Hii

I've been in a bind and it's been some time since I updated
I actually forgot I had a story here that needed finishing, apologies muffins
So today I bring you Lucas's baking adventures
I hope you enjoy this short, maybe boring chapter

Away from the drama and tucked in the kitchen, Lucas decided to bake. The beta had a sweet tooth and having to wait for the mouthwatering treats led him to explore just how they came to be. Logging into Pinterest he looked up simple baking recipes and came across the simple makings of a chocolate chip cookie.
"Doesn't look so hard" he mumbled to no one and watched the step by step procedure. After watching long enough to be memorized the beta shifted to the pantry to pull out the necessary ingredients. From the doorway Kyle leaned on the wood with arms folded, watching the beta move around the kitchen.
Well this should be good he thought as he watched the latter move around for the ingredients
Lucas let out the butter, placed it in a heated pan and began stirring. It melted with ease, turning a brown color and the quickly added a cup and quarter of brown sugar and continued stirring before taking the pan off the stove
From the door the alpha cocked his head to the side, watching in rapt attention. He wondered why the beta suddenly disappeared only to find him in the kitchen. Lucas was oblivious to the pair of eyes watching him and continued. In the butter mix bowl Lucas mixed a egg yolk, a full egg and a teaspoon of vanilla
"I don't like vanilla" Lucas scrunched his face at the vanilla but added it anyway. The recipe said so and baking is not as easy as disposing a body. He shrugged and turned to the bowl, reaching out for the flour and measuring one and three quarters, gently mixing with a three quarter measurement of baking soda and a pinch of salt
"Oh, this actually easy" Lucas smiled to no one and continued to gently mix the dry ingredients before adding the butter mix and adding chocolate chips. He molded them.into little balls because the cookie cutter was somewhere he wasn't bothered to look and he didn't want to share. A few more prices of chocolate chips were added to the molded pieces and placed in the fridge for 30 minutes.
"So you can bake" Lucas groaned at the voice and turned to see Kyle leaning on the door. No one was supposed to know dammit.
Lucas rolled his eyes, ignoring the alpha and removed the cookie molds from the fridge and popped them in the oven at 350° for 12 minutes.
"Those smell good" he hummed, stepping off the door and standing in front of the oven. Lucas held his collar and pulled him back "No"
Kyle chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "You're really protective of your cookies, aren't you?" He teased, his voice soft and playful.
Lucas rolled his eyes again, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Just leave them be," he muttered, turning back to the oven.
A few minutes later, the timer beeped, and Lucas quickly pulled the tray out of the oven. The aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the air, making Kyle's mouth water. He couldn't resist any longer.
"Can I have one?" he asked, his eyes wide with anticipation. Lucas hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Fine," he grumbled, grabbing a pair of tongs and selecting a cookie. He handed it to Kyle, who took a big bite. "Don't tell anyone, Beryl will grill me when he finds out"
"These are actually good" Kyle exclaimed, his eyes lighting up. "Not bad"
Lucas smirked and huffed a laugh. As they sat on the couch, enjoying the warm, gooey cookies, Lucas couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had not only baked a delicious treat, but he had also shared a moment of peace and joy with Kyle.
