Chapter 2458
My Substitute CEO Bride
On the competition stage, the two forces clashed with equal intensity, neither willing to give an inch. Both participants knew that losing at this stage could impact their performance in the later stages of the spirit battle.
The entire arena was engulfed in a chilling aura, the threat of the spirit powers permeating. Despite the mounting pressure and the fact that both had started bleeding from their mouths, neither would relent. Even the spirits were growing concerned and urged the Dune brothers to stop.
"Enough, kid! Stop now!"
"That's right! Anox, stop before you both end up hurt!"
The spirits were anxious, but the brothers were unyielding and continued to channel their true energy.
As the situation worsened, both brothers began to see their vision blur as blood trickled from the corners of their eyes. Kalo's body was trembling uncontrollably.
"I'm going to lose... No... I can't..."
At that moment, he remembered the photo Teresa kept with her.
"Have I... lost? Just like this?"
Kalo fell to one knee, but he did not stop. Anox followed suit, both of them expelling a mouthful of congealed blood.
At that moment, Teresa rushed into the arena, shouting at the two guys, "Stop! Stop right now!"
Both Dune brothers turned their gaze toward her. She had red, swollen eyes and looked terrified.
"Anox, Kalo, stop! Please don't continue this!"
The brothers, their eyes bloodshot and faces etched with pain and desperation, began to regain their senses. They looked at each other, their eyes now tainted with a deep crimson. They showed the fear and helplessness they felt for one another.
Ultimately, they were still concerned for each other's well-being.
Taking advantage of the distraction, the two spirits seized control of their hosts' bodies. The chilling aura that had enveloped the arena instantly dissipated, with the cold energy being absorbed back into their bodies.
Both Elder Python and Elder Ever were at a loss, unsure of what to do next. However, their spirits continued to urge them on, their voices echoing determinedly.
"Fight! This time, we must decide a winner!"
As the battle continued, both spirits were surprised to find that they could not fully control their hosts. They realized they could not control Anox's or Kalo's right hand.
"It seems they've absorbed so much power from outside our own spirits that their right hands are beyond our control," Elder Ever said.
Elder Python replied, "If that's the case, let's continue ourselves."
"Alright, then let me end this battle," Elder Ever declared and then initiated an aggressive assault.
With a flick of his hand, Elder Python joined in, and their attacks collided. Elder Ever used his speed to reposition himself before striking Elder Python from behind, sending him flying.
"Impressive," Elder Python said, feeling the sting from the wound on his back.
Elder Ever was not faring much better. He had sustained a claw injury on his wrist from the clash. Aware that his strength was inferior to Elder Python's, he decided to rely on speed to secure victory.
Suddenly, Elder Python's legs weakened.
"Poison?"
