“You can make such a claim when Eagle Entertainment becomes Anthony’s, but for now, my orders take precedence. It won’t be too late for you to assert yourself at that time,” she rebuked.

Furious, George paced around the office, swaying his waist with tightly twisted facial features. His shrill voice escalated as he harshly declared, “I’m quitting, and it’s on you!”

By resigning immediately upon Genevieve’s takeover, George aimed to create industry gossip about her.

Hence, George dared to threaten her with this method, making it clear that not everyone could be offended.

Genevieve raised her eyebrows and glanced at him with mockery. She scoffed and said, “Okay, you can write a resignation report, and I will approve it. You don’t have to come to work tomorrow.”

Wide–eyed with shock, George pointed to himself in disbelief and exclaimed, “Genevieve, how dare you fire me?”

Genevieve ignored him and sneered.

“If you want to be Anthony’s lapdog, I can write a letter of recommendation for you!” she added.

The fact that Eagle Entertainment’s shares were held by various parties, including those owned by Anthony, and the authority he wielded over the company did not concern her.

Given George’s infatuation with being Anthony’s lapdog, she decided to indulge his desires.

After all, he would persist in being an eyesore for her by remaining in the company.

George’s eyes widened in shock as he realized that Genevieve didn’t adhere to his expectations. She neither tried to persuade him to stay nor attempted to plea for his forgiveness.

‘How dare she?‘ he thought.

Staring at her stiffly, George extended his finger and pointed rudely at Genevieve.

“Genevieve, do you understand the implications of my departure? Do you grasp the extent of the damage Eagle Entertainment will endure? If I leave, the artists and resources the company has now will follow suit. You will bear the responsibility for all the ensuing losses. Even if you were to beg me, I won’t return. Don’t regret it!” he promised.

Genevieve smiled. Her expression remained unfazed.

“Goodbye, George,” she said.

She looked up at him with hints of disdain flickered in her eyes.

George trembled with anger, and his finger shook in tandem.

“Okay, just you wait!” he screamed with a high–pitched tone, showing no intention of lowering his voice. With that,

he left.

A loud bang resounded.

He slammed the door of her office and left.

Coldly, Genevieve stared at the door. She hadn’t initially planned to single out George so soon.

However, his persistent attempts to humiliate her and flaunt his power left her with little choice.

If she tolerated it now, he would continue pushing her limits, but she refused to remain a perpetual loser.

Jessica was the one who spoke up for the company. If Genevieve failed to treat Jessica fairly this time, it would be equivalent to digging a hole for Genevieve.

Genevieve was determined not to let her own people down.

Soon, Jasper knocked on the door and came in with a solemn face.

“Ms. Lawrence, I just heard that George encouraged the company’s actors to join a new company collectively and aimed to take away the brand resources we possess. If he leaves, will it have an impact on us?” he asked.

Genevieve chuckled and stood up to brew coffee for herself.

“Don’t worry. The big shots and A–listers won’t leave. After all, besides facing significant penalties, they wouldn’t willingly work for small studios. He may attract those who are unknown and seeking opportunities to flatter, but they won’t matter much. Instead, it can help us to clear out the pests,” she reassured,

Jasper looked at her knowingly and smiled with relief.

“I see. No wonder you’re not worried,” he pointed out.

Genevieve raised her eyebrows, took a sip of coffee leisurely, and breathed a sigh of relief. Then, she handed him

the list on the table.

“Remove Rosalie and have Jessica join the show.”

Originally, she didn’t intend to allow Rosalie to remain in Eagle Entertainment.

Jasper nodded, took the list, and went out to carry out her order.

That night, as soon as George’s resignation letter was handed in, Genevieve immediately approved it..

She didn’t even hesitate for a minute.

Finally, he took away two young actors who had just entered the industry with him. No one else agreed to go

him readily.

Genevieve heard that George was angry and scolded them for being ungrateful in the company.

Nevertheless, he succeeded in acquiring the resources of several dress and jewelry brands that were closely

associated with him.

Genevieve remained silent upon learning about it but instructed the lawyer to ensure they pursued penalties.

After all, there was no reason to forgo any opportunity to earn money.

George didn’t plan to let Genevieve off the hook easily when he left.

That night, he posted an update on his social account that read: [The kind will easily get taken advantage of always! I am starting my own business!]

Because of his influence in the circle, many celebrities went to the comment section to comfort him.

One commented: [A new broom sweeps clean! I pity you, George.]

Another said: [George, don’t give up!]

Another person wrote: [George, you’re so kind. Don’t allow yourself to be wronged!]

At home, Genevieve glanced briefly at the comment section and couldn’t help shaking her head.

George’s words painted a picture of Genevieve as a mean, vicious employer driving away heroes.

The comments below subtly expressed dissatisfaction toward her.

Celebrities, mindful of their futures, refrained from directly scolding Genevieve.

However, they insinuated and made sarcastic comments, expressing pity for George.

The underlying sentiment was unhappiness with Genevieve for pushing George away.

It was quite a scene.

However, Genevieve wasn’t bothered by it.

After taking a shower, her phone rang. It was a call from Samantha.

She answered the phone happily.

“Mom, are you back from filming?” she asked.

Samantha’s voice was as calm as ever. She smiled and answered, “No, I saw the news on the Internet and called

you. Do you need any help?”

Genevieve raised her eyebrows and wasn’t reluctant to accept Samantha’s help.

“If you have something on him, can I use it?” she asked,

Samantha chuckled and said affectionately, “I knew you would readily accept it. I will ask someone to deal with it.”

They talked for a while before hanging up the phone.

Genevieve knew that Samantha would not have tolerated individuals like Geroge displaying arrogance and dominance in the company without having something on him.

She answered it and heard Selene’s voice coming from the other side.

“Gen, have you checked the Internet? Mr. George was exposed yesterday!” Selene exclaimed.

Genevieve’s mind went blank for a moment. She slowly opened her eyes and gradually returned to her senses.

“Ms. Quinn, I haven’t got up yet!” she complained.

Selene didn’t pay heed to her complaints and continued to share the gossip, “Last night, they insinuated things about you

with full righteous indignation. Now, the whole entertainment industry is acting dumb. The video of George asking a newcomer to kneel and clean his shoes at the banquet leaked. He was displeased that the newcomer cleaned his shoes too slowly, so he poured red wine on the newcomer’s head and said the latter would be banned. He was so arrogant and tyrannical in it. How can he claim to be kind?”
