Chapter 47
The Forsaken Luna’s Redemption
Chapter 47
HENRIETTA
It seemed like a dream that repeated itself. I once again found myself in front of a giant mirror, looking at my reflection, wondering if this was ever the right decision. I know it is because I had no other choice.
âMy lady,â Niana called and I looked up to see her from the reflection. She gave me a small smile before she entered the room, holding the box that contained my wedding dress. I immediately stood as she took the dress
out.
If it were another circumstance, I would have spent a long time marveling over the dress. However, time is not a luxury I have.
âSir Andreas is already at the foyer, my lady.â
âAnd the guests?â I inquired as I faced the mirror wearing the dress.
âSome of them have arrived already. The garden is big enough for your guests,â she said and I nodded before taking in a deep breath.
âHow do you feel, my lady?â she asked once again and I looked at her from the mirrorâs reflection. She was tying the laces of my dress at the back.
âNervous,â I started and I gasped as she tightened the lace. âScared.â
When she was done, I heard her sigh. âWill marrying Sir Andreas solve everything?â
I nodded, the corners of my lips curling into an assuring smile. âI believe so.â
She smiled at me. âIf that is what you believe in, then I believe in it too, my lady.â
I turned to face her and before she could ask me what was the matter, I wrapped my arms around her, hugging
her tight.
âThank you, Niana. For everything.â
I felt her wrap her arms around me. âI swore to take care of you, my lady. And I wonât turn back on my words.â

A knock interrupted our moment and the door opened only for me to see Andreas, adorned in his suit. He gave Niana a curt nod, prompting the latter to leave. My eyes were fixed on him as I recalled once again what we both shared. I was grateful for Nianaâs skills of putting colors on my cheeks as I did not have to hide the blush that
started to stain my face.
Andreas, on the other hand, stared at me, and then at the dress I was wearing. I cleared my throat and his eyes went back to mine and he smiled. âThey say itâs bad omen that a groom sees his bride before the wedding but ! canât sit still without knowing youâre fine.â
â|
âI am fine, Andreas.â
âThey took everything from you,â he said and invited himself in, leaning on the wall. âYouâre allowed to grieve
about it.â
I let out a smile. âI already did. Last night.â
He released a heavy sigh, his steps echoing softly as he closed the distance between us, the fabric of his suit rustling with each measured movement. âTheyâre going to regret it.â I wanted him to hold me but he didnât do anything. I was thankful for it too because if he had done it, I would have broken down and cried in front of him.
Cry for what they had done and what Iâve been through and cry for the redemption I am finally going to get.
âThat was my plan.â
His smile was warm and before he could say anything, a knock interrupted both of us. We both turned to the
door and saw Aiden, clad in his suit.
âEveryoneâs ready.â His eyes turned to Andreas. âAnd you shouldnât be here.ââ
I couldnât help the chuckle that escaped my mouth as Andreas turned away. He seemed like he had something to say but opted for silence, dipping his head before walking out, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
It was when Niana kept knocking that I rose to my seat. Only, it wasnât Niana.
âYouâre not supposed to be here,â I said coldly, meeting Philipâs gaze. He closed the door behind him.
âIâ¦I know. But I just want to see you.â
âDoes Yvette know youâre here?â

âShe did not need to know and she canât tell me what to do.â
I scoffed and turned my back, pretending to fix the pins on the table but in truth, I secretly hid a pin underneath my gownâs sleeve before I faced him again.
âHenny, are you sure about marrying my brother?â
I raised my brows. âAt first, I wasnât. But now I am certain. More certain than I ever felt at the thought of marrying you some time ago.â
I saw the hurt flashed in his eyes and I felt the satisfaction. âIâm sorry for what I did, Henny. I truly regret it. When I saw you with my brother, Iâ¦I canât take it.â
I let out a chuckle. âI donât think Yvette would like what you just said-
âStop talking about Yvette!â he yelled. I stared at him as he was panting. I used to be scared of him when his temper gets the better of him but now, I feel nothing but pure satisfaction.
âIf you only came here to ask me if I am sure about marrying Andreas, then you have my answer. I will marry.
him.â
I
âYouâYou wonât get anything from him! You have nothing in your name. He has nothing in his name other than his reputation. You wonât be able to survive in this world.â
âSo what are you trying to imply, Your Highness?â
He stepped closer to me and before I could step back, he held both my hands.
âYou can marry me instead. Marry me. You can become the Queen Luna of this Kingdom once I become the Alpha King. Iâll give everything to you.â
âAnd what of Yvette?â
âI donât care about here. I was only forced to marry her because it was fatherâs wish. Heâ¦he does not want you as my bride because youâre not a pureblood wolf.â He squeezed my hands. âBut it has always been you, Henny. Itâs always been you in my heart.â
âYouâll give me everything?â

He nodded, his eyes lighting up.
âYouâll do everything?â
âIf I am capable of doing it, then I will.â

I stared at him for a beat longer and took my hands from his grasp. âI will think of your proposal, Your Highness.â
âRâReally?â He swallowed. âDoes that mean youâre not going to marry Andreas?â
I waved a dismissive hand. âSilly. I am still going to marry him. Wouldnât it be unfair if youâre married to Yvette and I have none?â
I tried to stop my hands from trembling too much and I was glad I was able to do it. âI will think about your offer, Your Highness. For now, I have to put my focus on marrying Sir Andreas.â
Before I could walk out the door, he grabbed my arm. My other hand clenched at the pin that poked at the end of my sleeve.
âWhat do you mean youâre still going to marry him?â
âI will marry you if you divorce Yvette. But then even as sheâs out of the picture, your father will keep on keeping me out since I am not a pureblood. In that case, isnât it better for us to secretly become lovers if ever I agree to your proposal?â
His mouth hung open but then his grip loosened on my wrist. âYouâ¦Youâve changed.â
I gave him the sweetest smile I could muster. âRemember the night you took Yvetteâs hand and introduced her as your bride instead of me in front of everyone? That night shattered me, Philip. I had to pick myâbroken pieces back up and rebuild myself. It was difficult but I managed to build myself again. Thatâs why Iâve changed.â
I dipped my head as a sign of respect. âWell then, Your Highness. Iâll see you next time.â
