Chapter 148
After the Divorce: Crushed on My Lawyer Ex-wife
#148 âI Preferred Them Right Onâ¦â
âWhy didnât we have music?â Sophia asked after realizing how quiet it was on the roof.
âI was wondering when you would ask, â grinned Alexander. He got up and offered her a hand. Sophia smiled and followed him. Alexander ushered her back into the building.
âWhy were we coming back?â Sophia asked.
âBecause you wanted music, and I wasnât done with surprises.â
âMy God, was there more?â Sophia was amazed.
Alexander pushed the button on the elevator and took them down. As soon as the door opened in front of them, there was a long corridor with doors everywhere. Sophia looked at him in astonishment.
âWhen I asked about your past, it was because you were very interesting to me, and every time I discovered something new about you. However, a friend of yours helped me discover something else.â
âWhat?â
âYou were not only a talented lawyer, Sophia, but also a talented musician,â said Alexander and stopped in front of one of the doors.
âI played several pieces in front of you, âlaughed Sophia.
âRather, Iâm talking about the ones you didnât play for me. You had original compositions, and I knew it was a dream to hear them performed by an entire orchestra.â grinned Alexander.
Sophia stared at him. He opened the door and ushered her into one of the halls, which turned out to be a concert hall. A video was projected on the stage in which Sophia, as a student, presented her composition.
âWhere did you find that?â she laughed.
âWait,â said Alexander.
He gave a signal with his hand, and soon an entire orchestra was revealed before Sophieâs eyes, which began to play her song along with her video. The music filled the hall, a symphony of emotions intertwined with the visual story of Sophiaâs artistic journey. As the melodies resonated, Sophia was overwhelmed with a mixture of surprise, joy, and gratitude.
The harmonious notes of her composition filled the air, creating a magical ambiance in the concert hall.
Alexander watched her reaction with a satisfied smile, pleased with the success of his orchestrated surprise.
Sophia, moved by the unexpected serenade, couldnât help but be grateful for the depth of Alexanderâs understanding and the effort he put into making this evening truly unforgettable. As the last note lingered in the air, she turned to Alexander, her eyes shining with appreciation.
âThis was⦠incredible,â Sophia breathed out, her heart still resonating with the echoes of the music.
Alexander extended his hand. âShall we?â he invited, leading her to a more intimate spot in the hall where they could continue to enjoy the music and each otherâs company.
Sophia was still coming to terms with what Alexander had done for her. He spoke to her as he led her to a remote lodge, but she couldnât concentrate on his words.
As soon as he noticed that Sophia was not listening to him, Alexander approached her.
âWas everything okay?â he asked her carefully, running his hand through her back.
Sophia didnât answer. She stood on her toes and pulled him by the collar of his T-shirt. She kissed him hard and thirsty.
Alexander growled in satisfaction as their lips met. But then he carefully pulled her away from him.
âI didnât do it for that,â he told her.
âI know, âSophia whispered, her voice dripping with desire, and pulled him into another kiss.
Sophia realized for the first time how much she wanted him. She liked the feel of his strong arms around her body, his soft lips on hers, the taste of him, everything.
Sophia bit his lower lip and gave a small moan as he ran his fingers through her hair.
âSophia, if we kept going like thisâ¦â Alexander warned her.
âWhat would happen, Alexander?â Sophia defiantly asked him.
âYou had no idea how hard it was for me to keep my hands off you, did you?â
âIâm a big girl, Alex. And no one asked you to keep your hands off me. In fact, right now, I preferred them right onâ¦â
Alexander interrupted Sophia with a passionate kiss. The tension between them escalated, their bodies moving closer, and the world outside the lodge faded into the background as they succumbed to the fiery desire that had been building between them.
