Chapter 2671
My Substitute CEO Bride
Scathach began to recount some details about Wrendell. "The Light Reflector Mirror can't steal people's memories, right?"
Otto nodded.
Scathach continued, "It's settled, then. I'll share what we both know.
"Wrendell is a child you found on the back area of the mountain, right? His master is Path Master Haval, and you even tried to guide him a bit, but he just couldn't learn. Actually, that's not entirely his fault. You've noticed my presence, haven't you?
"I'm merely a fragmented soul now. Because of the influence in this area of the mountain and the Light Reflector Mirror, I gained consciousness and have been by my brother's side.
"That's also the reason for the Light Reflector Mirror's negligence. It didn't realize that its power had quietly guided it into the wrong soul. After all, who wouldn't trust their own power? Is my explanation sufficient?" Scathach asked.
Otto found her words incredible, but they were logical, and she showed no intent to harm Wrendell. Thus, Otto relaxed.
"Alright then. Let's prepare to head down the mountain quickly."
Scathach nodded.
With that, Otto repositioned her soul. The two then descended the mountain from another route. At this time, the sky gradually brightened.
Scathach pulled out a phone from the pocket and handed it to Otto. "Master Thorin, let your disciples know that you're here. We're coming down from this side."
Otto nodded and dialed Haval's number. As he explained that they were coming down from another direction, the others rushed toward that direction in a panic.
Otto returned the phone to Scathach. He asked a few questions he did not manage to ask on the mountain. "What are your plans now?"
Scathach thought for a moment before replying casually, "I'm already a dead person, so this body should naturally go back to my brother."
"But what about the Light Reflector Mirror?" Otto expressed concern.
Scathach reassured him, "It's alright. As long as my soul remains within my brother, he won't be affected by the Light Reflector Mirror. I mentioned earlier that my power is similar to that of the Light Reflector Mirror; it can't perceive anything unusual.
"Right now, the Light Reflector Mirror still believes it's controlling this body. In other words, it has fallen into the illusion created by its own power."
Otto felt relieved. Just then, he heard Haval and the others in the distance.
"Master Thorin! Are you okay?"
Otto stepped forward and shouted down the mountain, "I'm fine. You all wait for us down there."
"Alright! Take your time, Master Thorin!"
Then, Otto turned to Scathach and suddenly asked, "Wrendell, that child, really can't hide his feelings."
Scathach replied in surprise, "What do you mean by that?"
Otto did not answer her question directly but stated earnestly, "Don't worry. Now, Wrendell is the rightful heir of the Light Reflector Mirror. With his newfound power, he might not fall into confusion again."
Scathach understood the implication in Otto's words. "Who knows..."
