Chapter 2569

My Substitute CEO Bride

As soon as the token entered everyone's sight, it began to radiate with powerful energy. Even Nash, who possessed considerable strength, felt a tremor of awe at its presence.

"This is incredible!"

After releasing its energy, the token went back to its original state, though the text in the center was still emitting a faint glow.

Many of the big shots and collectors at the venue could hardly contain their excitement the moment this treasure appeared, and all of them started to prepare their bids. Their expressions were set in determination, their eyes fixed on the token's enticing green glow.

"Now, let's get back to business..." The auctioneer brought everyone's thoughts back into focus, and the crowd waited eagerly for the bidding to begin.

Raising the gavel, the auctioneer announced, "Bidding starts now! Starting price- one billion!"

"One billion!"

"I bid 1.1 billion!"

"I bid 1.5 billion!"

Despite the initial price set so high, many continued to raise their offers. Nash felt his heart racing.

"This is getting out of control..."

At that moment, Raylee stood up and shouted, "Enough! I'll bid two billion!"

"Two billion? I'll go 2.1 billion!"

Raylee continued, "Then, I'll bid 3 billion!"

This left the crowd somewhat stunned. Those with a discerning eye could see that Raylee was likely just here for the excitement. Many were drooling over the token, but they did not share Nash's urgent need for it. Some would-be collectors had already stopped bidding.

Clearly, Raylee was just stirring the pot, knowing that no matter how high the price went, someone would always be willing to raise it.

"How long have so many sects been searching for this worthless token? Since the boss decided to auction it, everyone, let's not hold back!" With that, Raylee raised his bidding paddle with a mischievous smile and declared, “I bid ten billion!"

This immediately caused an uproar, with many pointing fingers at Raylee's antics. There were also quite a few sighs as that price was already beyond their reach.

At that moment, Nash quietly raised his bidding paddle. "I bid 20 billion."

Hearing this, Raylee looked at Nash with a mischievous grin. Nash's expression remained neutral as he awaited the auctioneer's announcement.

However, just then, a middle-aged man in a suit next to Nash stood up and shouted, "I bid 25 billion!"

Nash smacked his lips. He knew that Raylee was just trying to stir the pot earlier. He thought that once the bid exceeded 20 billion, Raylee would likely back off, but unexpectedly, another contender entered the fray.

As soon as the bald old man made his bid, Raylee jumped in again, saying, "I bid 30 billion!"

"I bid 35 billion!" the middle-aged man replied impatiently.

Seeing that the bidding was going well, Raylee chose not to hold his tongue. However, it was obvious he was waiting for Nash's reaction.

Nash frowned, his leg shaking nervously. He was clenching his jaw hard, and it felt like he would grind his teeth to dust at any moment.

Meanwhile, the auctioneer began the countdown, "Thirty-five billion going once. Thirty-five billion going twice!"

Just then, a group of men dressed in black entered through the door.
