Chapter 115
Mated To My Sister’s Alpha Fiance
Chapter 115
Irma
âDo you really have to leave?â Skylar asks her soon-to-be boyfriend. I seriously donât get how she and
Lucas arenât dating already. Itâs becoming painfully obvious that they are both in love, yet they arenât
making the last step.
âI have to.â Lucas replies. âThe pack needs to hear that a potential war against the Deluxe pack is
coming, and even thought we are on different continents, Lucian has the ability to open portals, soâ¦
yeah. I need to warn everyone.â
Skylar looks miserable, but my sister isnât stupid enough to stop her man from leaving. Instead, she
peers up at Xavier, his father. âKeep him safe.â
Xavierâs lips twitch in amusement. âAlwaysâ
With that, Xavier, Daisy, and Lucas enter the portal. They leave Spain behind, and a smile spreads
over my lips when Jaiden and our parents walk outside of the house.
Yes, Iâm finally alone with my sister which means I can ask her for the favor I need of her: try and
convince her to open a portal to my fated mate.
And yes, I know using Skylarâs powers comes with its risks, but what can I say? Iâm tired of being
single.
âSky?â I tap her on the shoulder.
She turns around and cranes her neck to meet my eyes. My sister is a lot shorter than I am. âYes,
Irma?â
âI need a favor,â I say, looking away from her curious gaze and toward the spot where Lucas had just
disappeared. âA big
one.â
A small frown forms on Skylarâs face as she studies me. She crosses her arms as if to protect herself
from whatever I might say. âWhat is it?â
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for her response. âI want you to help me open a portal. To him.â I
donât need to specify who âhimâ is. She knows how badly I want to meet my fated mate after the
discussion at the dinner table. The longing is gnawing at me.
To my surprise, she doesnât look shocked or worried. Instead, she narrows her eyes at me and asks in
a challenging tone, âAnd why should I do that? You know there are risks involved.â
âIâm willing to take them,â I tell her. âBecause the risk of never meeting my special manâ¦of never
having him in my life is greater to me than any danger I might face.â
She looks at me for a long moment before her lips finally part in a heavy sigh. âI canât control my
powers, Irma. What if I end up sending you into the ocean or something? Our parents would murder
âUnlike you, sis, Iâm a hybrid-Iâm almost impossible to kill. So believe me when I say Iâm readyâ
Skylar purses her lips, contemplating my words. The silence that falls between us is thick and heavy,
brimming with potentialities of the future. âYouâre sure about this?â she finally asks, her eyes sweeping
over my face as if searching for an inkling of doubt.
âMore than anything,â I assure her, my gaze steady and unwavering under her scrutiny.
She shakes her head slightly, a reluctant smile creeping onto her face. âOkay, Irma. Weâll do this. But
you have to promise

me youâll be careful.â
I grin at her, feeling a rush of excitement tinged with anxious anticipation. âI promise.â

âAlright,â Skylar lowers her tone. I will try to open this portal, but letâs do it in the forest, okay? That way,
our parents wonât know whatâs going on⦠I also need an excuse if they ask where you are.â
âEh, just tell them Alpha Max must have opened a portal already because I caught the scent of
mermaids, and now Iâm trying to form an alliance with them.â
âthat could work.â Sky scratches her chin.

âIt will,â I assure her and grab her hand. Iâm too impatient to waste time in our kitchen. Come on, letâs
open already.â
that port
âAlright,â Skylar seems to have given up on me and releases a slightly defeated laugh. âLetâs get this
over with.â

We leave the house and make our way towards the forest. The sum is beginning to set, casting long,
eerie shadows across the landscape. Itâs as if even nature itself is waiting with bated breaths.
âThis seems like a good spot,â Skylar says as soon as we are far away from the house in a small
clearing surrounded by towering trees on all sides.
âYes, it looks nice. Now hurry up and open that portal!â
âOh my god, will you just chill?â Skylar rolls her eyes, but thereâs a hint of a smile on her face. âMy
magic needs a little time to workâ¦if it will work.â
âIt will,â I wink at her. âYouâre the psychic wolf and very powerful. I believe in you.â
Instead of replying, Skylar takes a deep breath, stretches out her arms, and closes her eyes in
concentration. I can almost sec the energy pulsing around her, a palpable electric tension that makes
the air around us hum.
A few seconds pass in silence, and then I feel it-a subtle shift in the air as reality is bent according to
her will. A bright light sparks into existence and then grows, creating a doorway right before e our eyes.
âOkay,â Sky murmurs as she opens her eyes. Her exhaustion is apparent, but thereâs satisfaction in
there, too-the kind that comes from knowing youâve done something impossible. âOff you go, then.â
y fated mate.
I hesitate for a moment, staring into the swirling vortex of the portal. This is it-the gateway to my f
âThanks, Sky,â I say, squeezing her hand one last time before letting go.
âI hope you know what youâre doing,â she warns softly before stepping back. âThe last time I tried to
travel somewhere, I ended up in the future.â
I grin at her. âIt will be fine.â
âI hope so,â Skylar says. âI know for certain that youâre going to meet your mate, but I donât know how
the two of you will make it back here.â
Those words surprise me. âYou know this is going to work?â
She laughs in amusement. âI had a vision of this happening. Irma. Do you really think I would send you
off if I didnât know this would work?â

I gasp.
âBut you were giving me a hard time! Why would you do that if you knew this was going to work, you
as*hole?!â
âBecause Iâm your sister, and we always give each other hell?â
âTrue,â I sigh. âWellâ¦knowing youâve seen this happen makes me feel less scared.â

She just continues to smile. âYou have nothing to worry about. Your mate is niceâ¦a tad bit
mischievous, but Iâm sure the two of you will get along just fine once you get to know him. Just be
warned: he doesnât speak English at all.â
âHe doesnât?!â
âNope,â she snorts. âHe isnât from here.â
I gulp at that. âF*ckâ¦â
âIt will all work out.
âIf you say soâ¦â
With one last look at my sisterâs amused face, I turn towards the portal and take a step forward. As
soon as I cross the threshold, I feel like Iâm being stretched and compressed all at once.
And then Iâm stumbling out from the other side of the portal and into a place that is no longer Spain.
