Genevieve gave him a contemptuous look and turned away to walk past him.

“How did I fall for Anthony? I must be out of my mind!‘ she scolded herself inwardly.

Jasper waited by the car. When he saw her coming, he quickly opened the back door. “Ma’am…”

Genevieve took a look at his face and saw bruises and bloodstains at the corners of his mouth. Then, she bent

down into the car.

On the car, Genevieve hesitated and said, “Jasper, take a day off tomorrow and go to the hospital for a check–up. I’ll pay for it.”

Jasper smiled and changed the way he addressed Genevieve privately. ‘Ms. Lawrence, don’t worry about me. I know what to do. A cold compress will help, and the swelling will subside tomorrow. I was careless. Mr. Lawrence. warned me not to let Mr. Hoffman approach you before. I’ll pay more attention in the future.”

Brendan looked at Anthony’s gloomy face and could not help but complain, “Tony, you will get me into trouble.

What if Genevieve does not answer my phone calls in the future?”

Anthony glanced at him coldly and threw the phone back to him.

They turned to look in that direction and saw Rosalie and Quincey walk in. They were pushing a baby stroller where Samson, who looked like Anthony, was sitting.

They were like a mother–in–law and daughter–in–law with a good relationship traveling together.

Selene immediately recognized them and cursed in a low voice, “Damn, what bad luck. I lost my appetite for a good meal.”

Genevieve withdrew her gaze and raised her eyebrows nonchalantly. “Then pretend you didn’t see it.”

As soon as she finished her words, Rosalie saw Genevieve sitting there. She held Quincey’s arm and said piteously, “Mrs. Hoffman, isn’t that Ms. Lawrence? What a coincidence! Genevieve was momentarily stunned, and Selene could not help but stand up. “You old shrew, who took your son’s money? Your son cheated and supported a mistress and an illegitimate child. He ruined the family’s reputation himself. How dare you still blame Genevieve?” Selene suddenly broke the silence in the restaurant.

Quincey’s face turned pale in anger. As a noblewoman, she was used to being pampered by others, so she naturally would not admit defeat easily.

She retorted, “It’s because she is useless and has no ability to win her husband’s heart. She threatened us by means, which was disgraceful. She married for three years but failed to give birth to a child. How dare she show up? At least Rosalle had given birth to the first grandson of the Hoffman family!”
