[Chapter {5}]
The Alpha's Vampire
This chapter is dedicated to JayJayNC because she's a really amazing person.
Callum's POV
We were currently at gym and I have to say, this isn't one of my liked classes. I'm a vampire and it's quite easy to comprehend that heat bothers us a lot which explains my hatred for gym. Well that and the fact that I was a wuss who couldn't really care less about sports.
Right now I was on the bleachers with Eliza and a girl named Layla and we were currently watching the football players. Five minutes later Eliza and Layla excused themselves to go to were I wasn't really paying attention to.
Our main motive of watching them practice was to sort of encourage Justin since he's our friend and all but if I'm being honest, my eyes has only been on one person since I got here and you can make a really lucky guess. That's right it's Nathan freaking Packer.
He looked so graceful out there even in his helmet and funny looking football clothes. You could tell he was a terrific player from the way he kept stealing the ball from the guys and then successfully dribbling them when they tried to retrieve it.
I was too focused on gorgeous Nathan and how good he was at football to notice the ball flying straight into my face until it hit me. The pain was already fading, thank you vampire power. I'm not sure I'd have liked walk around with a headache.
I looked up to see who had hit me and saw three jocks from the football team laughing at me.
"Sorry fag didn't see you there," the tallest and most muscular of the three said chuckling.
"Yeah, sorry faggot, now pass us the ball would you," the raven in the group said smirking.
Suddenly his smirk was wiped off his face and I looked to see a seething Nathan trying to break free from the hold Justin and Linc had on him and they didn't seem to be doing a good job. Just how strong was this guy.
Nathan finally released himself from their hold and picked the two guys up getting in their faces while the third guy back off.
"If you ever touch Callum again, I'll make sure you loose all of your body parts, got it," he sneered.
They nodding quickly and he threw them on the ground before making his way to me. He just tossed two burly guys like rag dolls and he isn't even breaking a sweat. Damn what a turn on.
"Baby, are you alright," he asked scanning my face for any injuries.
"I'm fine," I replied hitting his hands that were on my face and covering my face with my hands in embarrassment. He chuckled at my embarrassment but gave the people that were watching us warning glares.
"Why did you call me that?" I asked still embarrassed.
"Call you what?"
"You know what, why did you call me baby?" I cried but then lowered my head because of how embarrassed I was feeling.
"What, you didn't like it," he asked the sad look back on his features.
Damn this guy, "no it's not that, it's just that there where a lot of people around."
"I don't give a fuck about what people think Cal."
I just nodded. Aren't you going back to your game I asked realizing that he wasn't gracefully running around the field.
"Practice is almost over so there's no use. By the way, you're coming to the game on Friday right."
"I wasn't really planning to, not a sports fan."
"Please come, for my sake please," he asked pleading.
I couldn't really resist the look he was giving me so I gave in.
"Great," he yelled then he told me to wait a second and he was off to the boys locker room.
After about five minutes, he came out holding a football jersey with his name on it.
"I want you to wear this to the match ok."
I shook my head and asked. "What will you be wearing then."
"I've got another one Cal, now promise me you'll wearing this," he said giving me those eyes I just couldn't resist. His lips formed into a pout and slightly trembling.
"Fine, I promise," I replied thinking, just what have I gotten myself into.
"Hell yeah," he yelled tackling me into a hug thereby cutting off my supply of oxygen.
"Nathan you're crushing me," I mumbled from where my face was being smashed in his chest.
"Oops sorry," he apologized blushing slightly.
"Sooo, see you on Friday he asked," rubbing his neck nervously.
"Yeah sure," I replied. He gave me small smile before jogging to catch up with his friends.
After gym the rest of my classes flew by quickly and now I was bidding Eliza, Justin, Luca and that Layla girl goodbye as I got in my car and drove home.
When I arrived at my house, I could feel this nagging feeling in my gut and staring at the house I knew something was wrong.
I tried to go in but there was a force around the house. Before I could comprehend what was happening, hands grabbed me and I was hurled inside the house.
Nathan's POV
I don't know why I had this feeling that something had happened to Callum. I remember my mom saying something about you being able to sense when your mate was in danger.
The feeling I was having now wasn't settling well with me so I told my friends to go back without me making the excuse of a run.
Luckily Callum's sweet scent was still present so I followed it all the way to a tower looking house.
I rushed to get in but was thrown back, it was like some sort of force field was guarding the place.
I sniffed the air the air and it smelt funny. Looking at the force field, I realized it wasn't something a human could do.
What was going on.
Back to Callum
I felt a strange presence, a presence that wasn't there before and I'm sure my mom and the other two vampires here could feel it.
Since my mom and I were tied up, our captives took it upon themselves to check on the slight intrusion.
Claire and Greg were sent by the clan to spy on us and which is stupid really since they were the reasons we left in the first place.
"It's just some kid," Greg confirmed.
"What do they look like," I said slightly panicking, I haven't told anyone in school where I live so who could it be.
"It's a boy, he's tall got brown hair and from what my eyes can spot from here hazel eyes," Claire described.
That description only fit one person, Nathan.
"You guys have to get out of here and let us go, he's a human and it won't take him long to be suspicious," I said although at the back of my mind I knew he already was.
They seemed to think about it for a minute before untying us and jumping through the back window on the top floor making sure Nathan didn't spot them. Even though the house was pretty high, it was nothing for a vampire.
I took a deep breath before I answered the door. Claire and Greg had taken down the force field and I didn't know how I was going to explain that to Nathan.
I opened the to see Nathan pacing around his hands in his pocket.
Immediately he heard the door open he rushed to my side.
"Are you alright, what happened, did anyone hurt you, I'll fucking kill them if they did," he said scanning my body for injuries like he had done in school.
I released myself from him and put some distance between us.
"What are you doing here Nathan and did you know were I lived."
"I sensed you were in danger and followed your scent and it lead me here."
"Scent?" I asked.
"Yes, you're not human are you," he asked looking me in the eye as if daring me to lie to him.
"And how do you know," I said crossing my arms in defense.
"The force field that was around your house could not have been created by a human."
"And how do you know so much about a 'supposedly' non human force field," I asked slightly scared that he had caught on.
"Because I'm not human either," he replied.
"What are you then?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him.
"A werewolf, and judging by your faint scent, I'll say you are a vampire Callum," Nathan answered daring me to challenge him and since he was not wrong, I just shrugged in reply.
_______
"So you're a werewolf huh," I asked still finding it hard to believe.
"And you're a vampire," he said smirking. This was all really shocking to be honest.
"Ehm," I heard my mom clear her throat.
"This is all really confusing to me but since we've cleared up the whole you are a werewolf and we are vampires situation, who if I may ask are you to my son," my mom said hands on her hip in a full mom posture.
"He's m-m-my," I stammered trying to rack my brain for what to say.
"I'm Callum's boyfriend," Nathan replied with a grin.
*****
And Nathan dropped the bomb!!!, not literally of course.
