[Chapter {2}]
The Alpha's Vampire
I woke up to the sun rays that were coming in through my window. Even though I am immune to sun it doesn't mean I like it that much.
I checked the time, 6:30am. I have to admit my mom was right about one thing, I did feel refreshed but not in anyway calm. But I guess it was expected, this is the first time I'll be attending a school with humans and stuff. I hope it goes well.
I took a hot shower to make me feel more human and less dead. I did my hair in an I just woke up from bed way and well it worked since my white hair was naturally messy. Then I picked out black skinny ripped jeans a white long sleeved tee and a black shirt with the buttons undone. I pulled the sleeve of my inner to my elbow and paired everything with my black ankle boots.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I had to admit I looked hot in a vampirish way. Ehh, I am a vampire after all. Carrying my black school bag I stuffed everything I needed in my black school bag and made my way downstairs.
"Good morning Mom."
"Morning honey," my mom replied from where she was working. Not human work though, vampire work.
I went to the fridge and brought out a container of blood. Relax they weren't humans they were animals. Since my dad was a human my mom feels guilty if we drink human blood. I have to admit human blood is more satisfying and refreshing than animals but animals blood also keeps us alive so I could deal with it.
"Callum do you want to take my car, it'll make you look more human," mom asked.
"Nah I'll run, I'm nervous anyway so it'll help clear my mind."
"There's nothing to be afraid of Callum, now go in there and make mama proud or as I said earlier, I'll whoop your butt."
"Whatever you say mom, bye."
"Bye honey your stronger than you think you are ok," she said through our vampire mind link.
The school was a thirty minutes walk for humans so it'll take me about five Minutes. I made sure no one was looking before I sped off to school. Once it came into I searched for a hidden place I could stop in. I spotted a hidden tree and went to stop there running pass some girl who who yelped because of the wind.
Well that was refreshing I thought stretching. The school was huge and already filled with students chatting with their friends or doing anything they felt like doing.
With a deep breath I made my way to the school filled with humans. Most of them were looking at me as I passed probably because they couldn't recognize my face. Their gazes made me feel uncomfortable so I lowered my head and continued walking in what I'm guessing is the principal's office.
After being handed my schedule I started to search for my locker. It was in the seniors section which was the topmost floor of the large three storey building. Locker 335 I whispered quietly as I searched for my lockers.
I smiled a triumphant smile and put the things I didn't need in it and taking out my books for first period which was history. Vampires were good with history so hopefully I'll ace this if there was even anything to ace.
I looked down at the map I was given trying to find my classroom and did not see the person coming towards my direction only looking up in time to see my self crash into someone and fall on my butt.
"Watch were you're going," the handsome guy in front of me growled. He was probably about 6ft tall, lean and muscular with peculiar hazel eyes and nice dirty blond hair.
"Nate be nice," the gorgeous blonde who I had just noticed was clinging onto the guy's arm said.
"Well he should watch were he's fucking going," he growled again glaring at me.
I flinched slightly and mumbled an apology getting up to quickly pack my books.
"Nate give the guy a break," a brown haired guy said. He was not bad looking either, infact none of them were.
"I haven't seen you around, are you new," the brown haired guy asked,
I replied with a nod.
"Cool I'm Matt," he said as I took his outstretched palm.
"Callum," I replied with a curt nod.
"You're awfully pail don't you tan," the gorgeous girl asked me while the black haired boy beside Matt stared me up and down.
"No, I don't really like the sun," I reply and internally snorted at how true that was.
"Well, it was nice meeting you but we have to go to class now," Matt said.
"Watch were you're going next time freak," he hissed in my ear when he was sure his friends weren't watching.
Geez what is his problem, I ran into him it's not like it's the end of the world I muttered to myself.
When I finally got to my class my teacher told me to introduce myself then I went to sit at the corner.
"You're really pretty," the girl beside me said making me jump slightly and face her.
"Isn't being pretty something associated with girls," I asked eyeing her carefully.
"You're beating most girls at being pretty so in this case I'm not wrong."
"Well thank you ehhh for the compliment."
"Want to sit with me during lunch," she asked.
"Sure," I replied since I didn't really want to be know as the loner kid who sat all on his own and drowned himself in self pity. Trust me I'm familiar with that and it'll just make you susceptible to bullying.
By the time lunch time rolled by I had already know a lot about Eliza, she was a big talker but not in an annoying way. I just listened to her as she talked throughout all of the classes she had with me.
I was putting my books in my locker when someone suddenly gripped my shoulders, I let out a high pitched scream just to turn around and see Eliza laughing so hard she couldn't even get enough air into her lungs.
When her laughter had subsided she took my hands and led me to the cafeteria. She took her own food while I just told her I wasn't hungry which wasn't a lie, I wasn't even thirsty for blood. She grabbed my hand and led me to a table where two people where already seated.
The blonde there is Britney while the redhead is Justin my best friend and also Britney's boyfriend. Now that you're here I won't always feel like the third wheel Eliza said as she looked in disgust at Justin and Britney who where currently in a heavy make out session.
"Gotta go for cheerleading practice, bye babe," she said kissing Justin one more time before sauntering off.
"So you're new, aye," Justin said trying to make a conversation with me. I just nodded in reply, not keen on keeping the conversation going.
"Name."
"Callum."
He nodded slowly as if trying to process the information. Soon enough we were half way into lunch with Eliza talking animatedly and I and Justin listening.
Suddenly Eliza had gone quiet staring dreamily at something in a distance. I turned my head to look at who it was and saw that it was the guy I bumped into earlier. I can't really remember what his girlfriend called him though.
