Chapter 353
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 353
âMr. Graham!â
âThe day before yesterday, you picked up a man and a woman. Who were they?â
âMr. Graham, why are you asking me this?â
In the same residential area, Frankie was sitting in the study working with a cynical smile on his face.
His phone was placed on the table with the speakerphone on.
Even though his job position was not as high as Travisâ, Fabian was his boss. Thus, the president still had to treat him with respect out of consideration of his boss.
âIâm just curious about the people who are worth a personal greeting from you!â Travis replied with a
smile.
âThe woman is called Melody Stone. Sheâs a senior shareholder in the House of Representatives. The
man is Nash Calcraft, whoâs a friend of Melody!â Frankie said.
âNash Calcraftâ¦â

Travis repeated Nashâs name and felt that it sounded rather familiar. After a moment of silence, he asked, âIs he from Universal Group too?â
Frankie responded, âThatâs right.â
Travis continued to ask, âWho is he? What level is his position?â
Frankie chuckled. âMr. Graham, there are so many people in Universal Group. How do you expect me to remember everyone? Why donât you ask the HR department?â
âAlright, sorry for disturbing you!â
Travis hung up the phone.
After a moment of thought, he called the HR manager.
âMr. Graham⦠why did you call me?â the manager asked nervously.
âMr. Wright, look up a man called Nash Calcraft for me!â
âSure, Mr. Graham⦠Please wait a moment!â
Mr. Wright opened his laptop and keyed in Nashâs name into the system.
âMr. Graham, the system shows that there is no such person!â
âAre you sure that Nash does not exist in Universal Group?â Travis asked.
âMy system has second-level software. The most it can do is check the information of S-rank positions. Any information about positions above the S-rank has to be checked on a first-level software system!â
âAlright, Iâll try Ms. Larson, then!â Travis hung up the phone and called the director of human
resources.
âHello, Mr. Graham!â A clear and sweet voice came from the other end of the phone.
âMs. Larson, look up information about Nash Calcraft for me!â
âIâm sorry, Mr. Graham, but today is a weekend!â Ms. Larson refused.
âDoes it take that much time to look up a person?â Travisâ face turned cold. After all, he was the vice president of the company, so how dare a director disobey his order?
âPlease wait a moment, Mr. Graham!â
Ms. Larson responded respectfully and randomly tapped on her keyboard. âThere is no such person, Mr. Graham.â
Travisâ lips curled into a smile. âThank you. I wonât take up your weekend anymore.â
âYouâre welcome, Mr. Graham.â
Ms. Larson responded with a smile.
In the office of Universal Groupâs director of human resources, Jennifer suppressed a smile on her face. âYouâre just the vice president. You sit on your ass all day long but expect people to treat you with respect! I hope you get in trouble with Nash so that he can teach you a lesson when the time
comes!â
âMs. Larson, what are you mumbling about?â
Her secretary was packing up the documents as she whispered to her.
Jennifer smiled. âItâs nothing⦠Letâs get off work so I can treat you to Red Lobster!â
It was the weekend, but they had received a notice from the general manager asking to make Nashâs work permit immediately. Thus, they had to come to the company to work overtime.
At this moment, Travis called his cousin.
After Queenie learned of the situation, she said with a cold expression, âSince he isnât a senior executive of Universal Group⦠Iâll find someone to destroy him!â
Travis reminded her, âThis guy knows people in the House of Representatives, so youâd better make sure he doesnât know that itâs you behind it!â
Queenie chirped, âGot it!â
