Chapter 637 - one Day Fall For Someone

"That’s no way to talk to an angel like me," FangSu said as she sat on the bed and crossed her legs.

"Did you just refer to yourself as an angel?" Meixu scoffed. "You’d better not say that to anyone else, otherwise you would get beaten up."

FangSu frowned and said to her, "What’s wrong about me being an angel, is that wrong! Anyway, this is not important. Tell me who that man is. I’m sure he can’t be just a friend."

"You’re right, he can’t be just a friend, he can also be a colleague," Meixu said.

"No, don’t play games with me. Although you’re in the entertainment industry, I know you would never date a colleague, also, you won’t allow him to drive you home, so just spill the truth."

Meixu who was now tired of beating around the bush finally confessed.

"You know the man that dropped me off, he is Shi Qiao. He asked me out today, and I said yes. But for now, we can’t tell anyone about it until we are sure of what we are doing." Meixu replied.

"And how long until you are sure of what you’re doing?" FangSu asked.

Meixu answered back, "One or two weeks from now."

"Do you like him?" FangSu asked with a full gaze on her.

"Why not? Does it look to you that I would date who I don’t have feelings for?" Meixu said with furrowed brows.

The entertainment industry was indeed not clean, because some celebrities put up a fake relationship just to garner attention, popularity, and more works, and she knew that thought must have crossed FangSu’s mind, so she was a little unhappy about it.

"It’s actually a relief that you would one day fall for someone. So, how long have you two gone." FangSu asked excitedly.

Her question brought Meixu back to the scene of Shi Qiao kissing her cheeks and saying it was his way of telling her good night, silently. With that, she didn’t know when she blurted out, "A silent good night!"

"What? What’s that?" FangSu asked with a confused gaze because never has she heard of that before.

Meixu came back to her senses and said, "Forget it! You haven’t given us a clear reason why you decided to cancel the big birthday party you were planning for yourself."

FangSu uncrossed her legs and replied, "I already said that I wanted Junjie to be by my side on that day, but he got an emergency he couldn’t cancel. And these happened 2 weeks to my birthday. An assigned task he couldn’t turn down. He was unhappy I canceled all the plans I made just because he wouldn’t be there, but he did make it up to me after he returned."

"You really can’t do without him now," Meixu said while staring at her.

"I love him so much that I can’t. Sometimes, I just wished that I wasn’t popular, so we two can just do our thing and no one would talk. I wonder how Jia Li is holding up." FangSu said.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Meixu felt that her mentioning Jia Li out of the blue, was totally off and so she asked, "What has Jia Li got to do with his now?"

Looking her in the eyes, FangSu said with a slight smile, "My sister-in-law cane from a simple background, and coming into her family, and because of my brother, her life changed. Now, almost everyone has their eyes on her. I just hope she doesn’t get into any mess because this attention can be poisonous."

"You don’t need to worry about her, she will be fine as long as she remains herself. Many people like her for who she is, and their love and support won’t change as long as she keeps her spirit the same, and besides, Brother Hua is there to protect her." Meixu said in reply.

FangSu glanced at her with a smile before standing to her feet. "You’d better announce to the family that you are no longer single."

"I told you I won’t do that now," Meixu replied.

"I know, but you got to hurry up. But before you announce to the family about your new relationship status, why don’t you let me check out Mr. Shi for you, you know I’ve got good eyes?" FangSu said with a wink.

"I can’t believe I decided to have this conversation with you of all people!" Meixu said in an exhausted tone. She was tired of speaking to her.

FangSu put her hands on her waist and asked in an authoritative tone, "What’s wrong with me? If you don’t talk to me, do you prefer having this kind of conversation with your mother? How about I go inform her on your behalf?"

"Ya! you know I didn’t mean that. I think you’d better get going, you have stayed too long in my room, and I need to get changed out of these clothes." Meixu said as she glanced at her outfits.

FangSu glanced at her outfits and said, "Is my presence hindering you from changing out of your clothes? Tell me what you’ve got that I don’t have."

Meixu couldn’t believe her ears. She really wanted to open FangSu’s skull to see what it was filled with.

As she was not saying anything, FangSu took a few steps towards her before saying with a small smile, "I’ve got everything you’ve got, except that you have slightly bigger melons than I"

"You idiot!!!’ Meixu said angrily as she got to her feet and got ready to hit her, but FangSu just turned around and quickly escaped from the room in laughter.

"Why are you running, you shameless brat?!" Meixu asked in embarrassment. She really wasn’t expecting her to be so direct with her words, or even find trouble with her before leaving.

FangSu couldn’t stop laughing after she left Meixu’s bedroom, because of how embarrassed she was, with her remarks.

"She really didn’t see that coming...." FangSu said as she laughed out loud, as she went down the stairs, but she had to stop when she came face to face with her father, who looked like he wanted to shut her up forever, for laughing without manners.