"You'll be getting this look a lot Callum, Eliza here is absolutely obsessed with Nathan packer. Most girls are," Justin said slurping on his drink while Eliza just spared him a total of two seconds to glare at him before returning her dreamy gaze to Nathan.
"Why are girls obsessed with him, he seems like a dick to me," I said casually referring to what transpired between us earlier.
Suddenly Eliza mouth was hanging open before she snapped out of her daze and tried to fix herself. I stared confusedly at her before I finally felt the presence behind me.
Suddenly I was hoisted by the collar of my shirt coming face to face with Nathan packer.
"So you think I'm a dick huh" he asked.
"I mean you do have one but wait what, how did you hear us from over there," I asked narrowing my eyes. Something about this guy was off and I've been feeling this strange sensation ever since I ran into him this morning.
"That's for me to know and for you to shut up," he growled literally and I almost laughed at his childish insult.
Before I could protest not that he would have been listened to me or anything, I was roughly dragged out of the cafeteria. He came to a stop in front of an empty classroom pushing me in and locking the classroom door after him.
"What are we doing here," I asked wearily since all he was doing was staring at me.
"Who were those people you were seating with earlier."
I raised an eyebrow but answered anyway. "My friends Eliza and Justin, why."
"Does any of them like you or do you like any of them." he asked glaring so hard I'm surprised I wasn't a pile of ash already.
"Justin has a girlfriend and Eliza is pretty much obsessed with you, didn't you notice her stare," I asked now glaring at him. Eliza was being very oblivious about the whole thing so he can't tell me he missed it.
"I noticed her stare but I didn't feel the need to acknowledge it since I get it from most girls."
"Corky asshole, she likes you and that's all you have to say," I yelled in annoyance which quickly turned to fright when he began taking menacing steps towards me his face burning with rage.
"Are you pushing me to like someone else," he asked in low frightening voice.
"N-no I just f-f-felt that you should have at least acknowledged it," I replied leaning far into the wall wishing it'll just open up and swallow me. I was far too used to this feeling of helplessness.
"Let me clear things up a little bit, I don't want to see you with anyone who wants more than a friendly relationship with you am I understood."
This guy's got to be kidding me I thought deciding to voice out my thought.
"You have got to be kidding me, so you get a girlfriend and I remain single how is my love life even any of your business."
"Clara isn't my girlfriend first of all and two your love life is completely my business."
"If you guys aren't dating then why were you guys so cozy this morning and how in the world is me dating anyone your business."
"What are you jealous," he smirked.
"What no, hell no," I said trying not to choke on air at his suggestion.
His smirk left his face and his eyes wavered slightly.
"Why aren't you jealous, don't you like me, everybody does," he asked in a really soft voice.
"Look you're gorgeous and everything but I can't like a person guy or girl who's as immensely corky and too much of an asshole as you are," I replied watching his reaction. He closed his eyes a look of pain etched on his features before hardening them back and returning his gaze to me.
"Why do you even want me to like you, so you could break my heart and make fun of me while at it, huh," I asked glaring at him.
"No it's just that I......" he trailed off.
"You know what, never mind," he said voice hardening.
"I just don't want to see anyone who is interested in more than friendship around you if not you'll regret it," he growled in an animalistic way.
He looked at me as if considering something and before I could even blink, he was closing the distance between us rapidly. Not even giving me time to protest, he slammed his lips on mine and started to kiss me roughly.
I placed my hands on his chest trying to shove him away but he didn't even flinch instead he caught my wrist and placed my hands above my head.
"I'm not going to stop kissing you until you kiss me back," he said in between kisses pressing his whole body against me. I grudgingly started to kiss him back but roughly to show that I was angry. He seemed to get lost in the kiss for a second and I used that opportunity to free my wrist from his grip and shoved him as hard as I could.
"You don't just kiss someone without their permission, what the heck is your problem dude," I asked wiping at lips furiously.
I don't even know the guy and here he is kissing me like he's my long lost boyfriend. If this is how human relationships work then I'd rather be on my own thank you very much. Who does he think he is deciding who I get to be with and what not.
"And for your information, I'll be with who I want to be with Nathan and there's nothing you can do about it," I growled and angrily walked out of the classroom. Who did he think he was threatening me, I'm a freaking vampire for crying out loud not that he knew anyway.
I returned to the table ignoring the whole cafeteria's curious stare as I thought about the kiss and how much I enjoyed it and how fucked up that was.
I could feel eyes on me and sure enough Nathan was watching me and his eyes looked sad. Infact his entire posture looked sad. I ignored the pang of guilt I was feeling and left the cafeteria just as the bell went.
The rest of the day went by quickly and I tried as hard as I could not to think about Nathan and the kiss. Though he was acting really weird around me I decided to just forget about it. I mean one minute he's being a jerk the next he's telling me not to date anyone and before I know it he's kissing me and I just met him today.
So much for the drama free life I was hoping for I thought to myself feeling people's eyes on me as I walked through the Halls of the school making my way back home. They were probably wondering what the hell happened in the cafeteria.
Well I'm just as confused as they are I thought as a frown made its way to my face. I decided to just ignore everything that happened today and maybe to try this human thing all over tomorrow and hopefully with less drama.
*****
Some of you might think it's going too fast but the point I'm trying to prove is that Nathan doesn't know how to properly love someone. You'll realize that in further chapters. He thinks being possessive and controlling will get him what he wants (in this case what he refuses to admit that he wants). Anyways if the story is too fast for your liking, forgive me, I wasn't that much of a writer when I started writing this book so the first few chapters kind of have poor plots. I really can't change most of it now so just bear with me and read further, it gets less cliche.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter though, comment your opinions too. Don't forget to vote if you enjoyed the chapter.
Much love and peace out.
