Chapter 998
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 998
Felicity bit her lip and lowered her head. She was so nervous that she
dared not look back at Jaxon.
Nash stood up and walked over. âJaxon, youâre here just in time. Letâs
have a drink together!â
Felicity was Nashâs cousin, so, of course, he must help her this time
âThe Light guides. Priests donât drink alcohol!â Jaxon said gently.
âWine and meat pass through the gut, but the Light remains in the heart!â Nash grabbed Jaxonâs wrist and walked to another table for a seat. He then opened a can of beer and placed it in front of Jaxon.
âCould I have tea instead?â Jaxon asked awkwardly.
âIced tea or green tea?â
Finn picked up two large bottles of iced black tea and green tea from
behind.
Ken took a disposable cup and said, âI think Jaxon would prefer green
tea!â
Finn unscrewed the bottle cap and poured it for Jaxon. He then picked some ingredients and grilled them on the barbecue.
Eric picked up the wine glass and said, âNashy has recovered, and Master Cillian has broken through to the Mystique Loyalty realm.
Today is a double celebration. We must drink to this!â
Nash smiled and said, âThe main purpose of today is to celebrate
Yoyoâs birthday!â
Eric glanced at the little girl and said with a hearty smile, âThatâs three happy things to celebrate. We wonât go home until we get drunk!â
Nash said happily, âLetâs wish Yoyo a happy birthday for this first
toast!â
The women at the other table also raised their glasses.
Hera put Yoyo on the stool and opened a carton of milk for her.
âHappy birthday!â
People at the two tables looked at Yoyo and shouted in unison.
Yoyoâs eyes were red. She held the carton of milk with her two little hands and said, âThank you, uncles, aunts, brothers, and sisters!â
Eric asked in confusion, âYoyo, tell me who among us are the uncles
and aunts and who are the brothers and sisters?â
Yoyo glanced at the two tables with her bright eyes. She said with two dimples on her face, âYouâre all uncles and aunts!â
Winnie clasped her hands together and pretended to be angry. âYoyo,
Iâm still young! Iâm more like a sister to you!â
Yoyo said in a childish voice, âIf I call you sister, will you call them
uncles and aunts with me?â
This sentence stopped Winnie.
Everyone could not help but look at her with laughter.
Winnie held Ericâs arm. âI did think of him as my uncle at first.â
Nash cleared his throat. âEric and I are of the same generation. Am I like an uncle to you, then?â
âHello, Uncle Nash! Hello, Uncle Cillian! Hello, Uncle Jaxon!â
Winnie did not care about being taken advantage of by them. Appearing young was good enough for her.
Everyone burst into laughter again.
Finn grilled vegetables like cabbages and eggplants for Jaxon.
About a hundred meters away, there was another barbecue
restaurant.
The nine tables outside were occupied.
Dozens of tall and muscular men were eating meat and drinking wine.
All they drank was white wine. There were mostly barbecued meat dishes on the table, including a roasted whole lamb.
They were dressed in Motadine fashion.
One of them, a large man with a big gold chain and clothes that could
not even cover his belly, was checking out the beautiful women in the
distance with a telescope.
There was drool on his mouth. The clothes on his chest were wet. âMr. Baden, what are you looking at?â
