Once Rejected My Alpha Stepbrother Wants Me Back Chapter 3
Once Rejected My Alpha Stepbrother Wants Me Back
Chapter 3
Josie.
I walked weakly to the emergency cloth provider cottage of the pack where I got new clothes on. Then I found my way back to the pack.
I felt weak just as the throes of pain flooded me.
When I reached the pack house, I found out my father and stepmother were not around.
Iâm thankful for that, at least. So I hurried into my room in the attic. This unfinished dark room had been where I slept since when I was four. That was after the pack doctor confirmed I wasnât a lycan wolf.
Unlike every other part
furnished.
part of the pack house decorated with fine furnishings, my room wasnât
I only had a small cot which one of my fatherâs servants threw away and I picked it for myself.
Beside the small bed, was the torn bag where I put all my clothes.
Above me, in the ceilings, I could hear the rats squawking as they ran around. Sometimes when Iâm asleep they do bite me but my healing abilities helped erase the wounds before morning.
I lit the small candle on the floor and lay on my col
I cried myself to sleep, feeling the pain of the mate I lost. My ruined dreams.
I turned on my bed as a loud gasp escaped my lips. Unintentionally, tears forcefully left my eyes as I felt something hit my stomach.
âGet up! Slave.â
Hearing that familiar voice of my stepmother, I shot to my feet instantly and bowed my head before the Luna of our pack.
âGood morningâ¦â I tried to greet her but she held my hair, craning my head back. My eyes sprang up to hers.
âHow dare you throw your filthy self at my son?â She whispered with venom.
Her hold on my hair was bringing forth tears in my eyes.

âIâ¦Iâ¦â I tried to speak but she smacked me hard on the face.
âAshton will be the last person to mate with you. Loser.â She said.
While holding my hair, she pulled me to my feet and spatâ¦
âGo out there and serve the council.â
I wobbled on my feet as she pushed me to the door.
Goddess save me, I hate serving those councilmen. What do I do to avoid their hungry stares?
I went outside, heading to my fatherâs conference room in the pack house.
On my way, I spotted Ashton going into the conference room as well.
My heart began thudding against my chest again. I donât want to see him.
I tried to avoid it but as I turned I found my stepmother walking towards the direction.
I jerked back around and half jogged and half ran into the kitchen where I carried the tray of pastries to the conference room.
âThatâs great news.â I heard one of the council members say but the words were directed to Ashton.
âThank you.â Ashtonâs baritone voice slipped into my ears and I felt my wolf whining.
âSo, when will you be leaving?â Another council member asked.
âTomorrow, everyone,â Ashton said.
Afterward, my father applauded him, and then Ashton left.
I was almost done serving when Mr. Warren, the packâs barrister made me trip when I wanted to live.
The man had tried to force himself on me to which I refused..
I stood clumsily, dusting myself when the men snickered.
When I came outside, I saw my stepmother with none other than Lena.
I didnât know what they were discussing but they separated the moment they saw me, going in
differ directions.

Rumors about how Ashton rejected me already spread in the whole pack and school.
When I was at school today, I didnât feel comfortable as everyone watched me when I passed.
If it was when I had my best friend, Iâd have found someone to console me but no. My friend leered at me as well.
Lena found a new group of friends and they seized every fleeting opportunity to mock me.
I just found out that Lena hated me like every other pack member. She was only pretending to be my friend.
âMore two bottles, please.â Someone yelled through the crowded pub, pulling me away from my
reverie,
The pub was where I made peanuts to help myself. At least, no one would openly bully me here because Madam Shaker would not allow it.
Although ninety percent of my profit went back to Madam Shaker, I didnât mind it at all.
I nodded quickly and went over to the bar to gather two beer bottles.
I walked across the small dance floor in the pub after serving the man, aiming for the bar when I heard the noise coming from outside.
Curiosity got the best of me and I turned around and saw Ashtonâs group of friends coming into the pub.
Of course, each of them had a girl or two in his arms.
Jay never stopped to amaze me. While others had two, he came in with three.
My eyes were searching through the crowd, as I wondered what the noise was for but my gaze instantly collided with Ashtonâs.
He broke his gaze away just as quickly. And I found him linking his hands with Lenaâs.
I shouldnât be looking, I cautioned myself and went to the bar.
I have been here for a long, taking record while other girls in the bar served Ashtonâs group. The pub was filled with several hum of conversations while the soft music played.
In between, I threw my gaze at Ashtonâs group and I would see Lena crawling in and out of his
arms.
This time though, my eyes met with hers and she smiled sinisterly, cupping Ashtonâs face and giving him a long kiss that made my heart singe.
âAshton! Ashton! Ashton! Câmon guys, praise our future alpha for the last time!â I heard Jay ranting.

I wondered why they were all doing this.
It was as if something was about to happen which I had no idea about.
âReally?â one of my colleagues said to the other as they came into the partition, dropping the bucket they just used in serving drinks to Ashtonâs group.
âYes. They said heâs living tomorrow too.â The first one said again, making me more curious.
Was Ashton leaving? Where to?
âGod, Iâm definitely going to miss his face around here.â The second of my colleagues said, throwing lustful gazes at Ashton!
âMe too. Heâs the first person to ever travel abroad in the whole packâ¦â
That was all I needed to hear for my heart to squeeze painfully in
my
chest.
I ran out of the partition and went into the restroom.
My heart was pounding as my mind went over their wordsâ¦
Ashton was leaving the pack. Forever?
I couldnât help but wonder.
My little moment of thought was disturbed when I heard someone banging on the door.
I pulled it open, only to see him storming into the restroom.
My heart thumped.
âWhat do you want, Jay?â I asked, stepping backward.
The pervert only had a smirk on his face.
I didnât like the look on his face. It scared me but I refused to let it show.
Jay walked closer to me, towering over me with his figure.
âI know youâre crying, hmm.â He hummed, his beer cup sitting perfectly on his fingers.
âI donât want to talk to you.â I spat, trying to walk away but Jay dragged my hand backward.
âI can make your pains go away, only if you let me take pleasures from your body.â He whispered into my ears, my heart jerking.
I know what he wanted to do. Jay was notorious for humiliating women who rejected him.
I knew he had come for me too.

I tried to jerk my hand away from his but he didnât let me.
Jay pushed me against the wall, wanting to bring his lips down on mine but I used that momentum to bite him hard on the lips.
My blood boiled as I made my way out of the restroom while Jay was moaning behind.
Stomping outside, my eyes clashed with Ashtonâs.
He was just coming over to the restroom.
I paused, my eyes holding his in hopes he would help. But he heard the moan coming from the
restroom.
âYou? Youâre a man in the restroom?â He grunted, his face squeezed in disgust. âI wanted to find something good in you but no. Youâd always be a whore.â He shook his head, glaring at me.
Sneering at me, he walked away.
I couldnât even defend myself. I only slumped on the floor, clutching my heart.
The next day, Theard everyone in the pack house whispering their goodbyes to one person.
And that was Ashton.
I lunged at the window, looking down as I saw his luggage being put into the car.
Ashton took one look around the pack house, then he went into the car and they zoomed off.
Long after Ashton left, I was in the bathroom, taking my bath. When I finished, I toweled myself, coming into my room.
To my surprise, I saw someone leaving my room.
âWho are you?â I barked, rushing to see who that was. I pulled my door open and looked into the ballway but it was too dark for me to see the person.
My eyes darted around as I worried about what the person was looking for.
Who could that be?
What did they want?
Why was the person in my room?
These were the questions I couldnât find answers to.
