Chapter 464
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 464
âNo, itâs not possible.â Nash quickly dismissed Shermanâs speculation. While he might know about a dozen Profound Reality Realm experts, he knew not a single Mystique Loyalty Realm expert apart from his senior martial brother, Francis.
He guarded the Phoenix Island, and Nash had only communicated with him over the phone. Francis would not have had the time to help him protect Hera.
Shermanâs eyes narrowed. âThen thereâs only one possibility. Heâs somehow connected to your family.â
Nash glanced at Sherman. There was a tiny possibility to that claim, but he quickly dismissed it. âIf thatâs the case, theyâd definitely come out to see me.â
This was considering he had already found himself trusted allies. Why would this person hide themselves instead? Rather, they should come up to him to discuss the plan for revenge.
âNever mind, letâs not discuss this anymore. Thanks for your help this time. You should go back to the Skye family. Iâll be staying in Jonesville for a while.â
Nash did not want to dwell on complicated matters. At the very least, he was sure the hidden expert was an enemy rather than a friend, which was a good thing for him.
âTake care.â Sherman bade him farewell with a nod before turning and leaving without looking back.
At this moment, Harrison and his wife, along with Hera, emerged from the factory.
Nash opened the car door and got out. âJupiter, youâve been working all night. Go back and get some rest.â
âAlright, Iâll go home, take a nap, and continue the investigation later.â Jupiter yawned and fastened his seatbelt.
Angelica had already fallen asleep against the car window in the back seat.
âNash, any progress?â A weary-looking Lauren asked impatiently as she approached. Hera and Harrison both looked at Nash intently, eager to know who set the fire.
âThe surveillance footage in the control room was deleted. We found three suspicious individuals on the maintenance team. Theyâre all technicians transferred from the headquarters.â Nash revealed all the information Jupiter had uncovered.
âHera, were we the ones who transferred them over for the maintenance role?â Lauren asked, brows furrowed.
Hera nodded in response. âYes, the control room is critical to the entire production lineâs operation. I only used the people you provided.â
âMr. Jacobs and your grandfather have known each other for nearly 30 years. He watched Baroque and Rococo grow. I donât think itâs him,â Harrison stated firmly.
âWell, that may not be the case. Your own older brother used some pretty ruthless methods against us when he was trying to seize the family inheritance,â Lauren retorted, giving Harrison a pointed look.
âItâs different. My grandfather and Mr. Jacobs served together in the military for several years. They were comrades who faced life and death together,â Harrison argued.
âHave you heard that money makes the mare go?â Lauren shot Harrison a glare.
âI donât believe Mr. Jacobs is the type to forget loyalty for money,â Harrison insisted.
Hera could not help but smile wryly at their argument. âMom, Dad, please stop arguing and go rest for a bit.â
âRest? We canât rest now. A major overseas client is coming today, and they specifically requested to speak with the highest-ranking representative from Baroque,â Harrison replied, his exhaustion suddenly lifting.
He looked at Lauren and said, âWife, you should go back and rest. Iâll handle the meeting with this client.â
âIâll go with you. I heard this person can be quite difficult.â Lauren, was not entirely confident in Harrisonâs abilities when it came to business.
