Chapter 521
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 521
Hera raised a brow. âSpeak up, or I might just hang up!â
âH-Hera, my sister,â Helenaâs weak voice sounded from the other end of the phone.
Hera was taken aback by Helena calling her sister, but she could also tell that her voice was very weak. Brows furrowed, she asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
âKai⦠Kai is dying⦠Can you please ask Nash to save him?â Helenaâs voice was choked with sobs as tears streamed down her face.
âNash isnât here, and even if he were, he wouldnât save him. Have your no conscience about the things you guys have done?â Hera remarked
coldly.
âHera⦠Please, Iâm begging youâ¦â Helenaâs voice became even
weaker, as if she was struggling to breathe.
Hera was puzzled and asked, âWhatâs happening to you?â
There was a clatter. It sounded like the phone had dropped to the
floor.
âOh, why did you take off the oxygen mask?â A nurse who had been. checking the ward rushed in and quickly placed the oxygen mask.
back on Helenaâs face. She then saw the phone on the floor. Upon
picking it up, she asked, âAre you the patientâs family?â
Hera nodded and said. âI amâ¦â
âWhatâs going on with you people? Why isnât anyone here to take care of the patient?â the nurse asked.
Hera was not aware that Helena had just been admitted to the
hospital and asked, âWhat happened to her?â
Despite the conflicts between her and Helena, she was, after all, her blood family. Hearing that Helena was lying in the hospital without. anyone to care for her stirred some sympathy in Hera.
The nurse went to the counter to look for the patient records but could not find them. âI donât know whatâs wrong with her. Sheâs in ward 7 on the third floor of the Peopleâs Hospital. You can come and see for yourselves.â
With that, the nurse ended the call and placed the mobile phone on
the bedside table.
Hera turned to her father and mother, saying, âKai and Helena are in
trouble. Theyâre both in the hospital, and it seems like Kai is in critical
condition. She asked me to get Nash to save him.â
She was not particularly concerned about whether Kai survived or not,
but Helena was her blood relative.
Harrison put down his teacup and said, âLetâs go to the hospital and
see whatâs going on.â
Lauren agreed. âHera, call Nash. Ask him to come to the hospital as
well if heâs free.â
The three of them left together.
Melody said to Ken, âTake care of Finn. Iâll go protect them.â
Ken nodded in agreement.
Hera tried calling Nash, but his phone was engaged.
Nash was at Tannerâs clinic and was currently on the phone with Walter, who was pleading desperately with him. However, Nash was feeling impatient, and his tone reflected it.
âMr. Watson, Iâve made it clear that Iâm currently treating someone else! Is your child more important than everyone elseâs children? Do you think your grandsonâs life is more precious than theirs?â
Nashâs words left Walter speechless. He had no choice but to say in a polite and friendly manner, âDr. Calcraft, please let me know when youâre available. Iâll come to pick you up.â
Nash did not want to waste any more time and simply hung up the call.
Mireille and Larry were already in turmoil, and the people waiting in line kept their heads down. They were afraid to meet Nashâs gaze.
This was because the person who called Nash just now Watson, the wealthiest man in Jonford! Who would not treat. the utmost respect?
This young man not only disrespected him with his tone but also dared to hang up on him. What was more, Walter had not shown any signs of anger.
After hanging up the call, Nash noticed two missed calls from Hera.
He was about to return the call when she called him again for the
third time.
The seven long needles in the young manâs head had stopped
trembling. Nash put his phone on speaker and asked gently while manipulating the golden needles, âHera, whatâs going on?â
Hera hurriedly said, âHoney, where are you? When will you be
available?â
