Chevy pressed on, "Let me tell you your brother's choice. He chose to step back!"

Kalo's eyes widened in shock.

Chevy continued, "Your relationship can't stay the same forever, so he chose to step back. Do you get it now, Kalo?"

Kalo shouted, "No way! Absolutely not!"

"Kalo..." Chevy was puzzled by Kalo's reaction. What was going on?

Tears streamed down Kalo's face as he kept walking forward. Chevy thought Kalo was afraid of making a choice, but it was quite the opposite. Kalo's choice was the same as his brother's; he, too, had chosen to step back.

Earlier at Teresa's station, Kalo had noticed something—she had a photo carefully tucked away in her drawer. It was a photo of her and Anox together.

It was meticulously preserved, almost to the point of being described as delicate. Cute stickers adorned the edges of the photo, with a small heart in the top left corner.

Kalo had always known that Teresa liked Anox.

Kalo realized he was just a petty person trying to get close to Teresa through his brother.

Hence, he was strongly against the idea of having Teresa given to him. He would never allow it—absolutely not.

Teresa's feelings for him were never love, not in the romantic sense, but merely friendship. He understood this clearly, and he was not surprised by his brother's decision.

Nevertheless, he could not hold back his tears.
