Chapter 136
Mated To My Sister’s Alpha Fiance
Skylar
Itâs an hour until my Luna ceremony will begin, and the atmosphere around the breakfast table isâ¦
weird.
Lucasâ parents havenât stopped smirking and smiling at me from across the table, and I have this
sinking feeling that they know that their son f*cked me in about thirty different positions yesterday.
But it isnât my fault!
Sure, I was loud, but I didnât expect it to feel so good to be f*cked in both holes! Having sex with
someone who isnât only a werewolf but a mix of demon, angel, and vampire is just too perfect. At one
point, I had an orgasm just from having Lucas bite me and get his vampiric pleasure toxins in my
system. It was pure heaven.
âAre your pancakes okay?â Lucas asks as he sits down beside me with a big plate of bacon and eggs.
âPerfect,â I tell him, my mouth full of pancakes and strawberries plucked from their garden. âThe
strawberries are really tasty.â
âIâm glad.â
Lucas munches on his own food, and I blush when I see this big grin growing on his momâs face.
âSo,â Daisy drawls as she looks between me and her son with this shitâeating grin. âAre you guys using
protection, or can I be expecting pups in about two months?â
âMom!â Lucas exclaims, face entirely red.
âWhat?â she asks. âArenât I allowed to be excited?â
Even though I know Daisy means well, I canât fight the rising heat on my face. I donât want it to show, so
I keep my eyes trained on the plate in front of me, stabbing a strawberry with more vigor than
necessary.
âStop embarrassing the kids, Daisy,â Xavier says as he reaches for a piece of toast.
âThey can handle it,â Daisy winks at me before focusing on her son once more. âSo, big day today,
huh?â
âIt is,â Lucas agrees without meeting her gaze. âSkylar will be announced as my Luna and thereâs
nothing more exciting than that happening right now. She is not pregnant, so stop looking at me with
those sparkly eyes.â
âFine, you win,â Daisy slumps her shoulders in defeat.
Since she could only have one child herself, I wonder if she is hoping for me and Lucas to have more
than oneâ¦if thatâs even possible. Lucas is a quadbrid, and I know itâs rare for pups to survive when
they are mixed with so many species.
âI have prepared two seats on the balcony,â Xavier interrupts my thoughts and smiles when I look at
him. âThe pack is all gathering outside the mansion as we speak, and itâs sunny weather, the perfect
day to announce a new Luna.â
âDonât make her more nervous, Dad,â Lucas warns. âThe more you talk about, the more frightened she
gets. If you keep it up, Skylar might run away.â
I snort. âI would never!â
Lucas just grins while his Dad studies me with a serious expression that makes me straighten up in my
chair. Even though he isnât the Alpha, he holds an air of importance, and he seems to like the effect he
has on people.
A small smile curls his l*ps. âThe pack has been without a Luna for some time now. Youâre filling an
important role, Skylar Donât take it lightly.â
I nod solemnly at Xavierâs words, swallowing against the lump in my throat. I know the weight of being
a Luna â itâs more than just being mated to the Alpha. The Luna is the mother of the pack, responsible
for its membersâ emotional wellâbeing, interâpack relations, and ensuring harmony within the pack.
âI wonât disappoint you, sir,â I assure him, looking up from my plate to meet his eyes.
âThatâs my future daughterâinâlaw,â he says, raising his mug in a toast.
After breakfast, Daisy leads me to a room where servants will prepare my makeup, hair, and dress. I
can feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach as I see the selection of white, traditional dresses worn by
the previous Lunas of the pack.
âAs the packâs second Alpha, I never wore one of these,â Daisy says in a wistful voice. âAnd while
Ldonât regret it, Iâm excited to see you wear one, Skylar. Youâre going to look beautiful.â
âYou think so?â
âI know so.â
Daisy takes my hand and leads me to the most beautiful one. Itâs made of soft silk and adorned with
intricate lace patterns along its bodice and sleeves.
âThis one would fit your body nicely,â Daisy says. âYouâre short and slimâthis dress will make you look
stylish and elegant. Do you want to try it?â
âSure,â I reply, my heart pounding in my chest as Daisy helps me slide the dress over my head. It falls
perfectly over my curves and cinches at the waist, exaggerating my petite figure. I spin around, letting
the dress billow out around me.
A gasp escapes Daisyâs l*ps when she sees me. âYou look beautiful. Just like a Luna should.â
Her words make me blush, but my mood falls a little when I hear the servants whispering behind us. Itâs
a group of young women from the pack.
One of them, a redhead with piercing green eyes, seems to be the most outspoken. âDonât you think
sheâs a bit young to be a Luna?â she asks; her voice is low, almost a whisper, but still loud enough for
us to hear.
âOh, she only looks young, but she is older than Lucas.â
âReally?â
âMhm.â
Another one, a girl with dark hair and sunki*sed skin, looks me up and down with an eye roll. âSheâs not
beautiful, though. Why would a man like Lucas, who can change his appearance freely, pick someone
soâ¦plain?â
âUhâhuh,â another one agrees. âShe is nothing.â
âBut I bet Lucas feels bad for her because she is an orphan.â
âOh my god, youâre totally rightâLucas probably chose her to gain the sympathy of the older members
of the pack, those who are still sour about him deciding to be the sole Alpha.â
âYeah, thereâs really no other explanation for why he accepted Skylar as his mate.â
âItâs war times, too,â another one says with a shrug. âAnd guess what? Accepting your true mate makes
an Alpha incredibly strong, so yeah, he is probably just using her for the moment. But trust me, once
we are no longer at war, he will dump her for a prettier
woman.â
Daisy immediately stiffens beside me, and I can tell sheâs about to confront them, but I gently squeeze
her hand. âItâs fine,â I tell her softly. âI knew this wouldnât be easy.â
âBut they shouldnât-â
âLet them talk,â I interrupt her, pulling away reluctantly.â I need to get ready.â
Seeing the determination in my eyes, Daisy gives me an encouraging smile and lets go of my hand.
With the help of two older servantsâwho thankfully are much friendlierâI get my hair styled into a halfâ
updo with soft curls cascading down my back and minimal makeup to highlight my natural features.
I like my real skin to show, and I giggle when one of my red curls stubbornly falls into my face.
Thatâs more like the Skylar I know.
âNow thatâs a Luna if Iâve ever seen one,â Daisy says as she places her hands on my shoulders. âAre
you ready to head outside to meet your pack and your Alpha?â
Iâm not ready at all, yet I force a smile. âLetâs go.â
