Chapter 419
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 419
Professor Law began leading the team farther into the tomb.
Meanwhile, Nash and the others had made their way out of the swamp.
They removed their mud-covered raincoats and left them by the road before continuing their journey.
About a hundred yards in front of them was a long wall with a half-opaque crystal door on it.
Nash tried opening the door, but it did not budge even the slightest inch. It seemed to have taken root in the ground.
He summoned his true energy into his fist and punched the door, but it still did not move. âWhat is this material? Itâs so toughâ¦â
He had packed at least 250 pounds worth of force into that blow, but the door did not even budge an inch.
âThis is a juggernaut stone door⦠Thereâs one in the Museum of Exotic Stones in Capiton as well!
âThe juggernaut stone door currently located at Capiton was excavated from the ruins of Usun Kingdom!â
Bradley lit himself a cigarette as he talked.
Nico gulped. âSo, does that make this a massive diamond rock?â
Bradley smiled. âYes, you can think of it that way⦠But this juggernaut stone door is much more valuable than any diamonds⦠You can even go so far as to say itâs a priceless treasure!â
âOh my goodness! Weâre going to be rich! Weâre going to be rich!â
Nico was so excited he began spinning in circles.
Bradley said calmly, âThe juggernaut stone door is six feet long, four feet wide, and weighs 25 tonnes. Even if we ignore the fact that most of it is wedged inside the wall now, we still wouldnât be able to take this with us even if we managed to get it outâ¦â
The smile on Nicoâs face slowly disappeared. âThen, how did they even manage to move it in the first place?â
Bradley said somewhat impatiently, âWhy on earth do you have so many questions to ask? Hurry up and find the switch⦠The door will only open if you press the correct switch!â
Nico gave him an embarrassed smile before he began searching alongside everyone else for the switch.
Nash placed a hand against the juggernaut stone door. Countless waves of emotion washed over him as well.
While the team forced their eyes wide open and searched far and wide for the switch, the members of Professor Lawâs team had solemn expressions on their faces.
There were hundreds of thousands of mounds of soil in the location they were in.
These mounds of soil were squirming. It looked like something was trying to force its way out from the soil.
âCould it be deathworms?â
A slightly fearful look appeared on Old Hereraâs face.
Professor Law drew a breath. âI think thatâs highly possible⦠Get the gasoline and lighter readyâ¦â
Old Herera yelled at his men, âGet the gasolineâ¦â
The grave robbers first poured gasoline on the ground, and then they lit it on fire.
Soon, deathworms clawed their way out from the ground.
The deathworms beneath the mounds of soil clawed their way upward, and there were so many of them. They were clumped together in groups, which made it difficult to discern one from the other. It was a disgusting sight to behold.
The deathworms crawled toward them, and they moved so quickly that it seemed like they were merely flitting shadows.
Coming into contact with these deathworms meant à definite death.
Everyone was so afraid that their faces turned deathly pale. They nearly lost their minds.
Thankfully, the fire stopped the deathworms from coming nearer.
âQuick, letâs leave before the fire goes out!â
Professor Law yelled loudly.
Everyone immediately took off in the opposite direction.
The gasoline soon ran out, and the deathworms claimed every inch of available land.
One of the younger men turned around to take a look, and he got so scared that he pissed his pants.
They were experienced grave robbers, but they had never seen deathworms like these, which were usually only found in massive tombs like this one.
Meanwhileâ¦
Nash and the others could not find the switch to operate the juggernaut stone door, no matter how hard they tried.
âThatâs weird⦠Where on earth is the switch?â
Bradley could not stop himself from frowning.
Nash said calmly, âThe stone wall might very well be the trigramâs ley line of light⦠The switch might be in the swamp!â
He dashed back toward the swamp after finishing his sentence.
When he reached the swamp, he activated his Third Eye and looked into the sludge.
A group of eel-tailed catfish were lying atop a one-foot-long stone pillar.
The corner of Nashâs lips curved upward slightly as he delivered a blow that formed a path
within the sludge. He then jumped toward the stone pillar.
