Chapter 2586

My Substitute CEO Bride

"Ha, I'm really not afraid of these people." Alistair scoffed dismissively.

"Don't be so quick to say that," Fogort interrupted. "Do you really think these so- called 'thrill-seekers' are just here to cause a ruckus for fun?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"They're troublemakers," Fogort explained. "Yes, some of them are just here to stir up chaos for no reason, but some of them... they seem to have been hired."

"Hired?"

"Exactly. Some of the bigger organizations don't want to show their hand yet, so they sent these troublemakers to mess things up. They don't care how far these guys get. Their goal is simply to create chaos, to make things messy."

"And why is that?"

"Let me ask you a question-what was it that caused the downfall of that Poison Immortal Society you were part of?"

Alistair thought for a moment. "Well, back then, the sect had grown pretty influential. A lot of outsiders came to suppress it."

"Exactly. What they're doing now is setting the stage for a similar situation. The bigger you get, the more attention you attract.

"Once Goldspin Commerce becomes too much of a threat, the authorities won't stand idly by. And when they decide to deal with an unpredictable factor like you, what do you think the best solution will be?"

"Define it as a threat, and if there's any loss of life... exterminate on the spot."

"Seems like you're well aware of that." Fogort nodded, turning toward the door. "Mr. Tipton, I'm giving you time. While things haven't yet reached the point of no return, do what the public will see as the right thing.

"You might still have regrets, but you and those children you care so much about might still have a chance."

With that, Fogort pushed open the door and left, leaving Alistair alone in his chair, lost in thought. He rested his chin on his hand, his gaze vacant as he pondered deeply.

Outside, Fogort met up with the others. Aurora was the first to ask, "So, how did it go?"

Fogort's expression remained calm as he replied, "Give him some time. Let's go back."

"Where to?"

"Let's find a hotel and stay here for a few days."

Just as the group was about to leave, they were interrupted by the sound of honking cars. Turning around, they saw four luxury sports cars leading the way, followed by a long, black limousine.

The sports cars honked from a distance as they approached the group.

"Are we blocking their way?" Aurora asked, glancing at the others.

The three guys shook their heads in unison.

"Then, what's going on?"

At that moment, the luxurious cars came to a stop beside them. A group of burly men in suits stepped out of the sports cars. One of them, sporting slicked-back hair, opened the door of the limousine.

Nash stepped out.

The four of them were left speechless. Had Nash... always been this rich?

Nash adjusted his clothes and hair before walking over to them. He was dressed a lavish suit adorned with golden accents, his hands glittering with various pieces of jewelry.

In contrast, even though the four were wearing newly bought clothes, the difference in appearance was painfully obvious.

Whistler, who was somewhat familiar with Nash, pointed at Nash's outfit and

asked, "Master Calcraft, what's all this?"

"Hello, Whistler. Good to see you again."

"Master Calcraft, do you always dress like this?"

"Is it that strange?"

"Well, it's just... Uh—”

"Enough about that," Nash cut him off with a smile. "What brings you here? And

who are your companions?"

Whistler introduced Aurora and Fogort to Nash.

"And you've met Linden before, right?"

"Yes, we've met. So, are you all here for training?" Nash asked.

"Yes," Whistler confirmed.
