Chapter 2613

My Substitute CEO Bride

"That's right. I knew from the moment I saw you that Mr. Tipton had something on you," Troy said.

Nash nodded. "Yes, he trapped my friend with his barrier, and his life is on the line now."

"You made a deal with him?"

"Yes, I agreed to help him deal with those around him, and he promised to release my friend."

"I see."

"Troy, he referred to you as his child. What's the story behind that?"

Troy recounted the events that transpired the previous day. "So, now you understand the reason why you were summoned here. Alistair wants to use your

strength to eliminate those people."

"Troy, what are you trying to say?"

"Mr. Calcraft, there's no need to be so distant," Troy replied. "I wouldn't have revealed myself like this if I didn't trust you. I've heard of your reputation, so I'm hoping you'll extend the same trust to me."

"Alright, then tell me your plan," Nash said.

Troy laid out all the information he had gathered. "If everything goes as expected, we can use the opportunity tomorrow to eliminate Alistair once and for all."

"How do we do that?"

"I've gathered some information about Alistair's abilities," Troy explained.

"What a coincidence. I happen to have some information too. Do share yours," Nash said.

Troy began, "Alistair's abilities include two modes of control, and they correspond to his two personalities. I refer to his cold personality as the primary personality, and the friendly one as his secondary personality.

"There's a pattern to the switch. Both personalities need to be active within a single day, and I've noticed that they switch every three hours.

"So, we need to take advantage of the time when his secondary personality is active to defeat him. The secondary personality can't control the barrier as precisely, and that's our opportunity.

"Tomorrow morning, I'll provoke Alistair to trigger the primary personality. After three hours, when the switch happens, it'll be the perfect time for us to strike."

Hearing this, Nash decided to share the results of his own investigation. "If my guess is correct, the large barrier controlling the entire building is located in the basement. And as we have just witnessed, neither Alistair nor the puppets he controls can be killed while within the barrier.

"Brute force seems to be the only thing that can break the barrier. My friend, Theo, is trapped two floors below the top floor."

Troy nodded. "Looks like we've got enough information now."

"Now, we just wait for everything to begin," Troy said.

"Hold on," Nash replied. "One more question-where's the token?"

Troy shook his head and sighed. "I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find that out either. We might be able to find it once the barrier is damaged."

Nash did not press the issue any further, silently hoping that everything would go smoothly tomorrow. As for the 'stimulus' Troy mentioned, it involved Raylee.

Troy found Raylee and handed over the Infinite Bug Battle Diagram to him. Sure enough, that night, Raylee escaped.

The next morning, Troy rushed into the office in a panic. "Dad, this is bad! The rebel, Raylee, has escaped!"

"What?!" Alistair's eyes widened in shock. Just as Troy had expected, Alistair's tone turned cold, indicating that the primary personality had taken over.

Alistair then ordered, "To the storeroom! I must eliminate that guy at all costs!"

"Yes, Dad, but... I'm not quite familiar with the way because of the barrier," Troy replied.

As anticipated, Alistair marked out the routes to each floor in detail. Troy made his way toward the storeroom. He knew Alistair's primary personality would remain as long as he did not resolve this issue.
