Chapter 2724

My Substitute CEO Bride

At that moment, Wrendell unexpectedly pulled out scissors and lunged toward his father. Reese immediately realized that the person before him was actually an incarnation of the Light Reflector Mirror.

He rushed forward to intervene, catching the scissors with his bare hands. However, the Light Reflector Mirror showed no signs of stopping.

His lips curled into a strange smirk. "Found you, intruder."

Meanwhile, in the real world, the flames surrounding Reese's circle began to close in rapidly. Scathach also sensed something was wrong.

Suddenly, Wrendell was yanked away by Scathach. Although Reese saved his life, Wrendell's inner world started to crumble.

Then, a blinding light appeared. When Reese opened his eyes again, he found himself back in the mansion.

At that moment, Scathach materialized behind him. "Don't forget your mission. Everything happening in this world is a fabrication. The Light Reflector Mirror will only perceive you when you take action.

"You don't need to worry about what happens next. Just find the fragment of my brother's true soul and awaken him."

Reese remained silent for a moment. Having tapped into Wrendell's memories, he felt a strong connection to the scenes unfolding before him. If he just stood by and did nothing...

"Did you hear me?" Scathach asked.

Reese snapped back to attention. "Yes, I understand."

Then, the previous scene replayed itself. The family radiated joy, each face adorned with smiles. This time, the Light Reflector Mirror did not rush to act. He aimed to let them experience the despair that Wrendell had endured.

As night fell, Wrendell was busy tidying his room. "This bag belongs here, and this..." Suddenly, someone knocked on his door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me, Wren." Scathach's voice came from outside.

Wrendell continued to focus on organizing his clothes. "The door isn't locked. Come in if you want."

Scathach entered the room, noticing that Wrendell seemed normal and lacked any trace of the Light Reflector Mirror. It was likely that the mirror was hiding somewhere in this memory, aiming to instill despair in Wrendell.

However, Wrendell appeared perfectly fine. She was certain of that.

"You're not asleep yet, Wren?" Scathach asked, repeating the same words as that day.

"Yeah, Scath. What's up?"

"Nothing..." Suddenly, Scathach's voice wavered.

Wrendell immediately picked up on this. "What's wrong? Are you already missing me? I'll call you when I get to school."

Scathach did not respond. Instead, she just wanted to take a good look at her

spirited brother who was free from the burdens of revenge.

Wrendell raised an eyebrow. "What? Did I hit a nerve?"

She smiled in relief. "If you charmed more girls with your smooth talk, you

probably wouldn't still be single, would you?"

"Scath! We agreed not to mention that!" Wrendell pouted like a child.

Both siblings wore smiles on their faces.

...

A knock echoed at the door of the mansion. It was late, and Nalani got up groggily. "Honey, someone is knocking."

The knocking grew louder. At that moment, Daryl felt a sense of unease.
