Chapter 2622
My Substitute CEO Bride
"Where could it be..."
Nash continued to search frantically, realizing he needed to prepare for the possibility that Fogort might fail.
This was not pessimism; it was simply an undeniable fact. Fogort would likely end in failure. If there was no one to contend with Alistair afterward, everyone would perish here.
Hence, he needed to hurry.
At that moment, something suddenly came to Nash's mind.
He stood in the empty hall and closed his eyes. Slowly, three sources of power began to manifest in his mind.
Above him, two forces were clashing violently. They were the true energy released by Fogort and Alistair.
There was another... That was the one!
However, what on earth was going on?
Nash felt confused. The large barrier had disappeared, but he still could not pinpoint the location of the token with any accuracy.
Well, this was something else.
He had no choice but to traverse between the floors repeatedly. He knew he would definitely find it.
Just then, he encountered Amy and the others. She was leading the injured downstairs at an impressive speed.
At that moment, Theo, one of the injured, suddenly ran over and threw himself onto Nash.
"Nash, I thought I would never see you again!"
Nash pushed Theo away, looking annoyed.
"Enough with that. I'm in a hurry."
Theo, who was eager to help, replied, "Nash, if you need anything, just say it. I'll help!"
Nash waved his hand in refusal. "No way, you all need to leave. It's too dangerous here for ordinary people like you."
"Come on, that's not fair," Theo retorted while standing tall with a serious demeanor. He addressed Nash earnestly, "Nash, I may be an ordinary guy, and I know you're looking out for me, but I need to say something."
Theo pretended to be a wise old man, placing his hands behind his back and stroking an imaginary beard as he said, "There's an old saying-one stick breaks easily, but a bundle of sticks is unbreakable.
"Nash, I know you're looking for that token. Don't worry, my friends and I will definitely help you."
He then leaned closer to Nash and whispered, "Just tell me which places in this building you're certain the token isn't at and which places are absolutely off-limits. We're careful with our lives, but for you, going a little crazy isn't out of the question."
Nash still felt somewhat uneasy.
"Theo, you really don't need to do this alone."
"Who said I'm doing this alone?" Theo quickly turned to the people who had
already stopped in their tracks.
"Guy, let's help out!"
"That's right! We must help!"
"Mr. Skye is right!"
"Don't worry, Nash. Leave it to us!" Theo reassured.
Nash was bewildered.
"What's going on with these people? Theo, do you know them?"
"Well..." Theo turned back with a cheerful grin and said, "I won't beat about the bush. During the time we were controlled, our minds were all trapped in one room. It was boring, so we started chatting.
"You know me, I'm a natural at making friends. We talked for who knew how long, so we naturally got familiar with each other."
"I see... Well, I understand now." Nash patted Theo on the shoulder and then addressed the group.
"Everyone, since you're friends of Theo, you're my friends as well. I appreciate your help, but I need to remind you of a few things. First, our time is limited. We probably have less than 30 minutes left, so we must hurry.
"Second, aside from the top floor, the other areas are relatively safe, but please still be cautious."
