Dorothy knew her place in Raylee's heart, and that was enough. There was no need for her to say more, nor did she have the strength to. She leaned against Raylee and listened to his voice.

With her last bit of strength, Dorothy whispered softly, "I... love hanging out with you the most, Raylee."

Then, she closed her eyes and collapsed next to him.

In the basement, Linden and Aurora were at a loss.

"What do we do now?"

They looked ahead. Standing there was someone they had seen before-Theo. He had also fallen under Alistair's control and was serving as one of the guards for the barrier, along with hundreds more.

Even though none of them was a match for Linden and Aurora, the real problem was the nature of the barrier as it rendered them immortal. No matter how many times Linden and Aurora took them down, they would only get back up. The closer they got to the barrier, the faster the enemies would heal.

Both of them were already struggling, and the barrier itself seemed alive as it constantly attacked them. Neither Linden's nor Aurora's barriers could interfere with it at all.

Linden felt a surge of anxiety come upon him. "This is troublesome... The Six Ritualistic Weapons symbolize the Six Supreme Aspects. Our barriers have no effect on this thing at all."

The two nodded and waited for the transmission of true energy. However, the barrier was not going to sit idly by and sent people to harass them constantly.

The three dodged the incoming attacks while Amy spread her wings and flew to higher ground. Up here, she was safe from the ground attacks and only needed to focus on avoiding the barrier's abilities.
